Anna's Daybreak News

Just facts, you think for yourself

From what you've read, do you think voters’ concerns about rising prices are adequately addressed by these new trade policies?

bfph...Yes. This is more of a political issue than a pricing issue
tomd...This helps, but it's just one of the many pieces to the inflation issue.
wate...The question was poorly written. I believe the new agreements described are part of the overall plan to address rising prices. The overall policy is sound.
bjef...Who actually trusts anything said by Trump or his administration?
lisa...The administration's fickleness and resulting "shifting sands" of tariffs, product availability and overall impacts on basic needs for consumers are growing, while prices continue to rise. Are corporations taking advantage of the tariffs and using the situation to artificially increase prices on imported goods? I wonder...
nanc...Come on! Consumer Confidence is at its lowest in 65 years. That’s what people think of our idiot chief’s ability to correct this mess he’s caused.
nilu...Costs for cuTomers are still too high
spro...Bidens inflation was 9% and he owns these high prices. How to propose we lower prices dems? Build more wind mills, raise taxes, give another $60b to Ukaraine? Armchair economists who don’t understand economy shouldn’t vote
1tpa...the tariffs were'nt thought out so now we lower them and try to get back to where we were. Not too smart
sara...Kts all ruled by mood and whim - and most of the countreis' promises are just ways to placate the mad emperor and don't have any secured or verified reality to them. So on both sides everything can change as soon as the naked emperor feels happy ro bad about something. Also - doing deals on things like beef pork and dairy hurst US farmers - so....there is no fundamental set of principles or practices behind any of this. Just ricocheting from one half formed idea to another.
jmla...It’s all a scam by Trump and his bootlickers! Crate chaos where there is none and then take credit for resolving the chaos you created! In the process, Trump and his criminal supporters grift millions of dollars to enrich themselves!
pmtm...Bunch of bs!
cger...Progressive Leftist are a fickle bunch. During the most spendiest President EVER, which sent inflation rate soaring into the 9% range, and groceries(what was even on shelves) jumped 50% greater there wasn't a "peep" sounded. Now that Trump is in office, and he has inflation around 2% it's all his fault. Sounds like a bad case of TDS to me.
tuck...Absolutely not. Those trade policies and tariffs are the reason prices continue to rise. Corporate greed in conjunction with political blessing and their corruption is what the middle classes
cica...Not even close
rtet...Trump needs to reverse ALL of his illegal tariffs.
jhen...Tariffs are worsening the lives of Americans everywhere in our country.
dmis...It took decades to get us into this mess, give the alternative a little time to take hold, energy prices have already come down and that's something I can easily see and track in my utilities. Fuel prices are down which lowers transportation cost, which will translate to lower cost of goods
purp...Fake news and the deals are way to small
jkos...Trump has no clue as to what he's doing.
walk...Not just these few, but the trend is wholey good for the US, have to have the strength to stay the course with also requiring investment in the US. This is not a single shot play, but macro economics
chri...Each day Trump and his team are focused on circus acts instead of producing and managing effective government.
fran...Eliminate tariffs instead of using them for the redistribution of wealth that is now occurring
fnpn...You do know that prices have gone down, not up. The average price of most commodities that Americans purchase have gone down.
lcha...Bringing in beef from Argentina while American Farmers struggle is an insult to our intelligence. The tariffs are paid by the importer and passed on us, the consumer. If you want lower healthcare costs and a balanced budget, tax the wealthy. Stop giving tax breaks to people that are millionaires, billionaires and trillionaires.
jazz...As always, TACO! Trump flies by the seat of his pants. After his tariffs created a soybean crisis for farmers, he proposed a $10 bailout for those farmers to correct the very problem that he created. There is no logic to his policies.
jose...Trump created the problem and now he is trying to change course. How dumb can Trump and his economic team be?
john...The damage has been done by trump in his blind obsession to bring countries to heal….prices have gone up, because at the end of the day the American consumer is paying for the increase in tariffs, NOT the exporting country as trump insists, they will never come down… as a nation we are screwed by his actions… that’s what we get for having a billionaire president who is out of touch with reality …
earl...In3d
atli...Extortion is not diplomacy.
aunt...It is the job of CONGRESS to impose or reduce tariffs! "47" has been acting ILLEGALLY since he swore to uphold the US Constitution!
cesv...Zero tariffs will help
larr...Importers and distributors will make up for lost profits and not lower prices significantly.
twin...Much more needs to be done by that administration! 25% of american families are living paycheck to paycheck! Get it right trump!!! Quit vacationing and spending OUR MONEY FOOLISHLY!
mona...It is a start. We need more fresh produce frozen like France is doing to get nutritious food to everyone. Supermarkets can showcase different frozen vegetables with a recipe - easy pick up and prepare
rick...Tariffs are stupid
mdul...I bought some wine while traveling in Europe this summer. When it was delivered, I also had the tariff bill to pay. A friend of mine just bought an $11 small fan that was coming from Canada. When it arrived, there was also a bill from UPS for the tariff ($3.85 with a notice of failure to pay in time would increase the cost to $9.50). Even though Trump has MAGA convinced that someone else is paying the tariffs, those without a skewed view realize that Trump this year imposed the largest tax increase to Americans that we seen in decades. Anyone saying "yes" to this question needs to reevaluate the sources where they get information.
jose...regular Citizen or voters are not much concern about the tariff, all they are concern about cost of living, or can they have enough funding for their daily lives?

