grif...This goes against Ukraine so entry from an invading country, and the US has no business negotiating without Zelenskyy. This is a travesty for an innocent country by a brutal invaders
rita...Initial so-called Trumper plan was really a “Putin plan” - giving Russia virtually everything Putin wanted. Disgusting to even call it a plan.
rhp7...Trump is selling out Ukraine to get financial advantage for himself and others in his circle, especially Witkoff
nanc...It’s obvious who’s been favored in this latest round of talks. trump got incentivized to renew talks when the corruption scandal broke in Ukraine. Predator that he is, he figured Zelensky would have no choice but to agree to the outrageous terms.
anne...Russia. Always. Total provacators of this war.
cica...Specifically , Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. These negotiations are a joke. Trump and all the Republican lawmakers behind him, which is virtually all of them. Are basically handing Ukraine to Russia. This is appeasement at its worst. I don’t think Neville Chamberlain was this bad.
lkdn...Putin has some hook on Trump. Was it something immoral? Did Trump agree to some industrial or building plans. Does the Trump organization have deep roots in Russia. Did Putin pay the Trump organization or hep him win the presidency? Whatever it is the Trump administration seems to favor Putin. It is time the administration realize that Putin is going to continue to bomb Ukraine until there is no infrastructure left and the people give up. If this were a NATO country would the administration also reneg on our pledge of support? The only thing Putin understands is strength. We need more sanctions, secondary sanctions hard lines, and supplying Ukraine with more weapons, on the ground advisors, blocking Russian ports, stopping exports of oil and as much information available.
myla...We know America does not care about Ukraine. It’s embarrassing to be Russia’s b**ch
darc...Putin has extremely incriminating info on Trump and Trump knows it. While direct blackmail may not be occurring, Trump’s favorable bias toward Putin and Russia is unequivocally clear. Putin knows it and is completely enabled until a new US leader or other events neither leader can control compels Russia to dramatically compromise and sue for peace.
usct...The original plan gave Putin everything he wants. Allowing Russia to retain any Ukrainian territory rewards aggression. Just bring Ukraine into NATO.
rolk...U.S. leadership has no backbone
sbaa...Proven past history Putin lies
guyt...Apparently, the folks involved in these talks have learnt nothing from the History preceding WW II. As we all know, Chambelain, the Brit, and Daladier the Froggy, were prepared to give in to Hitler to avoid a major confrontation with the Nazi regime. We all know whar happened afterwards..
jdka...Absolutely absurd.
bria...Russia should keep land, no NATO, no peacekeeping. THis is NATO and USA fault back to Obozo regime change. Needs to end
jose...Terrible plan for Ukraine.
dcoh...It is everything Putin wants, none of what Ukraine wants.
sopa...It's not a matter of territory. The russian nation live in that regions for centuries. They will not expelled from there.
ronp...If they use the trump plan Russia would benefit greatly so why would Ukraine make a deal that would benefit Russia. They are the aggressor not Ukraine. Russia is just a bully
comf...Russia isn't serious about finding a peace plan. Putin is just stringing the US along while continuing to destroy the country he attacked almost four years ago. He has killed thousands of innocent civilians, including so many children, and has created a traumatized generation.
kvas...Which one wants to kiss the other's ass? Trump is pathetic in his puppy love for Putin. In a head-to-head, Putin will beat Trump every time.
pfor...It's amateur hour with the US envoys. And that orange Donnie wants putin to win so he gets richer. What a leader...
djti...Russia will eventually agree to a deal that allows it to keep some Ukrainian territory. Putin will claim victory and since he controls the Russian press, who will object? Gaining a few hundred square miles of territory will have cost the lives of as many as 250,000 soldiers, WW1-level carnage. Ukraine's losses aren't that high, but even one is too high. What's the alternative to a peace deal like this? Countless more casualties on both sides. Maybe Ukraine weakens to the point where Putin puts all his chips in on one decisive strike on Kyiv. If he succeeds, he gets most, if not all, of the country. Will he then move on to new targets, like the Baltic states? That gets NATO directly involved, which means US troops on the front lines. What if Ukraine breaks through and appears on the verge of routing the Russians? Does Putin use nuclear weapons, even smaller tactical warheads, to stave off defeat? A peace deal now seems to be the only way to avoid all of that. Sooner of later, Putin will die or be overthrown. Then the new Russian leadership might be more pragmatic.
