alex...Why shoot detainees if he was anti ICE?
miah...The Left is Lost. Their language reflects it. Their inability to unite reflects it.
akyg...Not surprised. ICE is doing very bad things at the direction of the president. I wish there was a peaceful way to stop ICE. And why do we have concentration camps in this country.
spro...Regardless of ideological beliefs, its the responsibility of those in power to calm the rhetoric and de-polarize, but that just doesn't seem to be a priority so we're kind of stuck in this very dangerous hamster wheel.
nick...Tensions are extremely high- largely fed by the current administration. When people are fed propaganda stories or mistruths that villainize others, there will eventually be those who see no other way than to react violently.
nord...Polititions need to STOP this fighting and hate messages being sent to the public. Start giving and taking on the floor in Washington and at state level! Stop the We are Ruggt, They are all Wrong. Both aides
katl...Trump is responsible for the hate speech just like in the 1/6 insurrection.
spro...Keep spewing hate and blaming the guns leftists!
vvel...The previous administration was much worst!
dave...It was only a matter of time. The harsh and cruel realities of this administration’s policies has lead to such unrest. I’m afraid the worst is yet to come.
doct...The administration is stoking hate and violence so that they can declare martial law and further deploy the military to crack down and justify creating a dictatorship while stopping elections. Americans may be starting to wake up; finally. I expect much more violence and frankly wouldn’t be surprised with an insurrection which would, of course, lead to Civil War. So pointless for the price of eggs…..makes me sick.
dian...When our government initiates violence, it becomes acceptable behavior for others.
dnde...The left has become unhinged and because they believe they have some imaginary moral superiority, they are able to justify their assassinations
what...And the President isn’t helping, and only adding fuel to the fire.
iris...Israel is a terrorist state. Defund Israel
loui...Stop the "dictator, Nazi, authoritarian," rhetoric. Open debate is needed.
jose...Trump has unleashed violence to everyone, not just politicians.
stab...Political violence is a mischaracterization of many of the shootings which are just violent acts by young men who act on violence with encouragement from their internet life.
csbr...The energy you put out there will always come back to you magnified.
jeff...Trump is the main instigator!!! Also the rest of his Cabinet!!
nanc...Unfortunately, you reap what you sow. Lack of gun control, harmful rhetoric, decreasing safety net (including mental health care) and a deeply divided society perpetuated by this administration all contribute.
fnpn...I noticed how you conveniently did not mention what ideology was on the casings of the bullets.
bden...I believe that Trump is responsible for the increased violent events in the country, especially those involving guns, and cannot believe that he refuses to accept any criticism without angrily accusing the critic of being the instigator!
jeb....It is not both sides. The right proved we are not violent by having the worst happen with Kirks murder and Trumps assassination attempt and there was no violence.
rhon...Free Speech is being threatened by a group of people that have turned rabid against anyone who doesn't agree with them on every issue.
patc...An unnerving percentage of politicians have taken note of Trump’s effective use of ‘tough talk’ li. ,,,mmmEvery population has a small percentage of mentally ill people that can be provoked to violence.
pjmc...I'm very concerned about further violence in this poison political atmosphere, and also wonder whether we can believe any of the investigations into the motives and perpetrators. I believe that Trump loyalists in every department of our country will continue putting "clues right on the bullets" while they stoke fear of the left and try to incite a civil war......then putting us all under Marshall Law and cancelling elections.
arth...It’s not politically correct, of course, but I keep my gun handy!
mdul...Unfortunately, the tone set by Trump in providing the most funding of any law enforcement organization in the world and then pressing to ensure they are not subject to any oversight leads to the citizenry revolting. If any, say, municipal police force were to mask their agents and then send them out to seize people off the streets without probable cause, warrants, or due process, the residents would be up in arms and, eventually, leaning towards violence when their calls for adhering to the law fell on deaf ears. ICE, after having seized who they like, then transport them all over the country and eventually to places unknown leading to further fears of the tremendous power they've been given without oversight. The politically motivated attacks are wrong but are likely to escalate in my view. Trump even normalized J6, for goodness sake.
19pi...Very concerning when the leaders of our country are fueling these attacks. Plotting us against one another for their own agenda. Instead us as a country.
pete...With a President who promotes both hatred and vilolence, it's almost inevitable that politically motivated attacks will only increase.
kold...My main concern is that when extremists kill haters, Trump and Vance claim that they are democrats. Trump and the Russians want our country divided and fighting a civil war. I think in two years we will see MAGAs openly killing democrats.
nmik...The leftist hate and violence will get worse propagated by left media, and ideological kids, mentally ill including the sexually dysfunctional , and colleges.
jame...The media and social media have to stop glorifying this The mentally unstable run with that hype and perpetrate these acts
meri...Violence begets violence and this administration is purposefully stoking the flames. There will be no change with this administration it may take decades to end the progression.
jame...I don’t believe this administration is good for our country.
rose...Concerned for all.
tmj6...From both the extreme right and the extreme left
pjpa...Common denominators: radicalized liberal & antidepressants aficionados
chri...Politicians are driving bigger wedges between citizens for personal gain, the whole process accelerated by algorithmic boosting on social media to drive ad sales. This is how civil wars begin.

