pwwe...Israel needs to be held accountable for its actions including genocide and ethic cleansing because since WW II & Germany there has been no consequences or accountability for such actions. It will continue until the nations, most of whom have their own past of both genocide & or ethnic cleansing decide to actually stand up against these practices. Humans are supposed to be the most intelligent species yet we cannot settle disputes without violence, shame on us ALL! And finally we need to do with Britain & the U.S. failed to do from the beginning, ESTABLISH A PALENSTIAN STATE! Colonial powers have had devastating effects upon the world & they act like they were not involved in the ensuing problems but the created them. We can do better, we don't need to kill one another for land.
ward...hamas needs to be destroyed. do not stop until the end
mdsw...Only a superpower owning the entire country of Israel will stop this.
jimb...Hamas wages genocide on jews....jews wage genocide on hamas arabs.
jald...Hamas has to be wiped off the face of the earth. There is no peace if Hamas is left in charge period. Sad that Israel has to give up 1,236 living prisoners for 10 living and 18 dead Israelis.
nosk...Both sides have to be committed history has shown us that it is almost impossible to reach a peace that is lasting.
pame...A change in leadership in Israel is needed in order for the two states to realize enduring peace. Two states viability is what the world needs.
chri...Netanyahu needs the war as badly as the Hamas leadership. War distracts the populace. Same reason China will invade Taiwan.
kenn...I don’t trust anything Israel or BN claims.
mtsk...25 ppl in exchange for 1500? That’s stupid. Hamas will now have 1500 more terrorists. Therefore the war will go on
lkdn...This conflict has been going on for 100 years. I don’t think there is a resolution
tara...Sadly, with Hamas in charge, the Palestinian people will never act in their own best interest. Their government would rather sacrifice its own citizens to make Israel look bad, than to seek a lasting peace.
isel...As long as there are Arab countries there won’t be peace in Israel
dcot...You can’t deal with Hamas terrorists, they have proven that time and time again. Their army must be eradicated and dispersed from Gaza.
jame...You can’t trust Hamas.
remy...It won't because Israel is hell bent on ethnic clensing.
retc...The people of Gaza are so brainwashed from hamas that there will never be peace.
jmig...These ceasefires have never led to a lasting cessation in the conflict. Why would the result be any different with this one?
newb...The Israeli government and US are determined to remove Palestinians from their homeland in Gaza whatever the cost in lives, so that Israel can colonise the area (while accelerating colonisation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem) and the US President can see the creation of the Trump Riviera. Israeli politicians and President Trump have been open about them. Why should the world not believe them? The impact on the international rules-based system will be incalculable. The world will be a very different place in ten years.
adol...The fastest way to end the war is for Hamas to surrender and release all the hostages, both dead and alive.
coch...The problems are Nettenyahu and Hamas. If they continue as is, the conflict continues as is.
theh...We need US to hold Israel accountable for their wrong doings to innocent civilians. We need to show the world that everyone matters and just because your an ally we don’t accept the “holocaust” of Palestinians.
anya...The goal posts are always moving with the Israeli government and they have proven they are unreliable narrators. They broke the last ceasefire, 4K more Palestinians have died.
blup...It isn't enough, Israel needs to leave the gazans alone
theg...Hamas’ goal is the destruction of Israel and the murder of all Jews. So long as it retains any power, the goal will not change.
henr...Hamas is forever dedicated to the total destruction of the State of Israel.
nanc...It’s just a bandaid on a gaping wound.
jnud...the only solution is to totally disarm Hamas and expel them from Gaza
loui...Hamas needs to be completly 100% eliminated
pris...I think Israel wants to take over Gaza. And I think the result will be a new generation of angry young people who have been displaced!
bett...Why don't they do a definitive hostage exchange? Using humans as bargaining chips. The non-military hostages should be let go.
drhm...Hamas will rearm to continue their terror. They are a genocidal terror cult with a religion inspired charter to kill Jews and destroy Israel.
abbo...Although it will likely not lead to lasting change, the ceasefire is a step that will save lives and reduce the trauma that Hamas inflicted on the hostages and their families.
mjmc...This is a temporizing measure, which I enthusiastically support in order to get a flowing to a starving nation. However, I have no faith whatsoever that President Netanyahu will do anything less than decimate Gaza.
eve....It will be two generations before there is peace due to the hatred and “ revenge “ mindset of all who have lost loved ones, both sides. Only when love is taught instead of “ death to Jews” to the children will anything change. Teaching hatred and violence to a child is the most vile and criminal act anyone can do. I’ve been to Israel twice at very different times and spent time with both Arab Israelis that want peace and those who don’t. Heartbreaking.
itsf...This is a waste of time. Unless and until the evilness of Hamas is decimated once and for all, it’ll just never end.
rgar...Hamas has to be eliminated, no other option.
sfab...Anything to get relief for the suffering people in Gaza and for Israel to get back the remaining hostages. Peace is not easy and whatever inch that can move the needle to attain it is progress. Prayers for peace, end of suffering and end of war.
tubi...israel has no intention of giving up any ground and will continue to antagonize surrounding countries. mongers gotta monger
lora...The war will not end until all of Hamas is destroyed. Why our politicians do not get this. War is big business and politicians get enormous amount of monies from arms sales.
mfos...A ceasefire is necessary, although it in itself won’t bring lasting change. It does give an opportunity for diplomatic and political steps to be taken.
step...Hamas it’s completely without morality or credibility
zard...Mama's has one goal, the destruction of Isreal.
rsko...Trading Hostages for combative prisoners is never a good idea. They will be even more inclined to kill in their jihad. And hatred will continue through the generations.
btaw...Any ceasefire, or similar action brings them closer to ending this conflict. It may not be the end of the conflict, but it should save some lives.
ttim...It has been a 2000 yr. war, why would it change now. Cease fire at best.
bill...Peace will be obtained when the surrounding countries stop using the Palestinian's plight as political, economic and military propaganda and actually help their brethern ranther than using them as pawns.
iant...Hamas and Netenyahu gain from the conflict. Neither leadership get’s closer to their ultimate goals by ending the war, so neither will, but the civilians will suffer and bleed and die.
sdsa...Israel is committing genocide.
wdre...Hamas is a brutal fundamentalist terrorist organization that has vowed to obliterate Israel. They will never stop pursuing their stated goal. There will be no lasting peace until Israel routes out Hamas completely.
ajpe...There needs to be real movement towards ending the occupation of Palestinian people and an end to ongoing annexation of Palestinian land. The U.S. also needs to stop sending lethal munitions, at minimum in accordance to our own laws, and commit to the real protection of a people in the process of an Israeli genocidal military campaign.

