Buffett’s Apple Stock Selloff Aftermath
Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) cut its Apple stake by nearly 50%, reducing holdings from 790 million to 400 million shares.
Index funds now need to buy $40 billion in Apple shares during the next rebalance, next month.
This change means that Apple’s true market value will finally be reflected in major indexes, increasing its weight from 94% to 100% in the S&P 500.
Shares in other companies may decline as funds sell to make room for Apple.

Trump's Campaign Hacked
Trump's campaign revealed that internal communications were hacked, with foreign sources suspected.
An anonymous person, using the name “Robert,” sent emails to POLITICO with authentic documents. These included a detailed dossier on Trump's running mate, JD Vance.

Deadly Plane Crash in Brazil
A plane crash near São Paulo killed all 62 passengers on board. On Friday, VoePass Flight 2283 fell from 17,000 feet, crashing into a residential area in Vinhedo.
Experts suggest the aircraft stalled. Stalling occurs when a plane loses lift, causing it to spin and fall. Possible factors include loss of speed, ice buildup on wings, or pilot error.
Rescue teams confirmed all bodies were recovered, with 34 males and 28 females identified.
Brazil’s authorities and the Federal Police have launched investigations into the circumstances of the deadliest aviation accident since January 2023.

FDA Denies MDMA Therapy
The FDA rejected the use of MDMA, often called Ecstasy, for PTSD therapy. The agency cited insufficient data on safety and efficacy as the main reasons.
Seven years ago, the FDA designated MDMA treatment as a “breakthrough therapy.” Researchers believed they could soon see approval. However, the FDA now demands another clinical trial.
An independent panel of experts voted against the therapy, raising doubts about its effectiveness.
Although one trial showed 71% of participants no longer met PTSD criteria, the panel pointed to potential risks and flaws in study design.
