  • 35% No, one event shouldn’t shape policy

chri...Are enforcement issues considered immigration policy? Policy worked, enforcement did not work.
arch...As this example shows, you don’t need tougher laws….as long as you’re willing to enforce the ones you already have.
wrwa...If you have laws they should be enforced.
troy...This is not one event, this is happening at cities across Europe and the Western media won't cover it.
bruc...These people are permanently tribal and nothing can be done they only want what other people have and then when they can't get it well you see what happens
amuk...Legal immigration only! No other way to protect our country
sjsg...Not sure they need to be tougher, let’s start by enforcing the laws that are in place.
kevi...This question is to illicit fear. Shame on you.
noah...Why is his immigrant status the most important thing about him? Why not change laws around car rentals/ownership? Why not restrictions on male immigrants? Or just Afghanis? After the Las Vegas attack did they change laws for Christians?
char...If we do not have a vetting process, criminals and terrorists will enter. We need a diverse population in all countries, the USA was founded on that, and we have so many wonderful people from all over the world. And many more wanting to come here; we met many as we traveled to Europe, Asia and North Africa. You must leave your comfort zone and explore to see that good people are everywhere. I don't know where to put the bad people.
fabi...That was probably a propaganda act
just...Of course the bigger problem is religion in general, being an ancient human invention to help contain society. While for the most part, in modern society, it is a harmless excersize in futility, It is too often used as a tool for extremists to impose their will on others and use the "word of god" as the justifiication. Religion is easy fodder for both the extreme "right" and the violent Islamic terrorist.
alex...It's not one event. They do this constantly.
lora...All illegal immigrants should not be allowed to stay in a country. They need to go back to their own country. You can immigrate by following the country policies on the internet.
lkrt...Desperate people do desperate things. The one event shouldn't shape policy. That's very dangerous. Should the government enforce the policy already in place? Yes.
rgto...It hasn't been a single event - there have been several across the world.
tkno...Europe has been tortured from their liberal stance on immigration. Now the realization of their choices setting in. The US is feeling the repercussions as well. With a continued brainwashing in our colleges, the future is not looking any brighter.
lane...Enforce existing laws would make a huge impact. Not familiar with German immigration laws, but deportation not being enforced was the issue in this particular case.
ebr....It is not wise to base decisions on fear.
lpba...One event shouldn’t shape policy but illegal immigration should not be tolerated
helb...I am for expanded legal immigration. Most farm workers prefer to live in Mexico. They should have legal protections and easy obtained green cards. Most of the many recent undocumented eg those living in hotels in NY should be deported. I know that’s cruel but we have a housing crisis and many of our own citizens need help.
pete...Multiple event should shape a policy.
laur...If immigrants can't follow the law, boot them out!
pman...Im open to immigration. I am not a hard liner as one would put it - but every country needs to have control of their borders- the idea that anyone can enter and have all the privileges and rights without undertaking the time to do the process is ridiculous. The issue is the governments need to follow through. They typically lack the rules to engage after and remove this person. People need to wait - Unless it is dire situation.
erwi...I support immigrants and refugees who need asylum. However, using violence that end up killing and injuring people is an act of terrorism. It also does not help other immigrants and refugees. This is not the first time such a horrific attack has occurred in Germany. This type of violence needs to stop, which could mean deportation of undocumented and refugees that have been rejected asylum to be immediately deported.
jill...Gun controp is what is need in America!!!!
agra...This isn’t a policy issue, it’s an enforcement issue, which should follow existing policy.
rgar...All countries should prioritize protection of their borders. Imagration is a privilage not a right and should be accomplished within the standing laws. Imagration is a good thing when accomplished lawfully.
d3ra...Although the crazies may be few among true immigrants looking for a better opportunity, laws must stand and be followed by anyone seeking residency on to possible citizenship. By doing that the crazies may be kept out
bdca...This attack and the inevitably of future terrorism acts proves that immigration laws should be strictly adhered to and strongly modified based on knowlege of covert and overt intentions of the immigrant. . It is clear that many illegal immigrants come into other countries not to establish a better life for themselves and family but to disrupt sovereignty, infiltrate, and groom terrorism within that country. They come to honor the teachings of their country and culture . They come to spread hatred and ultimately kill the government of that county.
kari...The U.S. is a sovereign nation and we have the right to protect our people and borders from outsiders who want to bring harm to our people and our land. Immigration is not being threatened it's being controlled. To protect our people, mitigate the illegal importation of dangerous drugs like fentanyl it's crucial that we have control over immigrants coming into this country.

