Abortion Rights and the Election
At least 2.6 million voters supported both Donald Trump and state-level abortion protections.
Missouri passed an amendment, challenging the state's stringent abortion ban, making it the first state to potentially undo such legislation. Roughly half of Missouri voters favor legal abortion in most cases.
Amendments supporting abortion rights succeeded in Arizona, Colorado, and Maryland. Florida voters rejected a measure to protect abortion rights.

Canada Orders TikTok to Dissolve, Not Ban
Canada has decided not to block TikTok but ordered the dissolution of TikTok Technology Canada Inc.
This decision follows a national security review of the Chinese company, ByteDance Ltd., which owns TikTok. Industry Minister FranƧois-Philippe Champagne emphasized that Canadians can still access the app and create content.
The dissolution aligns with the Investment Canada Act, which reviews foreign investments that may threaten national security.
Prior to this, Canada had already banned TikTok on government-issued devices, reflecting ongoing scrutiny of the app in North America.
