Goldman Sachs Faces Tough Stress Test Outcome

Goldman Sachs took a hit in the Federal Reserve’s latest annual stress test. The test measures how large banks would react to severe economic conditions.

Goldman performed worse than its rivals, with a predicted loss exceeding $40 billion in a downturn. This could force the bank to hold an extra $6 billion in capital, limiting its operations and investor rewards.

According to the Federal Reserve, all 31 banks in the test, including JPMorgan and Bank of America, are well-capitalized to handle a severe recession.

The severe recession scenario included drastic drops in real estate prices and a spike in unemployment.

OpenAI's Security Breach

Last year, hackers infiltrated OpenAI’s internal messaging systems. They managed to steal design details of the company's AI technology.
