jamf... | Love cannot be defined. Human psychology varies with DNA, and cannot be clearly defined. We would need Neuroscience to be more mainstream for this to happen. |
cand... | Often, it is difficult for humans to determine emotional tones in conversations, I don't believe AI will be able to do that. |
bacc... | The unpredictable nature of human's and memories that drive responses cannot be anticipated. Only patterns that replicate average responses can be mimicked thus applying a percentage likelihood response to a situation and seeing if it works, learning and improving. Just like a doctor working with a patient 80% are outcomes you expect… it’s the 20% that will kill you.. |
jllm... | Now no, future yes |
rikp... | The right decision is not based on emotions |
grad... | Why would I trust the most emotionally inept humans to build a model to understand emotions? |
krip... | AI cannot respond about emotions, check many humans have difficulty. |
lora... | this is a waste of time for AI. there are other things AI can do which will help people |
kath... | I heard an AI model being used to interpret a person testifying on CourtTv and I am positively certain, it did not interpret the emotional tone of the victim who was testifying about her rape and domestic abuse. |
apat... | AI will not be able to understand cultural nuances in its emotional interpretations |
mary... | Yes! What a wonderful feature! (Let’s see if AI can detect my sarcasm) |
btaw... | As of right now. A few years from now, probably. Can you imagine AI learning emotions from today’s political rhetoric??!! Lying, name calling, egotistical…oh my! |
mhun... | I do not want A.I. on my devices. If I am forced to do this then I will cancel my Google and every other plattform. I will go off grid and stay that way. |
nanc... | There’s plenty of room for improvement, but these models have improved substantially since their initial release. |
just... | Not only our human emotions, not too complex for AI… It will become to understand our emotions better than we do. Because it doesn’t have the emotions that get in the way of the other emotions. AI can step back and look at it completely analytically as no human can. It takes the emotion out of everything actually Not saying that all of these AI’s couldn’t develop some sort of emotional programming. They learn to work the way that we speak to them. I always tell my AI’s please and thank you. :) |
boyd... | Ai conversational skills are better than most humans. |
step... | I have no expertise and very little experience but I have started using some elementary AI features. Human emotions are too complex for humans so simulating them seems unlikely. |
Do you think that the wave of assassinations of political leaders in Mexico can be stopped?
- 76% No, cartels have too much power within the Mexican government.
- 24% Yes,it can be cracked down
Comments | |
---|---|
lora... | This is why Trump offered Mexico assistance in getting rid of the cartels. The US should outlaw all drugs and this would help also. the US is the largest consumer of drugs in world since we made most of them legal. |
kath... | Of course, the political assassinations can be cracked down. However, where any government is head over heels involved it takes neutral people like MAGA's DOGE to step in, so that no matter who is involved it is revealed and stopped. Praying for the very lives of the DOGE whistleblowers each and every day. |
mdul... | We need to consider the timeframe when answering this question. Can the wave of assassinations be stopped in the next weeks and months? Emphatically, no. However, cartels represent a powerful but small percentage of the population and the vast majority of the population wants violence to reduce. Although Trump has weaponized all sectors of the US government for his own purposes, the commitment of the full resources of a government to protect its citizens is a worthy pursuit. Doing so can and will result in improved physical security for government representatives and the people more generally. |
prem... | There's a lot of military and surveillance needed that can be trusted. |
mend... | They’re at war they should treated as such in family research. They have to eliminate the problem. |
bill... | Mexico is becoming a failed state and the cartels have the upper hand. |
jllm... | Never have ,never will |
atli... | Drug cartels will continue until the US government undercuts drug use within the US similarly to the way Portugal has, but with no private corporation involvement. |
nanc... | This government has been more aggressive towards cartels than previous administrations, but it’s a tough job to rein such powerful criminals in. |
rsta... | These assassinations have been occurring for many Mexican administrations and most likely will continue. |
zack... | Mexico has been run by terrorists organizations for decades |
Do you believe the $175 billion cost for the Golden Dome missile defense shield is justified?
