joel...Israel is going to do what ever they want to. Hamas is what ever they make it out to be. It is a real threat but the amount of civilians killed is preposterous, no accountability
joll...Israeli intentions are never to be trusted. How many “prisoners” will be exchanged for the “hostages” ? When an institutional occupation force takes political prisoners, often children, by force and without charges and is known to commit abuse and torture, the prisoners are in fact hostages! Let’s get the propaganda strait!
pmcg...The fact that the Arab state have signed on is significant.
scot...Muslims and Jews have been killing each other for a very long time. Those two groups have zero desire to stop annihilating each other. Even if it does go through they will start right back up after a short time… it’s who they are, what they are. It’s what makes up their dna. They are incapable of living peacefully, it’s simply not in them.
retc...Hamas will never let peace happen. They will strike again.
gsun...Take Trump out of the equation.
arth...As far as Hamas is concerned, only a few of the rats are left and they are scurrying. The real peace will come because Palistine realizes it is on the brink of destruction, it has suffered over 100,000 casualties and doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of defeating Israel. I will be loath to ever unless such destruction upon itself again.
cger...One can only hope for an ending. Of course you and your progressive leftist readers hope and support forever wars.
atli...An oversight committee lead by Trump is a recipe for disaster. This should be the UN.
tubi...satanyahoo has no intention of peace. israel isnt known for keeping its words as it is.
sayw...More pandering and war from the 2 authoritarians on the way.
jrv1...It’s the moment of truth for Hamas. Either approve or let Israel finish the job. If you voted no, I certainly hope you would condemn anyone who is empathetic or supports Hamas
pete...Any plan put together by Trump and Netanyahu will only invite mistrust. It rather sounds like simply a trap for Hamas.
drly...Israel must be held accountable for its war crimes. The US current administration must, as well.
timj...Trump is caught up in the Jewish lobby in US and again Israel finds a way to have the US support them in their war monger behavior
trin...Trump and Netanyahu lack the trust needed to reach a lasting agreement
marg...I think it has a chance for a very short time but not for long term survival
pine...Israel has never kept commitments to cease bombing.
gban...Why would Hamas agree to this?
acts...Netanyahu is on a power trip and lacks support from his neighbors at this point. Very sad.
walk...It is an opportunity for some type of peace for some period. I believe that both groups believe their God entitles them. This is likely to fester and boil over again and again.
lesl...Pres Trump wouldn’t know how to lead this
katz...I dont believe hamas will ever willingly give up control
jeff...Hamas has a part in this that Trump is apparently unaware of!
trag...A reluctant “no” at this time. The overall concept is good, but dealing with Hamas is like dealing with Trump on steroids. They are power hungry and unwilling to relinquish power and control unless there is something quite valuable in it for them.
gibl...If you believe it can or can’t, you’re right
dave...There are no "good guys" in the middle east. Not now and not ever. They are all hot heads and think God is compelling them to fight and kill.
sara...I voted what I hope!
kris...Poor Palestinians
csbr...Attempted genocide and killing of over 64000 people.
amay...Until Palestinians have their own state, the conflict will continue.
just...How do you know when a divorce is fair? Neither party is happy. How do you know when Gaza is settled fairly? Tony Blair as an administrator? Ok I guess? But Trump needs to humble himself and remove himself from it. He will get the credit he desires without being the stumbling block that stops it.
kevi...Peace is not achievable now with so many new Palestinian’s who will want vengeance for the slaughter of their loved ones
pana...Hamas will not agree to anything.
ksta...That area has been fighting for 1000's of years. Will they ever stop?"
rr59..."A civil, sane and good person must have faith and believe in relative Peace among men. This proposal may not be the last one to solve it, but it may be the effort needed to help it get over the hump to success"
bruc...Hamas is a terrorist entity and they need the hostages. Even one or two to keep the Israeli's at bay. What could Israel do? If the situation was reversed, hamas wouldn't care about hostages even their own. They don't care about their fellow palestinians, even the ones Israel will let go free from prison.
lisa...Just giving Israel everything.
jim....This poll is 29% “Yes” right now and that seems fine. The fact that nearly 1/3 think there’s a way forward is good to know. Keep On, you optimists and heroes!!
