jon.... | Trump is a moron! |
ed_c... | China sees Trump for what he is, a rogue narcissist with no real economic plan. They know this is the moment they have wanted to take down the US as the leader of the world. They’re forging alliances with our best trading partners and expanding their existing relationships. A trade War is still a War. And China is treating it as such. They will not surrender. They will not cave. Only the delusional believe they will. |
brow... | It is because of trump and his ridiculous tariffs. They will hurt Americans more than the countries we receive imports from. |
ddb7... | China will win this battle. Their citizens have thousands of years of frugality whereas Americans have not experienced this since George W Bush and Herbert Hoover |
flor... | you can follow mfa_china on INS, they claimed already to not response to Trump. |
geng... | Other countries will step in although China profits might be lower. |
kear... | China needs to be more cooperative with the US and around the world. |
ldev... | Every foreign country knows that Trump is mentally deranged. The biggest danger when facing Trump is that he has access to the nuclear codes |
herm... | The civil unrest in China is pushing to a regine change, long live Democracy! Push on people of China! |
mich... | China leverages forces against them into strength |
sopa... | The tariffs are on american people and on american business. They are the road to poverty. It's a stupid decision. |
nanc... | I think they see Trump for what he is, a blowhard bully who will not be able to follow through with this plan. He could have followed the tariff program similar to his first term, which gave him leverage and was popular with his constituents, but 145% is insane! |
shei... | They will try to Win.abd r quite angry.. |
dave... | Chinas Belt and road initiative as well as collaboration of other developing countries will help reduce the pain caused by tariffs. |
jbed... | I'm backing China on this one. Trump is a fool and his tariffs are just stupid-just like his supporters. |
bren... | China is a bully, and they are now showing signs of stress in threatening other countries to not accept tarriff bargains from the U.S.. Who would want to deal with them? Tarriffs are a good negotiation tactic to get trade back on track. |
cica... | Yes. And the boot licking Scott Bessent could only talk about the Chinese losing 10 million jobs over this. Whatever happened to America first? Why isn’t Scott Bessent talking about American jobs. Oh right I keep forgetting Scotty sacrificed his reputation and his integrity to take a place at Trumps feet. |
atli... | Trump's unnecessary war against China has left them no other choice but to fight back. |
pjpa... | Bloomberg ran a story stating China has unilateral started pulling back tariffs after having to infuse capital into their economy last Saturday in an emergency maneuver |
geor... | I will be surprised if Xi blinks first. And with China and Japan having such huge investments in US Treasury bonds, they have power over our markets as they showed earlier this month when both countries sold Treasuries and panicked the markets and the President - their action caused the President to call a 90 day pause on some tariffs! |
nobi... | Xi is also unyielding |
pman... | They realize this is their chance to over take the USA. They actually look like the god guys. Trump and his style will destroy almost everything that has made America strong. |
zack... | The U.S. learned nothing during Covid. It’s time to cut China off. We cannot be dependent on a communist country for essential goods anymore! Chinas economy cannot function without the U.S. buying all the slave labor goods. |
pfor... | We will feel the pain faster than China. Hopefully Trump will see the light--and I'm sure will try to spin it as a win.... |
alan... | It will take around 18 months, they will cave or invade Tawain and then cave. |
tubi... | china will take advantage of the mess that dumb donald created and solidify and create new trade partnerships with scorned allies. |
kvcu... | They will find other countries to export to. |
char... | It won’t happen over night but negotiations will play out eventually. |
hsch... | Anyone who thought that this would happen overnight has NEVER accomplished a large task! This is the correct path, it will make our Country Safer and Stronger along with other Initiatives that are making our Country Great Again! The Democrats continue to have Nothing to offer on any front…our Government needs an Overall Restructuring to eliminate Waste, Fraud, Corruption, and DOGE is the Correct Vehicle to address the Deep State bureaucracy that has for many Years underserved America! DOGE must be Spearheaded by a Competent Group of Business savvy Private Citizens such as Elon Musk to root out Goverment Corruption by any Party, Agency or Individual!!! Trump has a Mandate from his Election, he is doing the hard things that need doing for this Country! Fake News and the Democrats continue their Woke, Lawless Stupidity! They need to be Rooted out and exposed for their Obstruction and Corruption….they need Prosecuted to the Maximum Extent of their Crimes!!!! |
nata... | They will outlast the bully. They can trade with other countries. |
moni... | The Chinese government has sad they are in it for the long haul. Unlike feckless confused ignorant Trump they mean it. I believe they will save face and remain in a position of strength. |
csbr... | China owns the United States |
mery... | Eventually, the decline in their exported goods will be too much, and they’ll wanna make a deal. It will take China a little bit to realize how one-sided and weighted toward China things have been |
jkjv... | The Chinese, culture is different then western culture. They are long term thinkers. They are a powerhouse with influence around the world. They are also ran by a dictator. The hardships that the common people in china isn't a concern to get government. They will make it sound like they need to back government. |
mike... | Tump is an IDIOT |
sara... | They made it clear that they don’t respect Trump and are treating him as a bully. They won’t be bullied or extorted. |
kath... | They will find other countries to fill instead of US |