mrse...Putin had no incentive to stop the war. The US must show firm resolve on both the military and economic front to make it so painful for Russia that Putin will eventually want peace. Unfortunately Trump has not shown that resolve so the war will grind on.
mdul...I'm shocked that even 4.8% of people (as of now) said Ukraine got more favorable conditions. The 28 point peace plan was a Russian list provided to Trump and his team. Putin has just said that any deviation from his plan (now attributed to Trump) is unacceptable. Ukraine gets precisely nothing from this plan.
ccha...They committed war crimes over and over and yet Trump wants to reward them with Ukraines land in a war they started? How is this right or just?
miss...Unfortunately a deal favoring Russia is inevitable. Without years of additional warfare and nearly unlimited support and eventually troops, Russia will win the war in Ukraine. The Europeans are too feckless and stupid to run their own countries much less field an army in Ukraine. Eventually they will abandon Ukraine to its fate. Putin knows this and will simply wait them out. Putin also believes that there is zero chance that the US will put troops in Ukraine and can rely on democrats to obstruct any progress by a republican administration to stop the war. Why make peace when you are winning?
chri...Peace and stability only come from justice. There’s no justice in normalizing acceptance of an aggressor who violated international law, treaty obligations and human rights. There’s no justice in twisting the victim’s arm to capitulate. No justice can emerge without strength of the more righteous party. Support Ukraine and stop encouraging the enemy.
susa...The United States appears incapable of knowing how to create pressure for a deal; Putin has been coddled and sees no incentive to settle. Trump will not use the leverage he has, thereby, destabilizing our world, making the Ukrainians suffer more and showing the U.S. as weak.
rola...Putin will only agree to peace when he can claim victory OR when the pressure on him is too much to bear...Good on the Trump administration to keep on trying!
doct...This is about personal wealth accumulation. Disgusting and illegal. But what else is new
lora...Both parties are losers of this war. Ukraine could not get organized after it obtained its independence in 1989 due to corruption. Putin saw the opportunity to get Ukraine back but did not understand the Ukrainian people did not want Russian Rule especially under Putin. Trump is trying to stop the killing on both sides which is the fault of both Putin and Zelensky. Instead of critisizing Trump, people should support him since he is doing the human thing. Biden and Obama did nothing but sit on their hands while people are getting killed.
duph...Putin holds secrets about Trump.
tama...Criminals representing a criminal regime negotiating with another criminal regime to make money from criminality and sacrificing the victim. Surreal is not too strong a word.
beck...There is not enough information to answer this question. Russian invaded and they can’t be trusted-ever but Ukraine is losing so many people. Russia doesn’t care how many of their people die ( sorry to say). He just wants land and power. Ukraine needs to make a deal and get this done. He is dealing with a madman!
fcse...Russia invaded Ukraine’s territory and wants to keep parts of Ukraine. If that is allowed to happen the Russian Bear will claw back other territories, like the Balkan states and parts of Finland. Putin only understands power. I wrote before: every NATO country should simultaneously fire ballistic missles into Russia and then talk again.
jvh....Witkoff views these discussion with Russia as a business opportunity - Trump vacillates. Does he see Russia as an ally against China. -- Sorry, The Chinese got there first or is the idea of all that money to be made? Only the shadow knows.
cger...Putin is evil. No doubt about it. He seems to enjoy the Killings as much as Stalin, Mao, and other evil dictators that came before him. Ukraine is NOT going to win this war, they are just not powerful enough. To stop the killing, Putin needs to be appeased and reigned in. This peace plan is attempting to do so, it is much better than what the Biden administration had, which was NOTHING!!!!! (Putin would not even take his calls)
loui...Sad that there is even talk about rewarding the aggressor !!!
