- 18% No, US support should be the priority

kimk... | Does Putin really think we (and Ukraine) would fall for his proposal. Facilitate new elections means our soldiers will round up the citizens and make them vote for who we think is right for them. |
cmur... | Trump and Putin are too closely aligned for Ukraine to genuinely trust the Trump administration. Administrations change and Ukraine needs to think about its long-term future. |
melz... | Let the EU propose something then what's left of Ukraine can decide |
fcse... | Forget U.S. for now. Align with Western Europe. Free elections in Ukraine? Putin should talk! |
kjla... | Trump and Putin are not trustworthy |
swjo... | "Its" is not clear, Ukraine's with European or US ties with European? |
kpd4... | As much as I agree with the President on his domestic agenda I believe he is taking the wrong side on the Russia-Ukraine issue. Putin is not to be trusted period. We should be backing Ukraine in the DEFEAT of Putin. |
bruc... | we should be supporting Ukraine more and Russia less |
trag... | Ukraine needs to maintain alliances with its European allies so it does t have to bend to US demands. US administration may not be reliable- they have their own agenda |
jean... | If Ukraine wants to continue to exist as a country, it will require US support |
srcl... | I wouldn't trust this administration if my life depended on it!!! |
twin... | Trump and putin are buds. Zelensky has every right to be concerned! |
brod... | The Trump administration has made it abundantly clear that it is not in alignment with Ukraine, nor with Europe, but that its alignment is with Vladimir Putin. Ukraine cannot afford to entertain any hope that its existential crisis will be solved by aligning with the U.S.. |
mich... | Trumps’ demands undermine Ukraine’s long term security. It is sick that the countries that demanded and made promises of security to Ukraine for Nuclear disarmament are parcelling out Ukraine thirty years later. US promises are worthless now. |
wgle... | The Trump administration is destroying America’s reputation as a reliable partner. Why should Ukraine trust it? |
chet... | Trump is a Russian asset, embarrassment to USA, and example of piss poor educational system which generates MAGA supporters. |
simo... | How about Putin propose a temporary administration in Russia to facilitate new Real elections |
cica... | The United States is the greatest nation in the world’s ever seen. The world’s also never seen the greatest nation of its time make itself rapidly so irrelevant to the rest of the world. Putin and Xi are licking their chops. The Europeans are mobilizing to protect one another. An America’s rapidly becoming an object to be pillaged for parts. |
dpre... | Tough to tell if "it" is referring to the US or Ukraine's ties to European allies. |
bcar... | You can’t trust Putin’s puppet (DJT) to do anything but Putin’s bidding |
ebr.... | The majority of Americans support Ukraine however, with this crazy new Trump admin no one knows what this lunatic will do. Putin is deceitful and not trustworthy. I stand with Ukraine!🇺🇦 |
jllm... | Putin former KGB has his cronies already in place, it’s called long term planning. He’s playing with a stacked deck, while we’re playing old maid. |
aubr... | Also what is this question. Aren’t we more worried about the election under martial law thing? |
drbo... | The current US position not just threatens weakening our relationship with our European allies but putting us directly in opposition to them in a military situation. They are supporting Ukraine we are supporting Russia the president’s approach to this is inexplicable and very alarming. |
ndej... | The US request for payback is absurd. What about all the other countries who have actually paid more. US is dreaming. US should cash in Russian assets they hold and use that money for payback. This isn’t negotiation it’s blackmail. |
lake... | Putin is not concerned about elections there unless he could put someone in that would capitulate to him. The US demands are too much and could lead to the US taking control of the country. Europe is not comfortable with Trump and this could alienate Ukraine from them which would lead to a takeover by Russia. |
Is a 2% rise in pending home sales a meaningful recovery — or just a short-term reaction to lower mortgage rates?