wald...Netanyahu is not interested in a resolution He will continue to prod for more conflict and has Trump and congress in his pockets
coch...Anything spearheaded by Trump will end in disaster
robs...The only thing the Palestinian Authority hates more than having authority is having responsibility for the welfare and safety of Palestinians. Instead, their sole mission is to fight Israel to the death, while young, ignorant liberals in the West march and protest for a “Free Palestine,” even though the Palestinians themselves elected the known terrorist organization, Hamas, to lead and govern the Palestinians. Not surprisingly, the Hamas led Palestinians then ignorantly started the current War with Israel on Oct. 7 by poking the Bear and taking a knife to a gun fight resulting in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians because Hamas is SO ignorant, brash and inept at governing the Palestinians, let alone fighting a war against Israel. The Palestinians have never been closer to achieving their life’s mission of fighting Israel to the death! Until either the Palestinians change their life mission OR until there are no more Palestinians, there will be no peace!
jmja...Interesting ... What is the "nay-sayers" suggesting?
john...On the "yes" side, I think the proposal sounds reasonable and addresses concerns that both sides have. On the "no" side, the positions on the anti-Israel side are so entrenched, especially by parties outside of Gaza, that those parties will never allow a peace deal to go through.
mcas...Even if Hamas agrees, as long as Netanyahu is in power, they will not leave Gaza, devastate it entirely so there is nowhere to live but tents, and thousands will still die until barely any Palestinians are left. They will manufacture or create conditions so dire that the West Bank will suffer a similar fate. Ironically a safe Israel is only possible with Palestinians free of Israeli control and in their own country, however geographically small. Israel and the West took Palestine to create Israel and this from the very beginning is why Israel has felt threatened.
gret...I believe that Hamas will reject this plan. Hamas has no interest in making peace with Israel. Its goal is the destruction of the State of Israel. Perhaps western countries like Australia, Canada and UK will finally wake up to this.
dick...Hamas is a death cult. They would rather die than give up their quest to annihilate Israel. They will keep coming back.
sher...Bibi will assure failure.
juju...Hamas wants the destruction of ISREAL.. I believe they won’t stop at anything less
barb...Neither Hamas or Netanyahu can be trusted to commit
lamb...Putting Trump in charge of a peace effort? That is insanity.
rtre...Hamas will not adhere to any agreement long term.
ned....It's all one-sided !
flop...Only enforcing international law will end the genocide and forced famine in Gaza.
crai...The Palestinians have rejected every peace proposal over the years including multiple 2 state proposals. Their charter includes the destruction of Israel. The Arab countries around them do not want them in their countries. I would like to see the plan be successful but the history of these people is not encouraging.
abue...By avoiding talks with the PA, the chance is slim
kvas...Warning to Palestinians! Do not agree to anything that puts the Idiot-in-Chief currently occupying the White House in any kind of control over your lives. You will regret it. Unless you want the Fool on the Hill to cut funding for your healthcare or for necessary food and medical supplies. You're already used to that, so maybe that doesn't matter to you. We're only just now having to live with Comb-Over King's ego over here, so it might take us longer to get used to it.
cica...Hamas is intractable they will not admit defeat even though they’ve been mauled for two years. Of course it’s the population they profess to protect that’s really been taking all of the pain and suffering. The Hamas fools just keep deleting themselves about martyrdom.
fran...Hamas will never agree to give up power
cind...Trump and Netanyahu cannot be trusted. What’s in it for them down the road? There’s always a catch, a scam, money in their pockets, a peace prize on Trump’s shelf. They’ve proved they care nothing about the people of Gaza. They see them as disposable vermin in their quest for the “Riviera Of The Middle East.
myro...Hamas doesn’t want peace with Israel. They would cease to have relevance.
coll...Palestine needs to be governing and policing their own. Israel will not stop homesteading!
sy_o...As long as you have a neighbor who has a ideology of hate and will not accept other peoples beliefs you can not have peace.
usct...I doubt that the Palestinians want to be a part of Trump’s grand vision for the Gaza Strip. Plus Netanyahu will find a way to sabotage the deal. And Hamas will not agree to be disarmed. But I could be wrong. Try it and stop the killing.
thom...Trump doesn’t care. He is merely seeking a Noble Peace Prize because Obama received one.
jame...Hamas will say no again

