ande...Trump purports to be a fiscal conservative but is demolishing the structure that supported the longest and greatest period of economic expansion in America and the world. Like all populists, he promises to save jobs in sunset industries like coal, fossil fuels, and manufacturing, rather than investing in education and infrastructure that would position America for success in future generations. We are witnessing the Fall of the American Empire.
grac...Reagan’s approach did not work then and it won’t work now. This is the reality.
bret...The add was completely accurate and honest. It should be used leading up to the midterm elections.
nanc...Most likely all of the above, and why not? Our president needs to be provoked with the truth, which he currently is not getting from any of his fellow lawmakers.
ocds...Better question: how dumb are Orange Turd's tariffs? A) Dumb B) Really Dumb C) Bone Spurs Dumb
atli... Accuracy of the message has never been a concern of Trump unless someone else adopts his practice.
suzi...Taken out of context to create anxiety. Not helpful in an already anxious climate.
nmik...Canada is so far left its worse than California.
usct...Trump’s reaction is two fold, maybe more. He and MAGA always need a fresh enemy to blame. And Trump’s reaction will distract from the shutdown, ballroom, Epstein Files, and the overall incompetence of the Trump Administration. Watch how quickly the Republican leadership lines up. This will tell us they have given up their critical thinking skills. I wonder how long it will take for MAGA folks to realize that they are being played?
sher...He started this
jell...Province head Ford had taken a very confrontational approach to reciprocal tariffs months ago threatening to cut off electricity that Ontario provides to some US cities.
jeff...Trump’s tariffs are unbelievable! Hopefully they will all be tossed!
bfph...Nothing quoted out of context can be considered honest critique. It’s a political manipulation in collusion with media. It happens every day
cdko...Trump is an idiot
jbis...It was selectively edited to make it sound like President Reagan opposed all tariffs when in fact, he did not.
shha...Go Tariffs Go
robe...Honest with typical touch of provocation to drive action unlike the US currently.
rtet...People from a sovereign nation, other than our own, are allowed to defend their countries. Ronald Reagan's words were not taken out of context. Anything he disagrees with, Trump calls a lie.
0607...Canada imposes tariffs on US but does not want US tariffs on Canada. Canada looks very hypocritical.
angi...I
elin...You didn't provide enough information, such as the fact that the quoted language was in reverse order and had gaps where other language was present. This information would have provided meaningful context you your readers and therefore more informed responses.
ther...The only thing consistent with Donald Trump is that if he is doing anything, it will be self serving.
rich...Trump policy is misguided. We need to work with other nations and respect them instead of trying to bully them
ljob...I didn’t see the ad.
crai...It's literally Regan's speech.
tapp...Removing all tariffs and fees from either side is the only solution. True free trade.
swjo...Consider the source
mike...Everyone/every country is sick of Trump and his know-it-all concept of tariffs. I think it's a two-pronged ad because of that. Few world leaders have the guts to stand up to this dimwitted bully and good for the Canadians to call out the truth!
jmla...Trump is a disease and America is suffering from a pandemic of trumpism!
orey...Economic and global trade were in very different circumstances 40 years ago compared to today. In a recent trip to Toronto there are boycotts of tariffed goods from the U.S. by businesses. It sounds like the citizens are willing to pay more.
tere...Saint Reagan's tariff observations remain accurate, DJT's tantrum notwithstanding
gmom...It was just quoting Regan
clar...The ad in fact was UNEDITED.

Do you think the pardon of Changpeng Zhao will strengthen or weaken trust in crypto markets?

atli...Corrupt players like Trump and those he pardons make for good partners in crime.
regi...It helps the dollar decline even more.
bosc...Once again, another criminal gets a pardon from our felon president.
ocds...Release the Epstein files
csbr...Kleptocracy at it's finest, keep Making Americans Gullible Again and again and again....
tubi...he paid dumb donald the petty-file off.
bhad...All grifters
robe...About what he can gain or increase his current gains nothing to do with trust.
bjef...They've always been a ponzi scheme. It won't weaken my trust in the cryptom markets because it was always zero.
jeff...Trump is more concerned with his crypto empire than anything else.
rich...Obvious that Trump has his pockets open. Comparing this crime to Comey is like comparing a Joe Frazier left hook to an ant touch ABSOLUTELY CORRUPT
twin...trump is all in this for the $$$$$$$$! He will Rape our country for every cent we have. He is ruining relations with other countries and hatred is growing around the world toward the us. DISGUSTING!!
mdul...I don't think this will have any effect on people's trust (or mistrust) of crypto markets. I think people will see it as just another instance of Trump's "Pardons for Payoffs" scheme. That perception and reality erodes people's trust in the judicial system and adds further skepticism to all things political in our country, but will have no effect on crypto trust.
bret...This along with various other Trump actions erodes the trust in the rule of law in the US. Anyone willing to support the Trump administration is free to break laws with zero consequences. Pay a bribe, compliment the president and you are forgiven for any wrong.
nanc...The amount of corruption taking place in this administration is staggering.

How significant is the threat of organized crime infiltrating professional sports through gambling scandals?

  • 81% Very significant
  • 14% Somewhat significant
  • 5% Overstated

rand...This is what gambling does. Greed. Make a quick buck. It inevitably leads to corruption.
chri...The pervasiveness of legalized gambling has likely corrupted all American sports. I’m someone who never gambles and I find it to be a social ill, like alcoholism and drug addiction- “kills” families and causes much pain.
crai...High salaries for professional athletes limit the upside to taking bribes. College level, however, is a different story.
nanc...I’m surprised the trump’s weren’t involved. Oh wait, even if they were, we’d never know.
robe...Very significant would suggest that the "fix" went away at some point in time...but it really has never left.
ccar...It's organized crime's goal to infiltrate & control.

Given the arrest and escape of Zhang, is Mexico currently an effective partner in drug enforcement?

bjef...Of course, they can always bribe Trump to pardon them, so what's the difference?
nanc...I think Claudia Sheinbaum has done more than her predecessors, but it’s a lucrative industry that continues to grow. She’s turned several cartel leaders over to the U S, but it’s a drop in the bucket.

How familiar are you with kopi luwak coffee prior to reading this article?

  • 64% Not familiar at all
  • 24% Somewhat familiar
  • 12% Very familiar

chri...How can you not know that something this silly exists?
ehis...Can be replicated without the bird with safer and better quality management.
tayl...More attention should have been given to the negative welfare and conservation impacts of kopi luwak. Sure, the science is interesting, but appearing to promote kopi luwak is irresponsible and harmful.
mdul...I had heard reference to coffee beans extracted from feces on some TV show but I thought it was a humorous point made to ridicule our fascination with various coffee types around the world. Amusing to read it here.
nanc...I’ve heard about it, but would never drink it.
walk...I think I can continue on without this…..
naom...The ethical concerns are warranted. These animals are caged and abused. The practice should be banned.