- 58% No, it's an excessive expenditure
- 42% Yes, for national security
Comments | |
---|---|
laur... | That cost is either vastly understated or the system will only protect a small portion of territorial US. I happen to live in an area that likely won't be protected and thus would become a greater target than it would be without the system. |
jamf... | People that balk at this expense do not realize how close we came during the Biden admin to devastation. The Gangs moved in. The Cartels were allowed to funnel people here to sex trafffic children and murder our citizens; the very citizens whose taxes were paying for them to be here. Iran gained momentum and nuclear capabilities...YES protect us! |
jame... | Only fools would let their guard down! |
jpau... | As long as this administration is in office, every detail of the development, construction, and installation of the system will be in the hands of the Russians as it happens. |
jllm... | I’m sure it’s just another money maker for Trump |
nanc... | It’s a ludicrous idea that will cost triple what trump says. Not to worry though, Elon will make billions selling his satellites to the U.S. |
walk... | It will be cheaper and safer to our military in the long run than conventional defense |
cb10... | What a joke! |
pldm... | Powerful defense is the control of peace in the world. |
paxt... | Both Russia and China have shown they have advanced military growth and presence. It’s a needed and effective response to defense to develop new ways to deter aggression. Otherwise they will do it if they’re not already on the way. |
rayd... | It’s Reagan’s Star Wars with a different name. Never got off the ground. |
tomg... | I would say no but now that Trump has alienated us more than any other president has, even with our allies, we may need something like this. |
tubi... | maybe being a better statesman once in a while, could keep the need for such things minimalized. |
kimk... | Here we go again. |
sing... | Boondoggle. Just like the Star Wars program years ago. Where is that now? |
kath... | Every step should be taken for national security. The prior administration never should have backed off of our security and military. We are seeing only the tip of the ice burg on how at risk we are of being attacked. |
kath... | and logistically/scientifically almost impossible to cover such a large nation. Could consider specific sites (DC, Stratcom etc) |
jaen... | War with China and Russia will probably be non-traditional and maybe cyber or economic or viral |
btaw... | Crazy talk. |
krip... | Just another ploy to help make Elon Musk even richer. |
cind... | We need a president that believes in talking before acting like he’s so tough and has unlimited funds. Anything involving Musk is excessive spending and selfishness. |
toko... | To believe that the Grifter in Chief won’t make a personal fortune on this transaction is hard to understand. |
cica... | I can’t trust anything that administration comes up with. I think this one’s designed to provide Elon Musk‘s starling with a lot more business. |
jeff... | And it certainly isn't going to be anywhere near $175b (more like $500+b). Also, this is nothing more than a scheme to funnel money to Elon Musk's StarLink. |
lora... | This should be done immediately. China will continue to build its arsenal and this makes it more complicated. |
glew... | When has a military program ever come in on budget? |
grah... | This both continuing grift on a massive scale and a return to Cold war fear tactics - without the actual threat. We would be far wiser to protect our infrastructures against advanced cyber warfare than be stuck in a box worrying about intercontinental ballistic missiles. |
sere... | Might be too little too late |
fjod... | Cuts to individuals lives constantly with Trump while expanding military war and killing. We are moving backwards from all the advances we have made in protecting human lives. |
mend... | I think it’s a wonderful idea in the world we’re in, but it would be way nicer to be able to not have a war of any kind and spend the resources of the world to make it more inhabitable for everybody |
rtmo... | I don't believe the current administration can effectively manage a project like this. |
robs... | Are you kidding? According to the Pentagon and U.S. Military Advisors, 1) China has now surpassed the military capacity and readiness of the United States; 2) Iran has converted an entire fleet of commercial ships into aircraft carriers outfitted with thousands of drones carrying punishing payloads, and 3)The China, Russia, Iran & North Korea is NOT to be underestimated. The next time the U.S. elects a Democratic President like Obama or Biden, under whose watch Iran increased it nuclear bomb capability to 85% - 90% of capacity, the volatile Iranians will finally achieve having nuclear weapons. The $175 Billion cost of the Golden Dome defense shield to protect the United States homeland is going to cost the same as one new state of the art domed NFL football stadium! |
flem... | It's very unlikely it would be protective and functional in any real way. It would not be necessary if the Trump admininstration weren't such a diplomatic nightmare. |
imkm... | Having musk involved is a major liability. |
nwre... | This will not come close to touching the costs to protect the entire nation. Cost overruns will happen and with current AI advancements, the tech will be ever changing |
rhit... | The actual cost will be closer to $1 trillion. |
rmac... | Could have paid for it with what Biden gave Ukraine! |
capo... | Providing aid to under developed countries, competent diplomatie, Capable leadership, Making friends is a lot less costly The dome is an untested theory as equal to Reagan star wars . |
step... | I don't know if it is too expensive but I doubt that it can be effective. The arrogance of this crowd is certain to find simple sounding solutions to complex issues. Technology is a tool not a solution. The solution is a clear and consistent national security strategy, something the Trump administration seem incapable of. |
call... | The DOOM is payback to the defense contractors and their employees who supported Trump. It represents the next level of militarization which authoritarian regimes deem necessary while their citizens go sick, hungry and uneducated. |
usct... | Most of the technology required for this type of defensive system has not been developed. |
Do you believe the proposed tax bill will mainly benefit wealthy Americans or average citizens?