Should the President have the authority to impose tariffs without Congressional approval?

  • 77% No, Congress should have a say
  • 20% Yes, it's vital for executive power
  • 3% Unsure

EmailComments
lora...Let Trump negotiate his trade deals along with tariffs. If it works, congress can codify it. If it does not work then Congress can state it was a failure.
bata...Only when congress does what it is doing.... nothing. The President needs to be able to steer the country when we have an "At All Cost" congress unwilling to work together
pame...Congress has abdicated its responsibility and power based on the founding fathers three branches of government to ensure checks and balances. Currently we do not have a president in the traditional sense today, we have an authoritarian who seeks to dismantle the rule of law.
boge...This isn't a matter of opinion
aesa...Our basis for government was laid out such that no one person reigned supreme. Everyone was accountable to the people and there were backstops put in place to prevent abuse.
isel...Constitutional law requires Congress to impose taxes and tariffs
sara...He understands NOTHING about markets or tariffs. Congress is responsible for fiscal management and should take back it's rightful authority over tariffs.
loui...Trump acts as if he is above the law. We can't let this happen in this country, leave that to the Russians and North Koreans...
rgar...Congress is unable to make ay decision that would help the US be solvent financially. We electeed Trump to do exactly what he is doing. We cannot continue to fund the world and go farther and farther in debt to do it.
mjmc...I do believe that Congressional approval is required, for obvious reasons.
cica...Congress needs to do their jobs. People elected to Congress need to stop viewing. Their election as a lifetime position.
vjmi...only congress should levy taxes
kidk...Trump is not king of America
blue...It's in the constitution, manipulation and perversion are not.
rsti...Unconstitutional Trump is unfit for office Impeach MAGA GOP traitors after Nov 2026 blue wave elections
blup...Dang, 20% of people dont understand how the US government works
btaw...It’s already established by law only congress can levy tariffs
us2s...Trump just wants attention, he has no real clue about anything. We’re truly fucked.
mdul...If anybody believed that this power might be better held by a single individual, I think the last 90 days will have corrected that error in the minds of anyone not slavishly following the current POTUS.
danj...read the constitution
jald...More important is it gets jobs back for the middle class. No one represents the middle class except for Trump. Congress is doing nothing for the middle class and that goes for both parties at least the President is showing that he is trying.
tubi...republicans have been awol during this entire administration, after nothing but crowing and stalling for the last 4 years.
zack...It insane how many people have zero understanding of executive power. We have smart phones and somehow got more ignorant. I forgot…no matter what Trump does it’s oRanGe MAn BaD
tere...No King
kamy...The president alone should not be able to make international financial decisions. The Congress was created so multiple minds can come up with answers and opinions not just one all based on the constitution.
retc...With the democrats hating President Trump with such spitefulness, congress is no longer viable in making decisions for the country.
albe...Congress has failed the people and needs to be corrected
phol...Someone needs to put a leash on that dog!
donn...What Trump’s doing is horrifying.
bhil...Follow the constitution! Tariff powers are granted to the legislative branch, not the executive branch.
cmar...One man should not have the power to raise taxes (and tariffs are a tax!).
bwel...It's vital that there be a balance of power so that no one entity can become too powerful, overstepping Constitutional law.
iant...In some instances yes, in some no, more detailed rules, definitions, and limits in time and scope should be set by congress.
anth...It is a clear requirement of the constitution and congress should do its job. The presidency cannot be allowed to continue to usurp authorities it does not have.
nanc...Congress needs to start doing their job!
lab4...Executive orders should be used for considerably less than they have been in recent years, and certainly not for controlling, or attempting to control the economic system at a global level.
mstu...This isn’t a matter of opinion, it’s say in the constitution that Taxes are the job of congress. No matter what trump says f tariffs are a tax.