How concerned are you about the potential instability of the federal workforce due to the shutdown?

  • 50% Very concerned
  • 39% Not very concerned
  • 11% Unsure

crai...Critical services are not impacted by a shutdown. It is an abuse of power to use the threat of shutdown to get special interest funding.
arth...This has gotten to be annual, political, Kabuki theater by the minority party. Go ahead, shut it down just once for at least a month. Ninety days would be better. Let’s see if the sky falls!!
hine...It all depends on which agencies have to make the cuts. Many non-essential departments are over staffed.
spro...Two things will happen - (1) a band-aid like usual that kicks the can down the line or (2) some actual reduction of waste to comply with budget realities. Either way, its not like everyday life is going to come to a halt...politicians are too self-serving for that to happen.
snee...Does this mean that our senators and representatives will not get paid? Then good.
mdul...Trump had already claimed that the government needed to be dramatically reduced and attempted to do so through the DOGE construct. He eventually has had to rehire most of the people let go. The legislative branch is supposed to be the holder of the purse strings and the check & balance on the executive branch. With the executive having tried to amass all power into the POTUS role and wholly disregarding the Congress with congressional agreement to be neutered, I think this is a fine example of Congress perhaps finally trying to do something that is supposed to be their role.
tere...The R’s control all branches of the federal government. They have effectively destroyed minority rights in Congress. They will amend their procedures to pass whatever laws they want. The ballot box is the answer.
pete...Tragically, the federal workforce has been derided by the Trump administration and not enough members of the public know or understand the importance and value of what they do.
nanc...The federal workforce has been in a terrible state for several months now and I feel for them. However, under no circumstances should the Dem’s back down. It certainly didn’t help the last time they rubber stamped the last stopgap measure and here we are again. Why don’t they actually do their job and come up with a plan to fund the government rather than this continued kicking the can’.
bria...Due to Democrat intransigence
fnpn...This happens every year folks. This is all political stage.
spro...Calling out federal employees “workers” is a stretch. Go get a job in the private sector where we don’t have to pay your salary.
pjpa...Congress needs to have the paychecks stopped during shutdowns w/ no recovery of lost wages including healthcare
trim...This administration’s haphazard and poorly thought out actions have led to this situation. No real strategy was used.
akyg...The Blue and Red divide is ruining our Country.
meri...The administrations game plan it to fire many more employees and possibly shut down departments like NOAA during the shutdown.
brya...Government needs to cut more fat from its agencies, bureaus, departments, etc etc.

Do you think the public's concern over air quality is justified? -

nmik...Having flown Delta for years I’ve never detected nor have been harmed by fumes
snee...Don’t take us back to the 1960’s and it’s putrid air.
debd...I just had the same issue on an American flight. The passenger area started filling up with fumes as we were sitting on the tarmac.
chri...Airplanes are a controlled environment. If panic sets in you lose control. That is bad and people panic if they can't breathe.
nanc...I’ll choose Delta over the other airlines in the future!
dave...What possible reasoning could be used to justify paying passengers to endure toxic and unhealthy air quality

Do you believe that regulatory laws like the DMA ultimately benefit consumers?

akyg...I like Apple’s security. It is the main reason I have Apple devices.
dave...Cooperations are always looking to benefit themselves and their bottom line.
hans...Of course is it does. Apple doesn’t care about consumers, it only cares about its shareholder value.
robs...I believe that most regulators are clueless about technology.
brad...Apple's arguments are pathetic attempts to continue its monopoly in its ecosystem. There's no actual truth to them.
nanc...it would not let me click no! fyi

newb...This is just the worst disease and is inherited. This promises much longer active life. But the cost will need to be addressed.