tous...Sad to see the honorable Kushner involved in pushing Ukraine into captivity and forgetting horrific Russian crimes. I was impressed by his leadership in the Abraham Accords. But this is a BLACK stain on his legacy. He had some moral authority before. No longer.
pros...WHAT A GLORIOUS WASTE OF TIME AND RESOURCES! It's obvious, Russia's objective in this war is to kill all the Ukrainians and occupy all the Ukraine. Stop pretending you can influence Putin.
kfmc...Trump being played for a fool by Putin.
katl...So tired of Trump and Putin’s corruption. EU and those interested in actuallyending the war should send Russia home for good. Sanction the hell out of Russia and give all of their frozen assets to Ukraine.
andy...Trump is Putin a puppet. And the world knows it
kari...Bully’s helping bullys
karl...Russia has Trump on their side, with Russia preparing for war with Europe.
mcle...Grab a brain; Russia was the f’ing aggressor!
pjpa...Doesn’t seem Russia & Ukraine want to end the deaths & NATO will need to make a decision soon bc the US needs to move on & concentrate resources more pressing matters for the US
kirs...It is despicable and completely wrong. My heart goes to Ukraine and I am very disturbed and embarrassed….this is the US????
pion...Trump is eating out of Putin's dog bowl.
rita...Blatant aggression trying to find legitimization
atli...Russia's prewar negotiable proposal was reasonable and should have been accepted as a way to avoid the thousands of unnecessary deaths. Even Ukraine was willing to talk at that point. But the American way is to kill.
bern...TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN ASSET. HIS SON IN LAW AND WITKOFF ALL BENEFIT INVESTMENTS IN RUSSIAN FOR THEMSELVES AND TRUMP FAMILY! SELLING OUT AMERICA! TRAITORS!
daku...i
upto...It's the Russian plan. They keep all they took, neuter the Ukraine, and use freed funds to rebuild the Russian controlled areas (to include Crimea and that bridge). Nothing good for the Ukraine.
aunt...Putin expects the deal Manafort made with him in 2016
chch...None one
hsto...EU should admit Ukraine to NATO and help them push Russia out of Sovereign Ukraine . Lack of US support of Ukraine for the past 5 years makes the US no better than Russia. I wonder what take the US is bargaining for behind closed doors without EU and Ukraine in the room.
bjef...Uh, because Trump loves Putin and wants his type of control?

Given the close margin in a traditionally safe district, do you think voter priorities are shifting significantly?

spr....We’ve drifted too far from democracy!
rhp7...People are realizing that Republicans are lying about everything and not doing what’s right for the American people
kvas...I absolutely hope so, but I've lived long enough to know better than to get too optimistic about it. There is no explaining how Comb-Over Boy's minions will stick with him no matter how low he goes or how much it actually hurts them personally.
pion..."Close margin"? Nine points is not close. In today's political maelstrom, that's a landslide.
doct...Rural voters are always out to lunch. No group more universally screws themselves
tmah...The voters were always concerned about affordability and Trump ran on the platform that he was the guy to fix it but he failed. I don’t think the voters changed, they are just realizing that Trump/GOP haven’t delivered
jvh....Depends on profile of actual voters. Who voted and who stayed home.
pjpa...Close??? 9 pts is a commanding victory given Democrats threw MILLIONS at the race in a trending purple state 🤦‍♂️🙌
ebr....Yes, and we're glad to see it—no more Trump.
bjef...The dedicated central base isn't shifting. How much of a beating they are willing to endure is unknown.
cger...It's scary how much this country hating Progressive Leftist came to winning the election. Progressive Leftist indoctrination towards socialism has paid off leading us ever more closer to chaos and anarchy. Please Lord, don't let Democrats win and destroy America.
mrse...MAGA is in trouble!
cele...Republican voters are beginning to realize they've been lied to about everything they care about... they've been duped and conned
rita...Many are/will be personally affected which changes people.
nmik...Most people, adults , see the craziness the Dems support
cica...In deep red Magastan nothing is going to change. As long as Trump‘s alive, they’ll be voting for Trump or one of his handpicked protégé’s. In blue and purple areas it’s always going to be competitive. The people that make up those populations tend to away all kinds of issues when voting. Unfortunately as a person in one of those areas, I think we’re way overthinking some of it. Trump and MAGA need to go. They’re destroying everything about this country. That’s made us who we are.
