cass... | The oppressor will continue its bloodlust |
ag3r... | Trump will do anything to otain the peace prize. Others will follow in his footsteps except when their true intentions take the fore front because their promises to him were only temporary appeasement. He kust does not get that they make a fool of him which is what he is. |
usct... | There are too many variables. Too many people to trust. |
knor... | I also do not trust those who brokered the agreement to not have their own financial interests prioritized over true peace. We shall see. |
caro... | Why would this time be different? |
ptpm... | Israel broke the previous deal and after they get their people back on this one they have no incentive to complete the deal. They want to eliminate Hamas, which is impossible, as more people are being recruited as a result of their families being killed. They also want Israel from the River to the Sea and maybe beyond - think southern Lebanon, the Golan Heights and the whole of the Jordan Valley. |
cica... | Netanyahu is a jerk. Hamas are murderers. |
ranm... | After thousands of years of conflict, suddenly we will sing koombiyo? Doubtful. |
rafs... | Who in their right mind would trust a terror organization like Hamas to keep their word? I'm not certain they any have full control over their so called soldiers cowering deep in the tunnels under the hospitals and schools in Gaza. I pray I'm wrong and peace comes to Gaza and the Middle East. |
link... | Hamas is untrustworthy |
creo... | Never trust anyone who says words will are can fix anything! |
bobb... | Simply can’t trust Israel and Netan-yahoo. They’ve killed 67,000 people! Unbelievable! |
walk... | History is not on the side of this, but hope is |
barr... | This peace framework smells of "peace treaty" scam brokered by Mr. Trump to bolster his chances of receiving a Nobel Peace Prize |
andr... | Mama's is scum |
jmla... | Genocide has no boundaries! |
wald... | Is there a side remaining?? Because one side certainly is not interested in peace, with the unquestionable goal to take over Gaza, WestBank and more |
mgil... | Hamas unlikely to surrender all arms as well as political control and Israel unlikely to surrender major governing role in Gaza |
ccka... | Until a two State agreement happens, the Palestinians will continue to resist apartheid. The Trump administration is delusional if it thinks that it will solve this crises. |
pete... | Once the hostages have been freed, Netanyahu will find excuses to renege on the deal, unless of course Trump continues to exert pressure on him. Unfortunately, Trump is currently putting pressure on the Nobel Committee to award him the Peace Prize this Friday. It seems unlikely he will get it which will likely reduce his willingness to continue to pressure Netanyahu |
atwa... | You’re reporting wrong numbers. 67,000 has been debunked. |
skra... | Laughable! |
mmre... | I feel hamas with not stop killing the jews |
luan... | I do not trust Hamas! |
jrv1... | I’m not cheering until the hostages are back on Israel soil. Hamas cannot be trusted based on past experience |
hbro... | Hamas can never be trusted. |
alfr... | There is no way I would ever trust Hamas they are liars, murderers, and rapist and baby killers. How can you trust scum like that? |
mart... | Can’t trust Palestinians because of desperation. |
lora... | Hamas is almost done so they will cooperate. there will be some bumps in the road to achieve peace but it will happen. |
aran... | If, as has been reported, Qatar intervened and convinced Trump it was not in his financial interest to continue giving Bibi free rein, it's a very very top-down achievement that's unlikely to change the hearts and minds of those who are fighting for their lives and ways of life. But I hope the ceasefire helps save some lives. If it saves even one, I'm grateful for it. |
cori... | Hamas are evil incarnate as are all “Palestinians” so celebrate the death of jews |
rich... | Hamas cannot be trusted. They are an international terrorist organization |
mary... | Of course Hamas cannot be trusted |
drgr... | Hamas and the Palestinians will never keep commitments. They’re hatred and evil will never be satiated. |
cger... | You and your Progressive Leftist readers are all about forever wars and terrorist prevailing over peace loving peoples. For the past 2 years since the horrendous terrorist invasion and murder of Israelis y'all have advocated for the terrorist on college campus and in print. I know it pains y'all to see peace in the middle east, but maybe an ice agent will get killed from all the lies and misinformation you spread and that will satisfy your blood letting for another day or so. |
klod... | Hamas cannot be trusted. |
