Just facts, you think for yourself

Do you believe that this war will bring regime change in Iran?

  • 56% No
  • 39% Yes
  • 6% Other

EmailComments
koze...Yes, eventually but probably not immediately.
matt...Who knows.
isel...A new leader will always emerge with the same intent to destroy Israel
marc...Israel is the only democratic nation in the entire Middle East. They are doing what they can to free the Persian people from the domination of the terrorist religious fanatics who have enslaved Iran for almost 50 years. FREE IRAN!
f.kr...Same ole same ole. This will not change anything as usual.
jlfu...Keep pressure on Iran! Whatever it takes to keep Israel safe/secure.
wdan...Population will demand regime change
rspr...The people of Iran overwhelmingly wish to take their country back from radical and oppressive Islamism. Israel must prevail.
elli...I believe the next leader will take very similar policies. A person may change but not the years of policy development.
andr...The will just get more entrenched
chew...If it does it's only because Israel will have assassinated Iran's leader.
mdul...Trump has shown that he reveres the strongman ethos in the leaders of other countries, like Putin and Kim. Netanyahu has picked up on this and shares another trait with Putin - a singular desire to have no bordering regions that might pose a threat. Also, like Putin, Netanyahu doesn't care how many lives are lost in pursuit of his goal. With all of that in mind, it seems more likely than not that Netanyahu will escalate further with Iran when he is strong and Iran is weaker, especially knowing that Trump will not rein him in.
wrec...People don't want leadership change when they are at war...
ned....It's their Religion that dictates !
kev....I believe we are seeing Biblical Prophecy being fullfilled
csbr...It will create a new generation of conflict. Israel has set itself up to be eventually eliminated through their attempted genocide of the Palestinian people and antagonistic strikes.
milt...As long as Iran has someone to hate they hold together. Israel has given yet another country someone to hate. War will not resolve differences forever, only will be a prelude to the next conflict.
rdkl...Dictator suppress population aggressively mainly through violent subversion. The ayatollah has been successful for nearly 40 years his sycophants won’t allow it to happen now
lora...It is up to the Iranians people if they want a regime change not Israel or the US. We can restrict them from a nuclear bomb but should not interfere with a regime change.
bkbr...If Israel completes its mission, yes. But the underground nuke facilities have to be destroyed.
davi...3
rlsc...I hope so!
roy....I hope it gets people to revolt against the current regime. The odds that it will be replaced by a more benign regime is low.
muke...UNFORTUNATELY, Animocity and "REVENGE" psychology is going to persist for centuries in the communities/countries feeling defeated at present.
jmed...Do you remember the Shah of Iran? After the US overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran in 1953, the US installed a dictatorship that ruled Iran until the revolution in 1979. The US does not support freedom and democracy and neither does Israel. Actually the US and Israel need a regime change.
tjki...He who lives by the sword dies by the sword.
pvol...I believe that Iran's ability to carry on this battle is poor. The Ayatolla is losing his following amongst the every day population. This with a downturn in the economy will bring about change. Of course everything could change if an international power comes and helps the Iranian government.
fcse...Iranians will rally around their leader against Israel..
dave...I wish it would. But I dont think it will
kimr...It's only going to piss them off further.
capt...If it continues into week four…
lyne...Citizens may become revolutionary
adel...I believe Isreal has been long overdue for this reaction. Iran should become an American ally so that Isreal and Zionists in power will be threatened. America will be free of the consequences that Isreal has been causing us for centuries
nanc...Not sure what benefits this will bring, after so many years of religious conflict.
mdos...If Israel destroys Iran’s nuclear capability there is no reason for Iranians to continue to support the mullahs, and they won’t! There is obviously the issue of fear and subjugation, but the Ayatollah is hanging by a thread. PS Have you heard that the mullahs are coming down hard on pet owners, because pets are allegedly “impure?” There is no way a sophisticated people like the Iranians-absent the allure of nuclear power-will put up with this nonsense.
lees...Depends on what you mean by change. It may harden civilian support of the current regime.
geof...Regime is too entrenched and powerful within Iran.

Is it more important to focus on addressing political extremism or improving mental health services to prevent attacks like this?