anne...People are stupidly fickle. They just flop back and forth. God help us all.
kelt...It was not a close margin, it was a blowout. Thank god that whacko she he did not win
chri...Trump broke promises. GOP's message is weak. Elections are now for Dems to lose.
bfph...The only thing that matters for the big mid-terms next year is how the economy is doing at the time. We’re less than one year into Trump’s term and changes in policy take time. If 2027 shows improvement, as expected, the GOP will be in the mix in key mid terms.
brad...Definitely a liberal issued poll. Exclude me from further “news”.
nanc...They’re idiots to think this administration has their best interest in mind. But so many were idiots to elect tRump to begin with.
tdhu...No, priorities are the same as in Fall of 2024 - affordability issues. Support went from Dems to GOP last Fall because of affordability. Support now switches from GOP to Dem due to affordability problems. Party in power loses when cost of living is a problem for the majority of voters.
avaa...We need every state to push out the authoritarian regime and get our lives back
mdul...I think it would be a clueless GOP to not be taking all of this data seriously. Democrats won every election and voter question leading up to yesterday and then the TN result shows another double digit drop from Republican support to Democratic support. Although I have long argued that the routine gerrymandering has made 90% of congressional seats safe for either party, the GOP is right to be concerned that there may be a blue wave forming for next year.
bhad..."Its the economy stupid"
lora...I think the media is corrupt and publishes false polls. If people still support the corrupt Democrats then they will suffer the consequences. Just think of the money that has been lost to medicare, medicaid, illegal immigration, defunding the police and the only solution the democrats can come up with is to increase taxes and subsidize the insurance and pharma companies who fund their campaigns.
bake...The reasons given aren't true. Democrats only vote for D and sadly they outnumber
pete...Most voters are getting no benefits whatsoeverfrom the current Administration but are facing greater economic issues and that's understandably their key issue.
bbel...It has always been about the economy. People vote based on their pocketbook, not trans issues or immigration.
chri...Where is the tsunami of rage against this terrible President that should exist if American’s were wise, sensible, informed and patriotic???? Dems and independents and the few decent, honest republicans need to get madder and more determined.
clai...Voters priorities remain the same, but they don’t like the way the Gov/GOP majority addresses them. And the Dems are less tone deaf to voter priorities than in 2024

Should immigration applications from countries linked to security concerns be paused until comprehensive vetting is completed?

jvh....The Bureaucracy has to be capable of meeting demand. At present that is not the case.
chri...Maybe comprehensive immigration overhaul should fix things instead of ineffective knee-jerk reactions aimed at PR outcomes.
marg...It used to be an honor and privilege to come to the US. It was painful to see people pouring in with no control.
cger...The Progressive Leftist Biden Administration opened our Borders to MILLIONS of unvetted illegal aliens. If on average 10% are ill willed, that's 1.5M illegals who want to do us harm. Communist thrive on chaos and anarchy because they can control the sheeple who vote for them through fear. These attacks are a result.
doct...The evil administration is THE security concern
susa...It is impossible to trust ICE
milt...There is no need for review based on one man’s mentally ill and one immigrant’s violence. We have an indisputable moral obligation to afghans who supported our goals at great risk to themselves. If a few enter our county with deep mental wounds while fighting for our cause then it on us not only to offer care for their well being both for our population’s sake and the immigrate’s sake. If you are heartless for these people, I appeal to ourself interest as a county. We lose credibility when you use and discard nationals who fight for our side. Would any of us trust a country who did this?
cbvo...Most crime in this country is perpetrated by native born American citizens. Overwhelmingly immigrants are not criminals and although they may be poor they are less likely to commit criminal acts than Americans. Particularly in this case this Afghan man was vetted 3 times. For whatever reason he had mental health issues that caused him to do this horrible act. Vetting is necessary but we shouldn’t demonize immigrants. Most of us had immigrants in our family tree.