beal... | Hamas will not keep his promise. He will rebuild and continue to attack Israel. This has been repeated over and over throughout many years. What should have happened is the rest of the world should have joined Israel and destroyed Hamas leaving everyone all over the world in a better safer place. |
barr... | If Hamas And Gaza residents are not disarmed this will mean nothing. I believe nothing until Hostages, if still alive are released. |
swjo... | Per the Koran, telling a lie is acceptable to eliminate the infidels |
jmor... | Hamas can't be trusted |
cece... | Hamas is a terror group I do not trust this group |
rola... | Israel has, with the backing of Trump, basically bombed Gaza into oblivion. They have killed thousands upon thousands of innocent children, women, men. They have left a massive number of orphans. The few Hamas that remain will leave...but the hatred Israel has created among the Palestinians will linger and simmer and at some point be turned into attacks on Israel. |
taly... | The Hamas terrorists can never be trusted. They have brought to the destruction of their own Palestinian people. Hopefully this is the start of a new era and Hamas becomes History. |
jald... | Hamas can’t be trusted. If it gets the hostages back then it will be worth it. Israel must destroy Hamas for good. |
tubi... | israel nor hamas isnt known for keeping their word. |
mich... | I trust one side, Israel, to implement the ceasefire terms in good faith. |
jgas... | too many liars at the table |
cand... | I don't trust both sides to honor this ceasefire but it must be tried. Hopefully, both sides will honor it and things can get a little better but I will be very skeptical. |
hine... | The reason why there is an agreement is the fear of the obvious that if the Palestinians didn't agree, that the rest of the Middle East would allow Gaza to be eliminated after seeing that the Israelis and the US have unfettered ability to do anything militarily in the area which was demonstrated in Iran. Peace by strength is the only way with radical terrorists and those that support them. No one wants killings and the waste of money used militarily but even more so, no one wants terrorists and people who won't play by the same rules as other developed countries do. If the Palestinians can't control their own radicals then others must control the and their will be a lot of collateral damage. This is no different than Washington DC Mayor and local officials not controlling crime and outside troups had to be sent in to eliminate the radicals to bring "peace" back to the area. You don't get to play the game if you won't play by the rules of the game. |
nina... | Israel is still slaughtering Palestinians and bombing. They never want peace. |
rmen... | iran is Hamas key funder and supporter & has not agreed to any ceasefire |
nanc... | I’m skeptical Netanyahu will abide by the rules. It’s political suicide for him. |
joll... | Israel does not act in good faith. Israel is a terrorist organization and needs to be delt with as such. War crimes need to be prosecuted. Next phase should be all of the illegal settlers out of the West Bank. Free Palestine!🇵🇸 |
kelt... | Your readers are mostly democrats and love war. |
fnpn... | Hamas needs to wiped off the face of earth. They have zero tolerance for any other religion other than their own. Islam is not a true religion by definition. It is an ideology that is similar to Hilter’s reign of terror. |
oneo... | They like to fight. They hate each other, it's a way of life to them. |
dave... | Hamas and The Palestinian's are duplicitous and do not want to co-exist with the Jews in Israel. They seek to destroy Israel and the Jews. |
itsm... | A cease-fire is obviously great if it happens, I don’t trust Hamas. |
miss... | Hamas will not act in good faith. Their entire belief system depends on a hatred of Israel and all things non Muslim. After 1400 years of fighting this is only diversion. They will regroup and fight again. |
rita... | Once the hostages are out, Netanyahu will finish leveling Gaza and reaping his vengeance for Oct 7’s attacks. |
jgra... | i think Israel will abide by its side as long as it doesn't get provoked. Trump wants that Nobel Peace prize and he is strong arming Netanyahu |
ritc... | Israel has not been trustworthy. |
sara... | And please - this is not due to Trump working out any details, but to the coordinated efforts by the Arab states. |
djti... | Without even reading the comments, I'll predict that most of them will say the Israelis will never abide by the terms of the deal. They are, after all, the bad guys, right? But maybe this time it'll stick. And there's only one guy on the planet who could've gotten this deal done, and he did. |
atli... | Israel cannot and should not be trusted but if a pause saves lives it is worth a try. |
How concerned should the US be about supply chain disruptions resulting from China’s rare earth export clampdown?