Do you believe TikTok poses a national security threat?

  • 75% Yes, it’s a risk due to Chinese ownership
  • 25% No, concerns are overblown

EmailComments
kevi...Anything other than no by anyone is due to propoganda. META is far more careless and predatory with data information, including selling it to foreign entities. If lawmakers were serious, this tightening od data security would be a broad sweep. But wait, congress can't purchase stocks in tiktok and tiktok isn't lobbying to eliminate its competition...
tubi...no a risk than americans have been dealing with, with american companies being hacked, or selling user lists as the business sells.
jdsh...Chinese government monitor all telecommunications using AI that have any link to the mainland. Probably more.
ebr....It's just silly—more distractions for the general public.
perm...However, if the US can obtain part ownership to negate the security concerns, the app is useful to many. I trust that President Trump will make the best decision for the USA and it’s citizens as a whole.
jjri...Tic Tok users’ devices have Chinese software installed that is capable of scanning details of every users’ activities. This is a real concern.
exmx...They will manipulate the minds of the young. Then in a generation or two they will take over the USA without firing a shot.
rgar...This app is a risk. It does have a useful purpose for mny people. Controlling its us by the CCP is a must for the safety of our country. Another out of the box positive idea by our President. Anyone who make a living using this app should thank him for his actions.
jopi...Too much,misinformation on it
over...And I think the 170 million “users” is overstated. I have the app on my phone, but rarely use it. Only when someone sends me something needing that app to open.
lkrt...I think this is true for any social media owned (or heavily influenced) by any government. Meta and X are just as dangerous, as they can, and are, being weaponized against the people by allowing intentionally false and misleading information (aka, propaganda).
amuk...It shud be banned. Bad decision for US citizens
let3...It's a power play and govt is using security risk as an excuse.
larr...Their stated objective is to use TikTok to undermine America's youth in morals, drugs and pornography and they support Chinese pedophiles in luring girls from ages 9 to 13 into sites that lead to rape and trafficking. TikTok with any Chinese association is da geroIs and it has been programmed to collect data, facial recognition, and financial information. If purchased, it's code would have to be re-written or abandoned. Since that is true, it should be blocked, the US Government should auction off the rights to develop a communication package.
cmic...Until they allow our social media companiesopen access to their consumers, we shouldn’t allow TikTok access to ours.
thep...I enjoy tic too very much. I do not think the US should buy it.

Which is impacting your budget the most right now?

  • 78% Food and energy prices
  • 22% Housing and rent costs

kfer...House is paid for. Insurance cost are crazy high with insurers’ excessive profits
mary...Albeit the public schools won another referendum this time for 90 million. So our property taxes will go up prob $800 or more per property. The schools take over 50% of our property tax. End Dept Ed!
mazz...BOTH options polling options provided are out of control!
kimb...$1.49 for an apple at the supermarket this week!
kevi...Its both. Is a bot writing these questions?
alec...These are not mutually exclusive. A lot of our food costs are going up because rents are going up. The nature of the real estate market is negatively affecting everything. Please report on that. Most folks are nearsighted and only care about gasoline and groceries.

Should Hamas be required to release all hostages before any permanent ceasefire is considered?