How would you best describe your political affiliation?

  • 45% Independent
  • 32% Democrat
  • 23% Republican

EmailComments
cger...Sorry.....I don't believe your readers are truthful with themselves. There are far more Progressive Leftist leaning Democrats than this poll reflects.
tomp...At this point, I am ashamed of both the major political parties. Their inability to compromise and legisalte reasonably is inane and insane. I cannot believe that they will once again punish the American people. They have legislated that they get paid but others in government service will be laid off, or ordered to go to work and not be paid. We need to chnge how this works. The first salaries and benefits to be cut should come from the House and Senate, no travel no allowances absolutely no money until they come to an agreement that keeps the government open. Of Course many of these people are millionaires and it won't hurt them as muc. Make them feel the pain of calling a lender and asking for a loan extension. Cut all travel funds for the House, Senate and the Whitehouse!
rons...So fed up with partisan politics!!!
ned....Wish we could end the Polarization. They forgot to serve the people !
psha...It appears to me that partisan politics has endangered the very ideals of American freedom by fostering a house divided.
gssc...Thinking like an independant is my mindset, but voting that way doesn't work.
widm...I have been a Democrat for decades. But Dems have allowed the extreme left to take over. Stupid positions on topics that do not represent the average/moderate liberal family -- no concern for everyday costs, rights, education, healthcare, etc. They have created a self-righteous, woke audience that has no common sense, and resulted in chasing moderates to the Republicans. They'd better wake up, or Republicans will take even more power.
mrse...I’m an old fashioned liberal, believing in giving a helping hand to those in need which ultimately benefits society and helps all of us. I believe in gun control, a woman’s right to choose, freedom from religion, and dialogue and compromise.
beck...There is absolutely no reason our leaders should let the government shut down. They need to do their jobs. I vote a big no to paying for healthcare for illegals! That is just not right. Take care of the people who plays by the law. People need to lose their jobs in congress and hopefully the people will tell them when they vote.
sayw...Neither party wants to do the will of the people.
cica...The Dems aren’t perfect, but they do believe in democracy, liberty, and freedom. The Republicans? Violence, aggression, suppression of freedom and authoritarianism. Democrats view politics as the art of compromise. Republicans view politics is the art of war. The Republican position is the most on American and the least productive for society as a whole
sy_o...Who ever seems to make sense and has gotten some good results
twee...Former democrat, need to see some leadership and backbone to the party to continue supporting.
rach...Republican government, Republican shutdown!
pems...Both parties are too extreme. Find the middle people.
sher...I am registered Republican but we really don’t have a Republican Party anymore so I have been more aligned with middle left. Independent is probably right.
ap3c...All the sources you cite are liberal, therefore, your content is biased and unfair
scot...Honestly does it even matter?! A two party system both working so hard to manipulate their version of the truth and the rest of us getting screwed while they push their party’s agenda… America is doomed with these two parties neither I treated in bringing all Americans together! They want the divide to grow, one side or the other!!
mcas...Trump and Co. have begun the govt shutdown since he took office. If there is a further shutdown, it’s part & parcel of this administration’s overall plan. Democrats should not vote YES for the current Repub short term plan to avoid a slow death and rather all vote NO (unless healthcare is restored) to show the American people now where the Trump admin is taking us. Then, perhaps even Independents and affected Repubs will finally join those of us who see the of 1933 Germany repeating itself, where in the span of less than 12 months dictatorship and the extermination of German citizens of Jewish decent was in full force.
fcse...I used to be a conservative and mostly voted Republican. Since Trump and the MAGA take-over of the Republican Party I have voted for Democrats. I still subscribe to National Review for a critical analysis of both parties.
csbr...Give Trump what he really wants and shut all down.
ther...The Republicans want illegal immigrants off of the healthcare plan, and that is all. Legal Americans would not lose anything. That is an important distinction that you conveniently misrepresented by intentional omission.
wilc...I have always been registered as N/P, but have typically voted Republican, the last two presidential elections I voted Democrat.
trag...I was an independent until 2016 and had no desire to identify with Republicans and doubted that I would ever vote Republican. I do believe in voting for the person, not the party but it is unlikely that my choice of person and platform will veer away from a Democrat