  • 79% Political extremism is the main issue
  • 21% Mental health services need more attention

EmailComments
koze...Leaders must stop demonizing the other side. Stop with the worst ever, return of Hitler, Natzi talk. Tim Walz can take lots of ctedit for bringing open flames to this smoldering hate speech situation.
gabr...Political freedom is very important. There are very little solutions for people with mental instability. Baker acting is the helpful law in place and even that just puts someone in the hospital for a day
nanc...Both really need to be addressed, but the right wing maga followers are ramping up extremism at trump’s request.
twin...trump incites violence as shown in the insurrection movement and his pardoning of them. He has given the green light on violence in this country!
cb10...And then you have the president of the US, our "leader", spewing lies and political rhetoric. This is why we are at this point.
csbr...White conservative Christian male domestic terrorists have become public enemy number 1 in the US. Their hate groups should be rounded and sent to foreign prisons or executed. The same should have happened to the Jan 6 seditionists.
isel...It's obvious that political extremism will prevail vs mental health measures to identify and treat this
dana...He should be tortured just like how Trump and these whacko white Christian’s Nationalist are torturing people. Disgusting 🤢
abue...Politicians have divided the country and encouraged extremism.
perm...Lack of consequences for breaking the law is partly to blame. Also, the current belief by many that it is okay to use violence to get what you want, and the attitude of tolerance toward that erroneous belief by progressives and the left in general, is a key factor in the rise of violence toward those with whom you disagree. It must be noted that this attitude is greater in those who express anti-Semitic and anti-American sentiments. Mental health in these cases is not the issue. People can’t be allowed to hurt others intentionally and then claim mental health issues to avoid consequences and punishment.
gibl...The left protests with bricks and Molotov cocktails not debate. Anyone engaged in these activities should be prosecuted.
avaa...It's both
kati...Needs prompt attention
tubi...having seen and heard proclamations of how ready they were if any 'liberals' started anything. looking for a fight where there is none.
nick...There is no respect for honesty and goodness with the current administration’s hate mongering and it encouraging retaliation and revenge.
lora...The democrats with their extreme political extremism has caused this crisis. Senators attacking a Secretary during a press conference is not acceptable, a congress woman attacking an ICE officer is not acceptable. The Democrats need to accept they lost the election and by causing riots, chaos, and political extremism needs to be stopped. The Democrats should engage with the Republicans to resolve immigration, reduce crime, reduce fraud by politicians like the Clintons, Pelosi, Schumer etc, Elizabeth Warren and Maxine Waters should be expelled from congress along with Schiff.
kvas...Republicans have stoked the fire of hatred and fear in order to get votes. This is the result.
55jo...Politicians need to dial back their rhetoric; kings, hitler and racist are patently false and inspire bad actors on both sides of the aisle.
kold...Trump exists because of hate and anger. This is his fault.
asch...Political extremism is a symptom of mental health problems. Mental health in the United States is now and has been at a critical level. Yet, we do nothing. It is almost impossible for a parent or family member to involuntarily commit someone - even just for 30 days. I know that involuntary commitment is a very serious act but it is often the only way to get people help that can prevent harm to others
marc...and we need to address the gun issue in this country
mdul...The ongoing threat, and commission, of violence on political opponents has been normalized by Trump. We all recall Trump making clear that he wanted dissenting voices removed from his rallies and that it was alright if they got beaten up while being forcibly removed. Trump's pardoning of actual insurrectionists and then his threat to meet any peaceful protests of his military parade with massive force are just some of the ways in which he has continued to signal that he endorses and supports political violence targeting those that don't agree with him. His ongoing characterization of political opponents as vermin to be exterminated simply adds to the notion that he accepts and endorses targeted violence towards them.
righ...Well... Both. These aren't mutually exclusive, so this is a silly poll. Though, we have normalize referring to anything like this as a "mental health issue" saturating the conversation and whether or not we can support or pinpoint actual solutions. Regardless, both. Public divestment leads to this. Get ready for more.
usct...We have always had a few extremists willing to kill. Social media and conspiracy theories help to feed this. Ideals that were once forced to operate on the dark edges are moving from the edges. They are encouraged by Trump’s violent posts as well as the acceptance by other political figures. Much of this is also normalized by the mainstream media and even religious leaders. We the people must resist these people and their actions.
kath...GUN CONTROL,m
tere...Political extremism, encouraged by foreign and domestic money and notoriety, fuel the hatred and fear and offers relief from isolation for the dispirited, downtrodden and demented. Hatred and fear 'trump' love and respect.

How do you feel about the approval of the US Steel deal?