  • 85% Yes, no deals without full release
  • 15% No, a ceasefire should come first

EmailComments
vegi...No need to elaborate!
noah...Both sides have to follow the agreement, Israel has killed more than 100 people since the "ceasefire" started, but I guess Palestinian life means nothing
kpri...This was a war that Hamas started. They invaded Israel and took hostages. The idea that Israel should have to make a deal and negotiate in order to get their citizens back is ridiculous.
r.sc...Hamas started it and needs to end it returning hostages and bodies of deceased persons. Without an immediate return of all Israel should resume its attacks on Hamas fighters. The people of Gaza need to turn on the terrorists that started this war that has claimed 50000 innocent people.
kdat...The hostages are at extreme risk of dying before release as so many already have and other have shown up looking like holocaust survivors. No more waiting. Bring them home or risk all-out retaliation immediately.
amuk...No deal. Can you imagine the state the hostages are in even they still live? Barbarism at its best
beth...This is the first article that does NOT sound impartial due to this sentence: Hamas finally decided to stick to the truce agreement and scheduled the release of three hostages for Saturday. The “finally” implies judgement regarding the release. Not a deal breaker for me but I’m disappointed.
kabm...Actually, I don't care which comes first but when a person or entity makes a promise with another, they owe it to each other to keep the promise. Both sides bear responsibility. Being God's chosen people, I would think Israel would want to provide the "bigger" example.
lora...Hamas are terrorists that cannot be trusted. Release the hostages and then have the cease fire.
bron...How about rephrase the question to, "Should Israel honor its promises before receiving more hostages?" What an incredibly biased framing of this question.
rgar...Hamas has no barganing chips once all hostages are released. Isreal will eliminate Hamas as an entity as soon as the hostage question is resolved. Hamas knows they are living and acting on borrowed time, they will string out hostage return as long as they can.
char...Otherwise it is just a stall and regroup tactic.

  • 64% Yes
  • 36% No

culp...Our son had his tonsils and adenoids removed. The insurance company initially denied the claim because, “that is standard procedure for a claim over $1,000.” How ridiculous?
kare...I cracked my tooth and needed a root canal. My insurance wasn't going to pay for it because I had the policy for less than a year. The policy was going to be 1 year old in 2 weeks! I couldn't take the pain and didn't want to risk infection so I had to pay out of pocket.
hsus...I was getting my first colonoscopy, for free as it was considered a "necessary wellness exam". However, my insurance company refused to cover any of the prescribed prep medicines. I had to pay full price out of pocket for everything. I appealed as you can't do the colonoscopy without the prep medicines but was denied.
over...I wrote an appeal letter and succeeded.
chri...Insurance refused to pay anesthesiologist due to being out of network when there were no other choices for anesthesiologist to choose from
lynn...Wheelchair for my 97 year old mother denied
mich...My wife is a cancer survivor and a Blie Cross would not insure us.
rgar...I have Medicare and suppliment with United Healths best plan (F). I am 72 and have never had a claim denighed. I have had 8 hand surgeries and many other proceduure. I think that I have good providers with good credability that know how to use the system correctly or I am very lucky.
barr...United Healthcare's denial cost me 10k out of pocket. Yes, I appealed and it was denied.

Would you take medication daily to prevent gout if you were genetically predisposed?

  • 65% Yes, prevention is better than treatment
  • 35% No, I’d rather manage it naturally

EmailComments
jabo...Use of medications of any kind would depend on side affects potentially causing addition risks to something else in your health program.
mike...This should not be a big surprise to anyone. I suffer from gout and I do experience flare ups now and again when I'm dehydrated or eat/drink certain foods. But it's a condition that has been in the males of my family for years.
chir...Cherry juice extract capsules in high doses can stop a gout episode in 2 days. Prescription side effects can cause worse conditions.
efpe...cannot always treat it naturally, tried for years but it started occurring more frequently,
laur...My late fiance had gout and he was always proactive in taking vitamins that prevented attacks.
jmar...Gout is extremely painful when it hit and does not go away quickly. I take a daily prescription, where exact dosage needed to be determined by trial and error. Knock on wood, I have been without a flare up for 3 years.
zane...I have gout, and it hurts like the dickens. Prevention is great, but sometimes I want to eat BBQ, and having a Gout flair up after it is terrible.