- 74% Very concerned
- 23% Somewhat concerned
- 3% Not concerned
Comments | |
---|---|
newm... | Don't trust China |
avaa... | Trump caused this concern and needs to fix it. Everyone should push back on his regime and let him know he's and idiot for what he's done and a corrupt incompetent person. Remember all of what he's doing is the 2025 playbook |
atli... | I wonder how this will play into the US lust for war with China. But what choice does China have in light of the current US economic war against them? |
cica... | The Republican Party has done more to weaken the United States and every category since the tea party showed up. They’re constant emphasis on lying, playing politics (unnecessary congressional investigations of their political opponents) and creating division on every single issue has set this country back decades. |
barr... | Nothing should be allowed to impactbnational security |
lora... | Trump will fix this issues. He is strong and understands the problem and will look after the US interests. |
dave... | US needs to create incentives for domestic mining to make up the short fall |
hine... | 61% is not 100%, and technology always responds when there is a large enough impetus to force it to do so. Other sources of rare minerals will be discovered and developed for the world's supply and other technological developments will open up the use of other known material supplies not currently in use in the "rare earth minerals" markets. |
tubi... | dumb donald the petty file is a deal breaker and they know it. |
caro... | How can we possibly be surprised by this? |
pete... | The US needs better rare earth infrastructure from minig to refining. |
jald... | Get away from buying rare earths from China. There are other places to buy these from not sure why we continue to buy these critical metals from the enemy. |
nico... | Ramping up of new rare earth discoveries and mines in the U.S. and other countries will abrogate this problem in the future. China, as an export market to the U.S. will start to decline. |
cger... | That is why Trump is doing everything in his power to expand mining here in America. If you own Deere or CAT stock, you see the results. |
nanc... | They got us right where they want us, thanks to our moron of a president. Let’s see, hamper the U.S. automakers, defense, and semiconductor industries, add to that the corn and soybeans that China is no longer buying from U.S. farmers. Then offer farmers billions of dollars to make up for their malfeasance. Unbelievable! |
Are unverified Russian accusations of “false flag” operations by Western countries most likely propaganda or plausible warnings?
- 70% Propaganda
- 22% Plausible warnings
- 8% Not sure
Comments | |
---|---|
jrv1... | Russia has always been the shit stain on the face of Europe throughout history. You can’t believe a word those people say. |
atli... | Because China is the only sane player in the destructive war between Russia and the US, a realignment in eastern Europe toward China is positive. |
walk... | I hope we are doing something |
jald... | Not sure why Europe has still been buying LNG from Russia. In what world would that ever make sense. They claim to be afraid of Russia and need protection from Russsia but support its war machine by buying from them. Please make it make sense. |
cger... | If the Russians learned anything from the Democrat party's false flag of "Russian Collusion" it is if you repeat a lie often enough it makes a huge impact. Bravo Democrats for proving a point on Propaganda. |
nanc... | Can you believe anything Putin says? He’s a rotten liar, just like tRump. |
lora... | Trump will get peace with Russia. The US will need Russia to maintain checks with China. Russia knows this. Russia is also afraid of China and knows it is a matter of time China will try to take Eastern Russia. |
Is the use of military force against drug cartel vessels near foreign shores a justified defense of U.S. national security?