boba...Depends on the circumstances, the country and if individuals lives are in danger.
beck...Absolutely
jame...This is absolutely a common sense proposal when we have been overrun by immigrants from countries that hate the United States. We should be vetting immigration in the strongest way possible, particularly from Muslim countries where conflict is rampant. If people don't want to assimilate to the United States and embrace our values, then they should stay in their own countries.
rita...Theoretically I’m a ‘yes’ but I don’t trust the current administration’s ability or desire to do honest, unbiased vetting.
perm...You can have too much diversity, and without things that unify (language, one system of law, capitalistic culture of opportunity ) you have division and chaos. Why come to this country if your aim is to destroy that what you claim to desire?
upto...Are these valid, unfettered intelligence vetted concerns or a veneer?
kvas...Trump is Hitler. ICE is the Gestapo. Future historians will find our version of Ann Frank's diary written, this time, by an immigrant child sent back to be robbed, raped, tortured, and killed by the country they fled from. Who are the monsters in this scenario? The killing country or the people who sent them back to the killing country? I hope history judges this shameful American generation harshly.
beck...It’s about time ice and the Feds investigates the Somali fraudulent “immigration” into MN. and all the money they are receiving.
wlof...Not for SIV immigrants with green cards who are waiting their 5 years until citizenship can be applied for
bsmi...Depends on how long we draw out the process.
usct...This paints with too broad a brush. It is an excuse to pursue white nationalism. And if the Guard would have been at home with their families this would not have taken place. The shooter was vetted by Trump and given asylum by Trump. This blood is on Trump’s hands.
kelt...people need to be checked out. It's almost too late based on who Biden let in, but, hopefully, we can re-vette those who snuck in, otherwise these murders will continue and some may be a larger scale. Look at examples in Dearborn michigan where agents foiled a terrorist plot
mdul...It would be great to have all of these issues fit nicely into tidy boxes but that is not the reality of the complex world in which we live. Take the accused DC National Guard suspect for instance. He apparently was a trusted ally working closely with the CIA in Afghanistan and was vetted numerous times. With Trump announcing the precise date of withdrawal from Afghanistan, the actual withdrawal was a bloody mess. Those Afghans that worked closely with our military and intelligence forces would have been tortured and executed if we had left them behind. So, we brought him and many others back to the US where Trump then granted him and others asylum. Now, because one human being has done something horrific, we will apparently no longer be receptive to any people from bad places? As I said, if only the world were so easily black & white.
bjef...the answer is no because comprehensive vetting is clearly not the goal-no admission is the goal so vetting will be a joke, unless of course you're a narco trafficker or perhaps a member of Ebsteins inner circle with enough money to bribe a certain individual, then you get in or pardoned or whatever.
fppc...Only morons think that “immigrants “ from hostile countries shouldn’t be comprehensively vetted .
creo...Hell yes and don’t let anyone in
bern...TRUMP IS A RACIST PIG!
pete...It depends what is meant by "security concerns". I'm not aware that either Somalia or Afghanistan represent any particular security risk to the US.
lora...this needs to be done and Trump has the strength to get it done.
nmik...Most of these country’s immigrants to the US contribute nothing but just take steal and cause crime.
robf...Of course if all is managed better. This should be the case in any administration. This part of the underlying problem for the past two or three decades.
wald...My question though what is ‘ vetting’? Was it not applied before? I am an immigrant and I had to jump through loops. Including deeply personal interview questions while separated from my US Spouse to whom I have been married for 47 years. For years I had to report to the local U S post office about my status and whereabouts. I think the system broke itself
pion...The Federal government should be able to multitask. If Facebook can keep track of 3 billion people, DHS should be able to process 1.4 million applications and vet 1.7 million individuals who are already here. Unfortuately in this globalized economy, US tech giants are not interested in supporting national interests. They are, however, interested in lobbying for their selfish interests.
ebr....People are fleeing the chaos in their home countries. We should welcome these people as they eke out a new life and liberty in our safe country, America.
rhp7...Absurd reaction to an act by one person
comf...Borders and immigration need controls, which means developing a fair system, quotas, America’s own goals and needs. Open discussion and debate and new rule setting is the responsibility of Congress. Get busy please. Do your job, please. The approach of vilifying those searching for a better life is unAmerican. But controlling immigration and path to citizenship is a very crucial responsibility.
rgru...Yes so long as the security concerns are legitimate and not falsely conjured up by Donald Trump

How do you view the unanimous passage of the Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act in Congress?

