Yet, Trump said DC was crime free and used that as justification to deploy troops to more American cities (interestingly, only to Democratic-controlled cities even when crime stats would suggest Republican cities should also be targeted if the goal was actually to prioritize high crime cities). So, no change in crime stats, dramatic costs in deploying troops within the country, heightened tensions with the populace, and now a consideration to expand further his racist immigration selectivity.