twin...To have one individual make such decisions for the wealth of our country is preposterous!! That is why we have the system of government that we do!
geof...This country was founded on a system of checks and balances. It’s worked very well until Trump decided to ignore it. Unchecked power - except in times of extreme temporal crisis - is too dangerous. Trump acts like he’s running a private business - he’s not. He’s running the executive branch of a government.
lkdn...We do not have an imperial presidency. Trump is making a mockery of the Supreme Court ofer that said he is not liable for his actions.

In light of the significant drop in corporate profits, should companies prioritize layoffs to cut costs?

  • 69% No, they should look for alternative solutions.
  • 24% Yes, it’s a necessary measure for survival.
  • 7% Unsure

elro...Tariffs are the only viable causing this concern, so pass the costs on in prices. This is what the public voted for when they put him office. Clearly none of them understand how tariffs work. Net is they don’t. Never have worked throughout history.
blup...University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's (UPMC) highest paid "employee" last year was a retired CEO who made 12.1 million dollars.... How about we fire the criminals at the top instead of the lowest earners at the bottom
kvas...Companies should cut costs from the top down. CEOs and other top officers make the decisions for the company. If they cause the company to lose money, they should take the hit first.
abbo...Corporate leaders owe a duty to their shareholders AND a duty to the society that allows them to conduct business. Layoffs as a first response is like a doctor using amputation as a first response to an arm injury.
lora...CEO's need to do what is necessary to ensure their companies are profitable. No business can survive without profits.
deas...Adjust management wages for awhile.
btaw...Layoffs tend to be the fastest solution, but other cost cutting could be options. Each company is different depending on nature of the business and whether the drop in profits are only temporary.
pris...Maybe cut the highest officer salaries?
cica...Yeah, they really need to join together all the CEOs and support the role of law in the United States against a lawless and out of control of administration. The economy was doing fine and inflation was coming down before they took office.
pame...Corporations and their boards should demand the Federal Government return tariffs to their original state prior to the Trump Adminstration if we are to avoid layoffs.
r.sc...CEO’s can reduce their salaries and adjust profit margins. Laying people off will do more harm than good. The greed in this country needs to stop. And as soon as CEO’s recognize their roles punishing the workforce with layoffs will not help.
iant...Layoffs should not be the only lever, and when wide spread will make recession self fulfilling. The market shifts are not due to mid management but to the Executive branch causing numerous supply shocks and manufacturing instability cooling recession making
sara...Given the fact that underlying business conditions are good, except for the insane tariff regime, they should hold off on job cuts. Though politically, this regime should suffer a loss of confidence from the loss of jobs.
mdul...First, recognize that reduced profits need to be addressed. C-suite officers have a duty to maximize short and long term profitability for their shareholders. So, in light of current and expected reduced profits, they must act. The Trump trade war is continuing and the ABUSA (Anywhere But the USA) movement is becoming mainstream so management cannot simply hope for increased revenues to solve the problem - they must look at expenses. The Trump trade war has dramatically increased costs and that is not abating, so management has only one more place to look that represents a large percentage of expenses - labor costs.
lkdn...This criminal president has but business in a very poor position
isel...Corporations are required to make best decisions for increased profits. Lowering labor costs are critical to manage maximum profits
moll...They could reduce corporate profit and executive compensation.
nanc...Hopefully the tariff debacle will get sorted out and profit will return .
chri...Much of the turbulence is due to the uncertainty of capricious trade policy implementation. The economy seems strong provided that the huge tailwind of massive govt spending continues. Of course, the spending will screw us 3 or 4 years out. The politicians only care about the next election.

