yash...I never gave my info to anyone with transaction through crypto tokens
simo...The problem lies with the fact that stolen crypto can be cashed out without a trace anywhere anytime no questions asked makes these firm a constant target. It’s just a matter of time till the next one.
nanc...Not sure of any companies in the crypto system.
elli...I think all bit coins are eventually going to fail
jsch...I have been hacked and they were totally useless to help me. Absolutely no protection at all
kvcu...I think all these crypto are scams...a house of cards that will come down.
arie...With enough money, experience, dedication and CPU power, every Company is hackable. The important question/ is the prediction, detection and prevention system robust enough?
wvoe...Anywhere that employees humans is susceptible to this kind of fraud. Insiders are always the top risk
pfor...Crypto is not regulated. You have to look no further than Grifter Trump and how he has manipulated crypto.
jimb...No company is safe
lwhc...Crypto in general is vulnerable to anonymous hacking that is almost impossible to resolve. Quantum computing will render crypto security useless if it hasn’t already. Shortage of electricity generation is a major issue.
jrv1...There is risk
rtet...Crypto is not safe. Investors have no legal recourses.
btaw...Safe from what? No regulations for cyber currencies. Volatile market. Not getting my money.
tlor...Would be great to have a follow up and understand why so many said no.

I wasn’t alerted until AFTER all the money was gone. Coinbase refused to share the hackers identity.. even though they had access to that information. Total scammers.
jmbe...I don't think anything within the crypto ecosystem is safe.
dung...I lost my bitcoin on Coinbase. They blew me off . I thought that I was insured through them?

Do you believe that consumers should expect a wave of price increases across all retail sectors due to tariffs?

  • 88% Yes, it’s inevitable
  • 11% No, prices will stabilize
  • 1% Unsure

EmailComments
nanc...Even though there’s a 90 day pause on the insanely high tariffs with China, the current 30% is still pretty high. Thanks, trump, you sure are “making America great again”. NOT!!
btaw...Retailers are sitting inventory which cost more due to tariffs and they will pass it on to consumers. Then we had supply chain disruption for several weeks with no goods coming in, which may slow down sales, but jack up prices some more.
jllm...Stabilize/? There is a few more bridges out there for sale.
kath...Yes, but increases will hopefully be temporary.
joey...Consumers will correct the prices (will stop buying)
sara...As long as tariffs are welded on personal whim by a moron who doesn't understand that they are a tax on the American people, this will continue to happen
simo...And if Taarif ever gone the prices will remain the same
pman...Everything moves down a river
kold...Rather than only raising prices on tariff'd goods, prices will rise across the board, both to even out the impact of the tariffs, and as a profit making strategy.
exmx...In my opinion ALL retailers will take advantage of this debacle. Sometimes I feel like younger people can’t figure out the math to understand percentages. Like taxes I’m afraid when prices go up a few penny's, the retailers will raise a few dollars. Then it’ll take forever for them to return back to the pre tariff times. That is American greed. Shame on our retailers.
grah...Late stage capitalism
btmi...Tarifa increased for a bit longer than a month and have now been reduced below what they were in March. Prices should not be affected long term due to tariffs.
tubi...yes, retailers will see an opportunity to exploit consumers, while blaming something or someone else, then when things calm down the prices dont come down because theyve normalized ripping the public off.
erwi...Of course... And even if tariffs go down, don't expect those prices to go down.
dian...Now maybe Americans will stop buying so much junk that ends up in landfill. We can also focus on locally grown food.
cica...Of course! Greedy American corporations will use the tariffs as cover to raise prices on all kinds of things that don’t actually cost them anymore to provide. Just like they used “inflation“ as an excuse to jack up all kinds of prices that weren’t really affected by inflation.
dwal...We’ve got to go through this until tariffs are fair U.S. Won’t last forever and we be in better shape in the end.
duxb...Prices will be increased by all suppliers because they can
elli...The tariffs are so bad for our economy especially the low income population.
gena...Whether tariffs affect or not, some businesses will raise prices to take advantage of customers and situation.
gnku...Doesn't matter. We have to become independent.
to55...Tarriffs are at unfair Tax on the American People !
nest...No brainer. If costs go up 30%, prices will follow
nord...However, I think these stores may raise prices more than it is costing them to make more money off the consumer! Greed of large stores!
zack...Trump admin did say consumers will feel a little pain. It’s shows us, yet again, just how dependent we are on our biggest adversary. We learned nothing from Covid. We have to separate from China
bfph...Most of this will be short term as tariff negotiations play out. Other increases are not significant amounts, or necessary items, i.e. game box increases.
mary...Corporations never miss an opportunity to increase profits
jrv1...Not sure how you avoid price hikes. WMT has always been tough on vendors to keep prices low. It can’t sell items for less than they pay for them. Tariffs cause price increases
geof...Duh!
andy...I trust nothing the administration says
jose...I can’t believe how dumb Trump voters are about tariffs!
ebr....Trump is bad for America.