ham3... | This question is a bit premature as it takes governments at least 1 year to see the implications of whats happening today. Believe China will eventually cave in the end once today hits their economy in the furture months to come. |
luke... | Well, I’m not an intellicual. If I have the power and influence. I would tell everyone not to buy anything until his term is up. Then the next guy will put thing back like it was. If people don’t have patience, how quickly we forgot 2020 to 2023. If someone is actually reading this. Answer me this question. Can this guy be here if there was a younger male competitor instead of going against two females. I think The public don’t think female can rule with logic than with emotion. Contact me at [email protected] if no reply in a week, then I have to let the public know that this place is bogus. |
ebr.... | China has existed far longer than us, so they have unmatched discipline. Trump is dumb and unqualified. |
jeff... | We need a bold economic adjustment for the long run of this great country, the media is not sharing the many positive reactions of the market, which is typical of the main stream media. People forget very quickly that from 2016 to 2020 we had the largest, strongest economic growth in over 2 decades gas prices were around $1.65 per gallon. Starting in 2020 prices of gas was close to $5.00/gallon, food prices doubled. Why are Americans so short sited? Give it time. American needs onshore manufacturing, fair import tax. Give it time. |
raj.... | The Chinese will never publicly back out, it's a "face saving" issue. |
gerd... | Trump is a moron. The damage his tariffs inflicted will be felt strongly over the next few months. We will spend billions to bail out farmers, who are failing. They should question why they voted for him..... |
john... | Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing. |
sims... | They have plenty of money to supplement their businesses |
neil... | We are witnessing the death throes of the USA and the $. Hopefully the US will go quietly and not eradicate the human race. |
alfa... | They feel they can go else where in the world . I’m hoping that I’m wrong but they don’t like being told what to do . If the country can get the rest of the world going in the right direction and negotiate good deals , then I believe China will get on board . But if the congress and senate don’t back this and China see weakness in our government they will still squeeze the USA! |
domb... | This will bring about a contraction for the U.S. that will drive the global economy into collapse. |

Do you agree with Trump's decision to ease auto tariffs?
- 81% Yes, it's a necessary relief for the industry
- 19% No, it's a mistake that undermines economic strategy
Comments | |
---|---|
bill... | I'm 84, steelworker built integrated mill in the 60 in Turkey, Welcomed Japanese in the 70's giving proprietary designs to them in name of co-operation. Dismantled tagged & shipped 2 entire bar mills to the Chinese inthe early 80's. They all have subsidized there industries and used non tariff means the degrade our steel and auto industry. In 1971 a ton of prime steel sold for $500 and when I retired in 1993 a ton of prime steel sold for 500 a ton. When I hired in at Inland Steel they had 25,500 employees. When I retired in '93 there were10,000, today down to about 3700. You do the math. These foreign countries and our so called politicians, statesmen, sold this country out. |
mary... | Strategy????? HAHAHAHA. |
oldp... | Tariffs should be applied surgically whose impact NEEDS to be evaluated on our domestic manufactures large and small. |
rawe... | While in the right direction it is not enough |
hbde... | Either the strategy is impose tariffs and get manufacturing moved back to US and increase jobs, in which case the tariffs have to be long term otherwise why will manufacturers make the investment in new plants etc, or it isn't in which case the tariffs should be eliminiated. |
ed_c... | The original tariffs were so ill conceived they had no choice but to walk them back! More to come as this statement can be repeated infinitely. |
msyk... | If tariffs are bad for the auto industry, why not for the rest? They are for all. The question is what did the administration extract in return that other, less organized industries are not able to offer? |
drus... | He should have done impact studies before he changed trade policies. |
mass... | He should ever have started this to begin with! It it’s the most idiotic tactic and it hurts all Americans except the very rich. |
tubi... | dumb donald waffles to maintain his perceived popularity. he fumbled what should have been a good strategy and has been nothing but an embarrassment to the US and the business world. |
jpau... | No strategy here, just erratic decision making. |
moni... | We should not have his stupid tariffs in the first place. And this move is only for one part of the many other components that are affected |
shal... | Trump is a punk who had to bad pedal his stupidity. His bully tactics did not work on China. |
lila... | they've screwed with the economy enough. I think the auto industry got some relief now in hopes of getting more down the road when they prove they cannot set up US manufacturing of parts that fast or at all. And they wqwill jack the price anyway and kickback money to the felon |
pfor... | Orange man should never have done it! |
cica... | Once again Anna, incomplete answer choice. The present tariff policy needs to be entirely discontinued. After a decade of listening to the right rail against “picking winners and losers.” This is exactly what they’re doing now. None of these tariffs made an ounce of sense when they were announced. They don’t make an ounce of sense now. It’s pretty bad when your own president is punishing the entire country in a trade war he’s going to lose. |
ddb7... | The uncertainty of Trump policies and Trump tariffs and his wavering commitment to those policies is collapsing the American economy |
ham3... | If we're going to go thru it then let's go thru it |
john... | He’s easing the auto tariffs to appease companies that donate to him. |
liz.... | I think ALL of Trump's tarriffs are bad, will hurt americans and will destabilze world order. |
ebr.... | He has no plans. Don’t give him any credit. |
Do you believe the U.S. military's airstrikes in Yemen are justified to protect shipping routes?