How do you view the SEC's shift towards clearer rulemaking instead of enforcement?

  • 57% A potential risk for investor protection
  • 33% A necessary change for industry growth
  • 10% Neutral

EmailComments
lora...Investors need to take responsibility. When they make money, they claim to be geniuses, when they lose money, they want a government bail out.
btaw...Trump wants it to be a free for all so his family can rake in the dough without oversight and regulations.
rgar...Cripto is here to stay. Standards of use and regulations will improve its stability and use. It is our future like it or not.
kvas...They can't do both? It shouldn't be an either/or question, but if Trump is going to continue to neuter the agencies that protect us, then the agencies should prioritize enforcing the rules in place with the personnel remaining available to them. What good are clearer rules if there is nobody left to enforce them?
pame...Grift and corruption abounds.
nanc...Still don’t see the crypto market as anything but a way to conduct business illegally, whether it’s money laundering, tax evasion, or a way to transfer funds to trump without oversight.
cica...Everything this administration does is going to be protect fraudsters , con artists, snake oil salesman, and unscrupulous corporations. American people are not being protected at all by the GOP.
sara...It's of a piece with this administrations embrace of fraudsters and refusal to protect investors and the rule of law.

Are you optimistic about potential advancements in environmental bioremediation due to this enzyme?

  • 79% Yes, it represents great promise
  • 21% No, I’m skeptical about its effectiveness

EmailComments
iant...I would need a lot more information, about the scope of the challenge to be overcome and the scalability of producing this enzyme and then scalability of it production with it. Some math about how it would affect carbon levels in the atmosphere

Do you believe the 100% survival rate achieved in this trial is a game-changer for breast cancer treatment?

  • 72% Yes, it’s a major breakthrough.
  • 23% No, it’s too early to tell.
  • 5% Unsure.

join...Breast cancer can take many years (often over 20) to recur and metastasize.
arkf...Small study in a very small sub-population of all breast cancers.
rgar...we can only hope and pray for potential cures like this.
jmig...Hope on these occasions, unfortunately, must be tempered with the realism that short-term results with relatively small test groups are uncertain. Encouraging for sure.
iant...Sounds like a promising and exciting result, but with no sense of study cohort representativeness and or fitness it seems way to early to call this a game changer. Repeatability and scalability need to be assessed and tested.
isel...Any treatment that increases survival rates should be used on expanded patient treatments
mdul...Those are very promising early results but they were achieved on a ver small sample size. Encouraging, but too early to tell if 100% survival is achievable with the affected population.
paig...As a cancer survivor, this is great news as long as the "toxicity" level doesn't impact the quality of life. Often they give these drugs to you until they know they are at the threshold of toxicity to the patient. In my case 2.5 years later I am still dealing with side effects from the breakthrough immunotherapy that was approved months prior to my diagnosis. Ultimately, most of us will take the side effects to live longer but I do think it's too early to tell. I am curious of the 70.7% are cancer patients / survivors.
bran...But will it also work with other cancer gene mutations, like PALB2?