Should social media platforms like Meta be held legally responsible for user-generated scams?

  • 88% Yes, they should face legal consequences
  • 12% No, users should be responsible for their own choices

EmailComments
exmx...The platforms need better policing. Right now I’m pretty good at spotting a scam. But as prices rise a little (hopefully just a little) more people will be looking for deals. I hold the leaders of these platforms responsible.
btaw...If the have obvious policies and/or practices that do not fight fraud, they should be culpable. It may not be easy or entirely successful to eliminate all fraud, but make a good faith effort. Ads on my personal feed are maddening and seems 80% of what I see are ads, which they make very difficult for a user to eliminate. It takes about 4-5 clicks to delete an ad, and the ad reappears soon after. If Meta can code their product to make it hard for users to manage ads, they can make it just as hard or harder for bad actors to place ads.
rrbe...The platform does not regulate or police itself. It allows scams and porn on a regular basis.
ljob...Meta makes money off of our information without any responsibility for the sale of it and the introduction to cyber thieves.
jllm...It’s not them, who ?
perm...This type of ongoing fraudulent activity that is not addressed by the media platform raises serious concerns about their ability to protect users in other areas. It creates a lack of trust all around.
grah...Again - money over people and late stage capitalism
kath...Absolutely, if they can put steps in place to prevent scams and they choose not to these platforms should be held accountable.
joe....This is what happen when children get to run companies. Meta is a joke.
andy...I have been scammed especially by clothing companies on facebook for a few years
cica...Yes, this is why fucker Berg was at Trump’s inauguration. Because he wants the government to prevent holding his company accountable for major breaches, and security that affect users.
skid...They need to vet the advertisers utilizing their platform
jimb...Meta etc. is just a platform. Is a car rental co responsible for drivers going 100mph?
bfph...Yes, they have obscene amounts of revenue and cash, and should use a reasonable amount of it to keep their platforms free of scams. But, because of Wall Street, and the expectation around growth of profit/margins, they will never self-police themselves. Regulation and accountability is required.
ykbo...The platforms take money form the the scammers. it is THEIR responsibility to vet them
gnku...Support scams? Are you stupid?
mark...Bloodsuckers.
drda...Yes I was charge 50 via Meta No authorization then they closed my Facebook account I couldn’t talk to anyone at meta/Facebook My bank had to take the charge
jame...Just like those who facilitate any illegal activity - consequences should apply.
mary...The Internet has become a foo’s paradise and Zuckerberg is the park ranger.
jim....Difficult to trust anything you see on a screen anymore. Buyer beware
robs...If you can accept their ad revenue, you can protect your users by conducting due diligence on your revenue generators. Increase your ad rates to pay for it so that the credit card companies and users aren't stuck holding the bag because you didn't conduct sufficient due diligence.

Do you trust AI to solve complex mathematical problems better than human mathematicians?

  • 76% Yes, AI has the potential to outperform humans.
  • 24% No, human insight and creativity are irreplaceable.

EmailComments
sara...This is the type of thing AI can do best - assist in solving technical problems, computing risk scenarios and other analytical tasks. It should be restricted to these useful functions but NEVER used to determine choices that require a fully human grasp of nuance, human values and needs.
robs...Not sure we can trust humans to provide AI exactly what it needs to outperform humans.
jllm...That’s what I’m afraid of
zack...AI will outperform humans
cica...Possibly
tlor...I don’t trust Google to responsibly manage the outcome(s)
btaw...It’s math, so yes.

What is your age group?

  • 55% 65 and older
  • 27% 50-64
  • 16% 30-49
  • 2% Under 30

gcar...Anything is good. This should be given at an even earlier age. I was diagnosed at 42, but definitely had it way before. More younger people are getting this. It needs to be earlier.
rael...80 years old.

pmat...I lost my dad almost 2 years ago. It’s the god awful worst feeling in my entire life. I have so much to be grateful for today, but he was my best friend, my hero and my role model —someone I could tell anything. And he’s gone. I’m hoping he’s at peace. I had him for a very long time. He was 97. But he was the true love of my life, caring for six children and another three step-children. My mom left when I was very young so he played both role — What you would need from a mom and a dad. I pray for all of you who have lost a loved one and wish you solace. I will never be the same person that I was with him in my life. I am trying, though. And I will continue to be the best version of myself knowing he’s beside me everyday in spirit.
nanc...I had it - truly thought it was a heart attack, but it lasted for days --- after the sudden death of my spouse.
caro...I experienced this firsthand after my husband passed away suddenly. I couldn’t stop crying and felt like my heart was breaking. Seven months later I went into Afib and Atrial Flutter.
robs...Your article clearly says it is based instead on age more than anything else. Is this AI produced with human questions?