What is the primary motivation behind the U.S. Operation Southern Spear?

  • 46% To pressure Maduro’s government
  • 41% A mix of both equally
  • 13% To stop drugs entering the U.S.

jose...How about Mexico?
erwi...There could be political reasons behind it which the public is not aware of. I stopped listening to fake news from both sides. I try to limit it to facts only. Since I personally don't know any political hidden agenda, I will assume it's mainly focused on stopping drugs from entering the US. Hence, it's about time we put force in stopping these powerful drug cartels from producing and shipping illegal drugs, plus other heinous crimes like murder and human trafficking.
ocds...It's neither you idiots Distraction from the Epstein files. Jesus, Anna, get a clue. These options you offer are trash.
anth...Since the US border has basically been shut, there is a greater attempt to transport drugs by boats. The operation is not only addressing this , but also developing new technologies.
aran...When will we understand that political conservatives and professed Christians are the biggest party animals since the ancient Romans? Their only concern is that people work for as close to nothing as possible instead of smoking weed all day. As a beggar woman of 12thc Paris once said, "why should I work all day and still have nothing?" This is about bullying a country that can't fight back. Shameful.
brad...Trump just wants Venezuela's oil.
klfa...Maduro's leftist politics, sanctuary to narco-criminals, Hezbollah, and various other miscreants have made him a thorny and outspoken neighbor. Unfortunately, military action is a Pandora's box for all concerned, and typically devoid of the two most critical words in any plan: "Then what?"
cger...STOP POISONING >100,000 Americans a year with your drug smuggling!!!!
fesk...None of these. This is an excuse to start a war. Historically, -presidents rema9n in office while a war is going on. There’s his illusive 3rd term! That’s his strategy
lkdn...And to divert attention from Epstein papers
lync...Neither. It’s Trump attempting to divert focus from the Epstein files in the disastrous way he has handled the economy.
bjef...The real reason is that Trump can bully them and needs something to appear tough and aggressive to deflect attention from all the other crap going on.
doct...The drug issue is a complete lie. - a total fabrication. It should not be repeated. It is a lie. A speed boat cannot make it to the USA from 1200+ miles away. The regime has provided NOTHING to substantiate its lies. Senior military has left in the Southern Sphere because this is a lie. Trump wants Maduro out so that he can install his own drug cartel friendly operatives and take a cut. Follow the money.
bret...Most likely it is about reducing Latin populations. The Trump administration is 100% against illegal immigrants and Venezuela is the source of a huge influx of immigrants. Dead Venezuelans can't cross borders. Maybe they are trafficking drugs, maybe people and maybe just fishing. The Trump administration is ok with the outcome regardless.
coll...The narco fight will weaken the Maduro government, and the fact that no one is coming to his rescue, confirms he is isolated and vulnerable.
falb...It’s actually a political distraction from his problems at home. There is no possible reason why he should attack a foreign country at this time. It is absurd!
kear...Maduro has swamped his country. His people are starving.

tuck...It’s hard to know the truth. Their government lies, manipulates currency so any data they release is worthless
drma...No, without stealing or tech, illegally dumping cheap crap in America, manipulating their currency and child slave labor, they would be bankrupt.
cger...Thats why they are willing to make a deal with Trump.
atli...What is bad for China is bad for the US. Cooperation instead of competition is the answer.
tkl7...Who is able to verify the number they provide?
chri...The way the Chinese manage strategic planning is admirable. If they only enshrined personal freedoms and protections, I’d move there!

nanc...Not surprising, given the increasing inability of the human race to accept those who are different from them and show respect to all. How else could trump have been elected a second time if that wasn’t the case? We’re doomed, I fear.
dmis...There are standards of conduct that all participants agree too, not just the contestants. If the rules are broken then your out. If taken on a case by case basis then there will be bias

bjef...it is important to note that this is a qualified yes. We've had other stories, think of the Sacklers and oxycontin, claiming to be addiction free. Just saying.
atli...The European funding for research should be matched by US funding. This kind of cooperation between China and the US should be encouraged.