Was YouTube’s suspension of Trump’s channel after January 6 justified?

lkre...The mafia boss Trump is holding the media hostage.
sher...Everyone pays Trump off because they ALL know the system is rigged against them at this sad point in time.
marg...Another example of White House extortion !
davi...A compromised department of justice
jeff...Once again, a cowardly move to appease Trump.
atli...YouTube is one of the few companies to stand up against fascism.
pjpa...As suspected, 6 years later we find that the FBI had 274 plainclothes agents planted in the crowd confirming the Democrat's incited the crowd (our AZ buddy) in efforts to entrap US Citizen's exercising their constitutional rights
trin...Trump coordinated and directed an insurrection against his own government. He should have been banned from alll social media and barred from ever running for office
cica...Trump is a traitor. He staged a coup attempt on his own government. He’s an ignorant fool who will use any means necessary to get what he wants. Violence lies corruption. He exhibited all that behavior in spades. When will people learn?
nanc...Unbelievable that they caved to this disgusting leader of ours. All cowards.
tomd...Freedom of speech
ktma...There has to be in the fine print for YouTube their ability to suspend when the following activities occur ………like threats to government……. Only powerful lawyers can find the cracks in contracts that the average citizen would be complying with, with no settlements
nata...They should maintain the suspension bc this guy's posts are a continuous problem.
lmca...The insurrectionist belongs in prison.
trag...Trump was espousing misinformation, conspiracy theories and violent means to achieve his ends. YouTube is privately owned and it is their right to restrict certain kinds of content. The settlement is ridiculous, but who knows what contingencies lay on either side of the deal. What is outrageous is how Trump will spend 20 million on his ballroom that will have little benefit beyond his elite circles. It is unnecessary and disturbs the integrity of the White House structure. It has little, if any, benefit for the majority of US citizens. There are so many ways that the money could be spent to benefit citizens- improved access to food and housing and education for starters.
usct...It is hard to believe YouTube would give in like this. But it is one way to give money to Trump like all the other media outlets.
mrse...I don’t recall what he was posting on YouTube but if it was election denial and J6 support then he deserved it
ljro...This social media and the powers behind them had no right to do what they did
cger...I rest my case. Progressive Leftist were ALL in on silencing conservative speech. Pressured by the Biden Administration Both YAHOO and FACEBOOK would not allow ANY comments from conservatives. Even though it was DISNEY decision who took Kimmel off the air for lying they all blamed the Trump Administration.
walk...Absolutely not, the Left only believes in free speech and media as it advocates and advances their views. Its pathetic how intolerant the group of supposed inclusiveness is. All does mean all, Left and Right. Some common dignity and politeness from all would go a long way. Remember who invented the term “ deplorables” and basically got Trump elected…..
twin...He wants to squash anyone and anything that doesn't give him power, money and the ability to run his mouth! He needs to be impeached! The people that support him need to get their heads out of the sand!
spro...64% of you support censorship of our president? Clearly you do not understand the first amendment and are still buying the Jan 6 hoax, Russia Russia Russia, the lap top lies. How can you make conclusions without all the information from both sides?
andy...I mean that the government administration at the time was working with Tech companies to shut down stories or questions that went against their narrative was one reason. So free speech? There’s no question that certain narratives were promoted that helped the previous administration & those that questioned were blacklisted or at least not shown. And don’t even talk about the fact that Trump called Pelosi about bringing in the National Guard and she said no.
csbr...He encouraged treason, should have been given the appropriate consequences.
scot...Does the general public have all the “facts” probably not. We don’t get the facts we get the story about facts spun from which ever point of view that is paid on tv to tell us its version.