- 51% No
- 43% Yes
- 6% Unsure
Comments | |
---|---|
cger... | Over 100,000 Americans a year are killed directly from drugs brought in by these cartels, and many more from gang related deaths and 51% of your readers just don't care. We have become a Progressive Leftist utopia of chaos and anarchy. |
nanc... | Arrest them and charge them, but don’t blow them up. One of those boats was from Columbia. |
joyo... | Not sure what proof they used to confirm the individuals were in fact transporting drugs. You want to stop drug smuggling but don't want innocent loss of life either. |
chiu... | Yes their drugs are killing our citizens! Shred them! |
swjo... | It is about time we stopped the drugs BEFORE they reach our shores |
milt... | Regardless, history tells us drug sources will simply shift to another part of the world. We’re just playing wack-a-mole and looking for headlines. We have to support users to stop using in the U.S. to really beat this thing. And that’s really hard, costly, will take years of commitment and will take cooperation between political parties. What do you think the chances are? We will be dealing with this problem for generations. |
avaa... | We should be taking care of the people in this country not going after something that will never go away even with this redicous force this regime needs to be dealt with or we are all in for a rude awakening |
agba... | Were they drug cartels or innocent civilians fishing? |
patr... | It’s murder. |
jose... | The question should be was there due process, like warnings, before the strikes. Not all boats are carrying drugs. |
hine... | It is the same concept used for other terrorism types which is to take the fight to the source and not wait until it arrives in our country, which is also nothing more than the same concept of "if you can't control your own business against illegal activities then others will control the problem for you". Venezuela can't openly say their country approves of drug production and illegal smuggling of them into other countries, so they need help stopping it. We aren't invading their country yet like we have done for non-narco terrorism in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and others, but if it continues to escalate the world should agree to do so to control the problem. |
arth... | The U. S. is the primary destination for illegal drugs. At least the drugs are intercepted at sea. They could be at risk for on-soil and manufacturing base attacks. |
kvas... | When you are a megalomaniacal control freak, "national security" is too facile an excuse for crowning yourself king of the world and justifying your belligerent behavior outside your own country. What? Declaring war on U.S. cities by sending armed troops to repress the local residents isn't enough bullying for Traitor Don? Republicans who are isolationists and don't want America to be the police force of the world must be wondering WTF Orange Boy is doing. But, then, inconsistency and hypocrisy has never been much of an obstacle for them. |
cica... | No. It’s a waste of military resources. It’s a police and Coast Guard matter. Besides, there’s no evidence from any of those strikes. The administration is trying to get us used to them murdering people at Will that they desire gone. Pretty soon it’ll be us. |
wynn... | Any action that reduces the flow of drugs should be supported |
tjor... | I need more information but am certain that acts or war or warlike activity taken by USA should be transparent and voted on by our elected officials and not reserved for a few goofballs. Checks and balances baby! |
walk... | Who can possibly justify allowing major illegal drug operations and their cost on society. Its about time we had someone to stand up to this highly organized crime. The illogical extent of Trump Derangement Syndrome is flabbergasting…. Not an endorsement of Trump personally, but his actions and policies are true to stabilizing the world…. |
aran... | It's very expensive theater. |
lora... | We need to stop these drug cartels. We also need to have stronger drug laws in the US. It is totally wrong that we allow the elites and movie stars and the rich to use drugs with no recourse. The law should be murder if you die from illegal drugs and not accidental suicide. |
Should anti-aging drugs like Rapalink-1 be developed before fully understanding their long-term effects in humans?
- 41% No
- 40% Yes
- 19% Depends
Comments | |
---|---|
cand... | I believe the drugs can be developed will still working on understanding their long-term effects in humans. These drugs may need to be tweaked during their development as more information about effects is discovered. Making them publicly available is another question and should be done with caution. |
hine... | Unfortunately the concept of "wait and see what the long term effects might be" is that more people die in the interim during the "long term study period". Waiting for 20 more years of rat testing and then trying to extrapolate that to the human genome isn't practical which forces a "must take some risk" to more quickly develop cures. No matter how much testing is done there will always be a small percentage of people that a good drug doesn't work for them. That's the genetic soup distribution curve. Nothing is 100% in nature. The risk at this point is trying to figure out the dosage for different individuals and not whether the drug works which has now been proven on the cellular level. |
cica... | You really need to understand what the long-term consequences are |
cger... | Just like Ponce de leon, GIVE US THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH |
If you had to prioritize only one lifestyle change to reduce cardiovascular risk, which would it be?
- 47% Diet and nutrition improvements
- 37% Increasing physical activity
- 16% Quitting smoking
Comments | |
---|---|
rita... | A tough question - I don’t smoke sSo quitting smoking isn’t relevant. But overall, I think quitting smoking is the most important factor followed by increased physical activity. |
jmla... | Smoking definitely causes heart disease, among other things. Diet would be no. 2 |
avaa... | Really all of the above |
kibb... | All three of these areas would be important to reduce risk stroke. By quitting smoking first one would be able to increase their physical activity more easily because breathing would be easier. Diet and nutrition should of course go along with the other two. |
hine... | I already quit smoking 20 years ago so the next obvious for me would be diet and nutrition. The problem is that there is no concensus on what nutritional "improvements" work for everyone, because everyone is different. |
cand... | All of these are important life style changes to be made for better health. Smoking would be the number one change but I don't think that affects the majority of people. I believe that we need to get back to more natural food choices and find better ways to get good nutrition. I believe our population is relying too much on over processed foods. |