- 75% Wealthy Americans
- 25% Average citizens
Comments | |
---|---|
nanc... | What’s new? Of course it benefits the wealthy. |
jeff... | Anyone who thinks that this has any benefit for average citizens is either lying or braindead. |
chiu... | This site is factual in its news reporting but very progressive bias in readers opinions just like the main stream media. Just another lib outlet |
kold... | We have already become a fascist oligarchy. |
lora... | The Trump tax bill will mostly help the middle class. The Democrats are just gaslighting the American people stating it only benefits the wealthy. SALT is definitely a benefit to the wealthy and should stand at $10000. Several families will get increased child tax credit which will help families. Fixing the fraud and corruption in Medicare and Medicaid will benefit all Americans. There should be a work plan to get coverage. People who can work should not get medicare or medicaid. Illegal immigrants should not get medicare or medicaid. |
usct... | We are hurting the least of these in America to provide more money for the most of these among us. |
atli... | Tax billionaires out of existence. |
rgar... | The average American for sure. No taxes on tips, overtime snd SS benefits does not favor the rich. Tax cuts by far and away mean more to poor and middle class people than the rich. It takes people with money to create new buisness and jobs. Very few people ever worked for a poor person. This is another Dem narrative that is a lie, Joe was cognative and has stage 4 cancer that just popped up, right. |
tomg... | What every happen to republicans being fiscally responsible? This will not only add more deficit but while Trump continues alienate pretty much everyone, we are are at a threat of losing the dollar as the common trade currency. This would be catastrophic to our county. |
geof... | It will benefit those who help him increase his power because that is what he is obsessed with above all else. |
tere... | When hasn't it? |
gwen... | Clear benefits to the wealthiest will clear harm to the poor and vulnerable. This, on top of increased prices (due to tariffs) and decreased medicaid coverage will have devasting effects on our most vulnerable and our communities. This bill is evil. |
btaw... | Midterms cannot get here soon enough to remove some of these crazy shenanigans. |
mary... | There’s nothing in it for the likes of me. |
nord... | Seems to me, it would have to be for the wealthy, as Poor families a d individuals do not pay taxes. They are to poor |
svli... | Why such a high deductible? |
heel... | Tax break for single filers is vital for middle class Americans |
robs... | Read "Taxes Have Consequences" by Arthur Laffer or simply Youtube "Art Laffer" to find the historically proven and documented answer to this question. |
cica... | Pretty much everything this administration is done has hurt working people and this one will be no different. The tariff Service. This budget bill will hurt us.. the destruction of the federal government is going to hurt us if it hasn’t started already. And our loss of leadership in the world is going to profoundly hurt us. |
step... | And no one else... |
nanc... | The Republicans have no interest in trying to help Americans on the lower end of the spectrum. They only care about holding on to their own power and money, and will do anything to maintain them, including corruption. |
kath... | If the Republican's want to continue to run this country, the proposed tax bill had better mainly benefit the average citizen. This was the party's campaign promise and this is what the average citizen voted for. |
wwne... | Tax cuts have been across the board and will continue to be |
call... | Trumps budget is a very cruel joke and will come back to bite him. Sadly poor/average wage earners will be hurt in the process |
jmac... | cuts are aimed at those who earn $400,000 and above. This is not the average citizen. It is shameful. |
jote... | The SALT would benefit higher income at the expense of lower income earners. Also fiscally responsible states are penalized by having to subsidize less responsible blue states. Not fair. They don’t talk much about that. |
jamf... | This bill benefits the Working Class!! People earning under $80,000/year. It also cuts Medicaid for Illegals-who should not be getting these benefits! Why do people want to basically financially sponsor this mass invasion of people to our country? |
bill... | The SALT deduction is a gift to the wealthy and to states that manage their budgets poorly such as NY and CA. |
jllm... | At least more and more people aren’t being fooled |
Do you think that relying on technology like supercomputers in scientific research will lead to more reliable outcomes?
- 87% Yes, technology enhances accuracy and insights.
- 13% No, it may lead to over-reliance on models instead of empirical testing.
Comments | |
---|---|
lora... | This is a good application for AI. |
tomg... | Along with AI. |
jllm... | Should use everything and anything in research |
nanc... | The use of supercomputers speeds up the process exponentially. |
kath... | There likely is already a cure for cancer and a lot of other diseases, criminally stifled by the medical, pharmaceutical, on and on, industries. |
kfer... | Computer can analyze models and more variable to produce more accurate forecast, be it weather or medical. |
Do you think probiotics could be a viable solution to combat harmful bacteria like colibactin?
- 51% Yes, they show promise
- 43% I’m not sure
- 6% No, they are not effective
Comments | |
---|---|
tome... | Actual controlled trials must be done which are long term and the “n “ is large |
gwen... | Studies have not shown that probiotic are effective. They are expensive. They also need a healthy environment to stay alive in the gut. |
jllm... | I just wish that the FDA would get more involved in testing probiotics instead of anyone producing these things |
call... | My GUT tells me weaning people off of meat and any foods which have been injected with antibiotics/genetically modified (wheat) is a better solve. |
kath... | I'm not sure. My dad and my brother both died of colon cancer. Dad and another brother had prostate cancer. Mom had 3 different types of cancer. We had never heard of 1 of them, so I doubt if it is receiving much attention. So much research and most all of the money is applied first and foremost toward breast cancer, so much so that many cancer types are not researched much or at all. |
nanc... | Given the increase in colon cancer among younger people, it’s worth considering. |