How effective do you think imposing tariffs on imports is in actually supporting U.S. manufacturers long-term?

  • 80% Ineffective
  • 20% Effective

EmailComments
davi...GDP growth3.8 proves tariffs work
mcas...There is not enough American suppliers of construction materials for at least the next 3-7 years, so despite Trump taking over the Federal Reserve once Powell leaves in Jan, new builds will cost more, all passed through Buyers and Renters who the majority of which already can’t afford to buy a home. This is just as these haphazardly applied or arbitrarily by whim have been passed to Americans who now pay more for groceries, autos, and other purchases. Soon 80-90% of the American population will not own anything.
brbc...Idiots in America if you think they are not working. Nothing changes overnight. The idea is to force more manufacturers to work in America. That takes time and then the positive results of the tariffs will come to fruition. My American made auto has a windshield from China. How wrong is that? Move from global to neighborhood trade is the answer.
doct...The goal is the destruction of the United States
tomd...We need to make ourselves completive in the global free market. Our government can help by revisiting the many labor and encornmental laws that are unnecessary/counterproductive and have been driving manufacturing out of the US for decades. Meanwhile, I am good with reciprocal tariffs in order to level the playing field, but that's it.
oneo...I am a small business owner. When I purchase out of country, they just add the tariff to the bill and I am the one paying for it. Not one of my suppliers have relocated to the US. This is a fail in my opinion. And every time some one does something the US doesn't like? Bang! Another tariff. I have trouble keeping up with all the changes.
beck...Trump is evening the playing field. We must be patient!
cica...Everything I’m reading indicates that the manufacturers are basically frozen. They’re in limbo. They can’t make a move cause they don’t know what’s coming next. So they just sit on their hands and window dress.
scot...The general public doesn’t know the ins and outs of tariff policy. How would we know the economics of tariff policy. The only thing we see is how much we have to pay to keep working and keep our heads down.
spro...You do not understand the furniture industry or what the globalists have done to it. Long term this will bring jobs back and it already has. Learn something about economy before you comment on global supply chains as there is clear and obvious damage by Asia. They are GUILTY of dumping products into America with their Government’s subsidies at prices below market value we can not compete with.
msyk...Of course in the short term there is going to be pain. Ever have a knee replacement?? Your readers have one solution for EVERYTHING.....HATE TRUMP!!!

If you were choosing a vitamin D supplement, would you prioritize:

  • 97% Effectiveness (typically more potent vitamin D3)
  • 3% Cost (typically cheaper vitamin D2)

EmailComments
joyo...Used every day for many years. Definitely helps with immune system. Always recommended to family and friends.
wbra...My M.D. recommends D3 as does my orthopedic oncologist. I take it daily.
mend...It’s also very important to take some K2 and magnesium with your vitamin D supplement in my opinion
trag...You get what you pay for. Not worth saving money to compromise on health benefits.
cger...Your progressive Leftist readers are all about themselves.
mcas...Sunlight in the am turns out to be better for us than the risks of cancers of the skin from sunlight. The mood enhancing effects, plus the D3 production from Sunlight in moderation without sunscreen for most outweighs any negatives.