- 81% Yes, they are necessary for national security
- 19% No, they escalate conflict and harm civilians
Comments | |
---|---|
mary... | 👊🇺🇸🔥 That’s our foreign policy, right? |
sims... | They’re disrupting normal people lives who are not part of the conflict. They should stay in their lane |
atli... | Since the US has no interest in international trade, it would appear that this is solely a military operation to help Israel kill Palestinians with American weapons paid for by US taxpayers. |
cfbo... | Peace through strength. Iran’s proxies have been allowed to operate with impunity and are emboldened. They must be stopped. |
mary... | Yes of course! |
rich... | They are necessary to protect International interests along with ours |
barb... | It saddens me for elders, women & children that have been and will be harmed. |
mccp... | These attacks waste military resources that would be better spent negotiating and stopping the slaughter in Gaza |
ttim... | Enough is enough, we need those lanes. |
bear... | Kill them all and let god sort them out |
elin... | They are likely a waste of US resources in that the Houthis will continue their strikes because they have extensive underground resources, and furthermore, the shippers are still avoiding the straits by taking the longer route. |
ebr.... | Getting rid of Putin is a national security issue. |
ed_c... | Stop the genocide in Gaza. That is step one to negotiations with the Houti. |
tubi... | theres more here than just 'protecting shipping routes' . let the country that is aggravating this take care of their own problem without my tax dollars being involved in any way whatsoever. |
bruc... | Just wipe out these cave people |
smcb... | Iran and its proxies must be all dealt with to have Middle East peace. |
cica... | Again there’s a lot that’s not known about what’s going on. Because the UK is involved I have a feeling the whole operation is legit. But you start out saying it was a coalition venture and then you wind up saying that it was an American intervention. Which is it? |
zack... | So tired of watching first world countries slaughter innocent people to kill bad guys. Killing these people always results in making much more enemies. |
Do you think Meta's Llama can unseat OpenAI as the market leader in AI?
- 80% No
- 20% Yes
Comments | |
---|---|
bren... | They are late to the game and seem to be absent at the wheel, managing the company. |
grah... | Probably a scam and all the lies told on FB feeding into it |
barb... | What do I know?! 😅 |
mary... | I hope not |
elin... | There’s not enough information provided to speculate well. |
Do you think non-invasive treatments are preferable to medication for mental health issues?
- 93% Yes, I favor non-invasive methods
- 7% No, medication has its benefits
Comments | |
---|---|
meli... | Actually, this isn’t either/or. I would choose BOTH |
chri... | however, it reminds me of the mysterious illnesses suffered by some US embassies — that said, with recent funding cuts & large quantities of research scientist brain drain would this concept ever come to fruition? |
nord... | anything not put into your body either by a pill or a shot is always better for the body. |
ham3... | Are you kidding me? |
mary... | That is fascinating |
conn... | I have PTSD. I am working with a therapist to resolve this issue. I would welcome any alternative treatment. |
nanc... | Totally! |
perm... | Non-invasive, medication free treatments should be considered first, not second. Medications are useful and often necessary, but tend to be over used, abused and have negative side effects. Children especially should only be treated with medication as a last resort. |
pken... | I have severe PTSD and none of these other forms of treatment have had any effect to date. It would be great if they did, but nothing worthwhile so far. |
Have you ever experienced symptoms like cold feet or heavy legs?
- 47% Yes
- 40% No
- 13% Not sure
Comments | |
---|---|
elgo... | Who hasn’t had cold feet? |
meli... | And varicose veins are increasing in my mid-seventies |
kmai... | I always have cold feet & I have varicose veins. My mum & dad also had them! |