- 81% Short-term reaction
- 16% Meaningful recovery
- 3% Other
Comments | |
---|---|
tomp... | Inventory of unsold homes is increasing, reductions in prices are continuing to increase. I have seen builders reducing prices 5% to 10% in our area. |
pval... | both short term reaction/rates AND seasonal trend. Fall/winter was s-l-o-w in many (but not all) parts of my area |
pete... | 2% is noise and is probably near the same magnitude as the accuracy of the survey. It could just as easily be explained by winter weather patterns. |
mela... | Weather's getting nicer in northern climates when people start looking/buying again. |
ebr.... | Who knows. Maybe the fed should drop rates again. I’d refinance for 3.0% |
kcg.... | Absolutely not a recovery. With tens of thousands of layoffs, any home sales are a result of loss of employment, not a reaction to mortgage rate changes. |
jllm... | There’s a lot of people waiting for that affordable monthly rate, for years it was based on the prime lending until it went to zero now I’m not sure. But if has gone back to that, percentages over PLR, then why isn’t it lower and make it a meaningful recovery. |
cmur... | There is a lot of pent-up demand and with rates slightly lower some buyers have come off the sidelines but it won't last if the Trump administration continues with their misguided economic policies. |
bobm... | Home sales are down much much more than 2% from 5 years ago. We need to see 10-15% increases month after month to restore the real estate business. We need interest rates down to 5% immediately. |
bcar... | Tariff’s on Canadian lumber will increase home building costs reducing new home building. |
cica... | I’m really not sure |
eg_y... | This pole is too vague must have more concrete evidence |
mdul... | This is at the core of the argument we are seeing right now where Trump fans believe that the tariffs are going to pay off soon and that prices will drop, while Never Trumpers believe Trump is on a fool's errand and the economy is soon to turn dramatically worse. At this time, consumer confidence has dropped to its lowest point in 12 years and the likelihood of recession, which was at 0% when Trump won the election, is now at 50% and growing. One respondent in today's report of your last poll believes that the auto industry is going to boom after 6 months as all or most auto manufacturers bring all parts and automobile manufacturing steps back to the US. That seems beyond the case of just "unlikely" but it is a widespread belief among the Trump fans. Time will tell but history suggests the tariffs will not have desirable economic effects, that inflation will rise, leading to increases in interest rates with the attendant reduction in home purchases. |
meli... | I’m guessing |
Do you trust that most tourist attractions abroad meet international safety standards?
- 84% No
- 13% Yes
- 3% Other
Comments | |
---|---|
ebr.... | They don’t, but that adds to the fun! |
cica... | Soon our own domestic tourist attractions won’t meet international safety standards because the president administration is gutting all regulations. |
bcar... | Depends on the country and how high their safety standards are |
jllm... | If you been on any tourist attraction especially at sea anywhere in the world including America, your taking your life in your own hands |
srcl... | Accidents happen no matter where you are. |
meli... | I have spelunked in RUSSIA. It was haphazard at best. Many places in the world do not adhere to standards as high as in the US. |
kevi... | Im guessing most having traveled internationally in this survey pool. |
Do you currently invest in individual tech stocks or IPOs?
- 59% No
- 41% Yes
Comments | |
---|---|
srcl... | I don't have money I can afford to lose. |
jllm... | Tech stocks yes, done chasing IPO’s. The first day’s fever pitch is unrealistic, then they settle down but you’ve lost half your money, waiting for it to go north or south is just plain aggravating. |
cica... | I think the best bet is to invest not in stocks per se, but in companies. Find a good solid company with a good solid business idea that has a decent market and a future. |
Have you ever made a decision to delay or avoid antibiotics for yourself or your child based on long-term health concerns?
- 67% No
- 33% Yes
Comments | |
---|---|
mtme... | Yes my child seems to get milk allergies due to antibiotics |
cica... | no because we thought they were safe. |
jllm... | I guess there’s the problem, we trust someone without the proper research, damn another crap shoot. |
cand... | I'm careful with even seeing a doctor for many things that I think might go away on their own. Typically things such as "colds" or the "flu" which I'm not really sure what the illness might be, I will wait them out for a week or so instead of going off to the doctors. I believe a lot of doctors will prescribe an antibiotic for what is really a virus and therefore the antibiotic isn't helping anyway. I don't do this for things such as diabetes but so that my body doesn't get immune to the effects of antibiotics. I will take them if I feel that they are really needed. |
Should discoveries about brain evolution impact how we define human consciousness or self-awareness?
- 62% Yes, scientific insight should inform philosophy
- 38% No, those concepts are philosophical, not genetic
Comments | |
---|---|
anni... | I believe continue research on the human brain will give us important information how our brain works |
jllm... | Right or wrong, don’t most people believe it’s in the genes, the way we think can be so different than our neighbors, who said it, Know thy self. |
cand... | I don't think that the evolution of brain size can be correlated to human consciousness or self-awareness. If indeed studies show that parts of the brain that affect those things has enlarged then perhaps it should be studied. I don't know that we can consider enlargement of the brain overtime a distinct connection to more cognitive skills of any sort. Perhaps they are related but that needs to be continually studied. |