kvas...It's just an act of provocation by a chicken shit bully.
kkir...Left to it's own devices, China would rule the world. Communist are like that. This is a check on their imperialism threat to the SE Asians.
bjef...Congress won't do anything on its own until Trump is out of office. Since he's so erratic, nothing good will come of this until he's gone.
pete...It's neither positive nor negative. The China/Taiwan situation is viewed pretty much the same way by both parties and, even if it wasn't, there was nothing in this bill to object to.
dlgr...The world doesn't need Pooh bear Xi to invade Taiwan like Rat faced lying Putin did with Ukraine. Scumbag dictators only respond to strength against them.
chri...Stand by your allies. But don't poke the bear...
arch...China is a bully, just like Russia, Iran and North Korea. The desire is to avoid conflict which risks lives and economies. Therefore, diplomacy is essential. However, the bottom line is that bully’s only respond to someone with a bigger stick, with which they can guide or strike.
rhp7...Taiwan is our ally and must be protected
bruc...Support for the democratic nation is important to show our allies our values. It is also crucial to maintain safe supply chain of the semiconductor and other tech components.

Would you feel comfortable receiving a cancer vaccine before any signs of cancer develop?

  • 66% Yes
  • 20% Depends
  • 15% No

EmailComments
reri...Especially if diagnosed as terminal
eric...I would want to know more about potential risks and side effects first.
cand...I might be interested but I would like further testing to find out side effects. I believe long term effects should be determined before making this a mainstay vaccine. Would the effects of the vaccine outweigh the benefits? Are there side effects that are worse than the cancers?
bjef...Uh, yes. Once the cancer has started and destroyed something, even beating the cancer doesn't mean you'll get that lost function back. Far better to stop it before it starts, but hey, it's a vaccine. RFK, Jr. will never let that out. Probably could lead to stupid old cabinet member syndrome or something equally absurd (the stupid old cabinet member isn't a syndrome, it's actually a finding in medical terms because it is readily observed throughout Trumps cabinet, most prominently in the form of RFK, Jr.)
dora...Just as long as clinical trials( speed up the process) are done within strict guidelines- also if genetic Predisposition that could be a factor- don’t trust FDA after Covid so much
rhp7...Would need to see extensive studies
mich...If I had a history of cancer, I would definitely consider it.
cger...I have become VERY skeptical of vaccines since the CDC and American Government lied and forced an experimental drug onto Americans endangering children, and young adults with Death.
lisa...It depends on how thoroughly and for how many years the vaccine has been tested.
jjai...I take other vaccines before the appearance of shingles, covid, influenza, etc, so why not take a vax to prevent cancer.
debo...As an example my family has a very low incidence if cancer. No cancer deaths except in some older than 90. But if there is high incidence I would embrace the vaccine opportunity. A data base should be kept of course.
doct...Mice studies frequently do not carryover into similar human outcomes. I really don’t think that mice studies should ever make the general media news. Mice studies are a beginning that, more often then not, goes no place. You need to do them as a first step. That’s all they are.
noze...Current lung cancer survivor would certainly take a vaccine to prevent further issues with the disease.
flem...Much, much more testing and research is required before this could be put into use for humans. Unfortunately, many studies are not being funded under the Trump administration. Is this one? What would the cost of the vaccine be? There are years of questions yet to be answered.
sdra...Moving trough a breakthrough in eliminating many cancers. This certainly is not the time to reduce funding for research
dmis...Yes, of course! Way to go, we're continuing to make progress on cancer research!
dlai...Lets remember during the Covid outbreak the new Covid vaccine killed some children.
pdrc...Premature results need more research funded by closing the department of war.