  • 42% Positive
  • 34% Negative
  • 24% Neutral

EmailComments
wilj...The US government has no business being that engaged in the detail decisions of any business
ewmu...Where’s the unions voice in this deal? What concerns from union have been addressed?
tubi...if dumb donald is involved, you can be assured its a giveaway to someone wealthy at the cost of american labor.
tere...Typical of Trump, a 'golden hand' of the US go'vt, to compel the mfg to do the bidding of the Bd (appointed by Trump, i.e. the bidding of Trump). Private corporation should be run privately. If steel industry is an essential industry, but not economically viable, gov't should provide a path to viability.
righ...Stop privatizing public services. Also, the president should never have unilateral control over anything. Congress has "power of the purse." But awesome. Stocks. Let's just sell every asset we have. That makes sense. We'll produce nothing, buy everything, and incur debt beyond belief. This will only hurt Americans.
avcv...It’s difficult for two companies to jointly own manufacturing facilities. I can’t image it will be easy or efficient for the US government to be involved in a manufacturing operation, especially after Trump leaves office because most political leaders don’t come with strong business operations experience.
ebr....I need to wait and see what happens before I make a judgment on this issue. It could be good, but it could also be filled with empty promises.
ddb7...Keep politicians out of matters of commerce
lora...This is good for the US and the steel workers.
cica...It’s a wait-and-see situation. I don’t trust Donald Trump with anything.
to55...govt should stay out of private businesses, this deal reaks of corruption
cb10...What happened to "America first"? The US needs to have its own steel company, not be aligned with a foreign company.
brwa...The industry needs help
bcar...INFLATION IS AROUND THE CORNER

How significant is the impact of the ongoing U.S. tariffs on China’s economic outlook?

  • 53% Very significant; tariffs are a major drag
  • 47% Only somewhat significant; China can adapt

EmailComments
lora...tariffs will have no bearing on China or US economy. It will bring jobs back to the US.
kati...Tariffs problem
righ...China has already begun to ween off the American economic system. Just like Russia, they're working towards economic stability and independence, but they're certainly open to "The Art of the Deal"... And it has typically benefited them.
mdul...China also realizes that economic data showing the drag on the US economy is only just starting to show up and that Americans are intolerant of economic pain, especially when it is self-induced. If you were betting on who can outlast who in a long term conflict, China would have to get your bet. Already, China has almost wholly filled the international gap that Trump created with his withdrawal from all programs intended to bolster American interests abroad. All of those regions become areas of future Chinese investment and export.
kvas...The "major drag" is going to be on the U.S. and its consumers.
twin...This has trickle down effect! Vendors who get product from china have already closed their doors making product for the holiday season unavailable and those vendors still in business are claiming product will be late!!!! Business owners in the US depending on these products will definitely feel the effects. Will US businesses go down because of this? My guess is YES!!
robs...Only CHINA can experience a 35% reduction in sales to its largest customer, and then have the AUDACITY TO financially report and LIE TO THE WORLD that its total sales increased by 6% in 60 days.
nanc...It is very telling that exports rose, even though exports to the U.S. dropped over 34%. They are finding other countries to purchase their and moving on from the U.S.
nick...Tariffs are not a good way to build the economy of the US nor a great US dollar. It is basically a tax on the poor. China is unfortunately way ahead of the US in so many advancements because they support it. Their economy will be affected but not like ours.
bcar...Unfortunately Trump does not know what he’s doing with tariffs

How urgent is government action to monitor and control emerging pollutants like MCCPs?

  • 82% Very urgent, immediate action is necessary
  • 18% Moderate urgency, more study required before action

EmailComments
kati...Clean air. Clean water. Natural habitats deserve priority
lora...This is again the Democrats fearmongering and gaslighting the American people. They bring up this fake news and then do nothing when they are in power.
righ...It's already too late.... But the worst we can do is try.
nick...We are killing the world and need to address it immediately or there won’t be a world left to live in.
kvas...Although, how that immediate action can happen in light of TACO's dismantling of the federal government is a separate question
abel...Trump administration better change their ways and fast, appointed officials do not understand what is needed creating long term harmful effects

How familiar are you with advanced drug delivery systems like electrospun fibers?

  • 87% Not familiar at all
  • 12% Somewhat familiar (aware of general concepts)
  • 2% Very familiar (studied or worked directly with related technology)

EmailComments
ebr....Not familiar at all, but I'm all for improvements in the medical field.
nanc...Sounds interesting. I’d like to know more.
nick...I read an article about this about a year ago.
suza...This is interesting anyway.
kvan...Can you translate into english? Haha
pats...Talk so we understand
