Should Trump take a harder stance on Putin as Senate Republicans suggest?

  • 89% Yes, stronger measures are needed
  • 10% No, diplomacy should take priority
  • 1% Other

EmailComments
joe....It's time for Trump to get a spine in dealing with Putin's aggression and war crimes.
dian...How well did pretending Hitler was an honest partner work?
catm...Trump is being played. His ego will not let him loose and Putin knows this. He’s (Trump) playing right into Putin plans. Trump does not have the balls to rise against him and Putin knows this. Ww3 here we come!
lenn...Putin only understands military force
runn...Putin cannot be trusted. The YS must provide protection
abue...All wars have to end through diplomacy and peaceful agreements.
stac...Putin is a liar and a criminal.
cica...Putin’s an asshole. He’s also a murderer and a thug. He unleashed a rat pack of pedophiles, murderers and rapists on Ukraine and in Africa. Nobody should be talking to him. The Russian economy is on the roots and so is their military. We just need to keep supplying Ukraine with everything they need to keep killing Russians.
djan...The US should arm Ukraine to the hilt and show Putin he’s no match for our weapon systems. If Putin knows we are behind Ukraine he will fall in line.
mdul...Yes, he should, but he won't. On the same day as his first call with Putin, Trump ruled out NATAO membership for Ukraine, ceding a huge negotiating point before even beginning. Two days later when addressing the EU, JD Vance doesn't even mention Ukraine and chastises the EU for regulating free speech (especially ironic given the Trump recent clamp down on free speech) and embracing the far right. One week later, Trump calls Zelenskyy a dictator and blames Ukraine for the war. I can go on and on but the bottom line is that Trump has done everything possible to bolster Putin and Russia, just as he has done consistently for 10 years now.
erwi...Trump seems to be favoring Putin which he is highly criticized and questioned on his hidden agenda for supporting Putin. He needs to prove to the American people and the rest of the world that he does not support Putin and have a harder stance on Putin.
evma...Ukraine should not be a NATO member. It’s an overreach. Russia wants a buffer to NATO. And I love how the Europeans feel free to offer the ultimate protection OF THE USA to more countries over there without paying their fair share for that protection. They keep writing checks on our account.
mark...Do not slow Putin to set the tone
trag...Sadly, nice guys don’t win here. We need to take a very strong stand to end fighting and prevent Russia from seizing Ukrainian land.
dkwt...For now, offer Putin a very positive offramp to that he can save his power- which is the only thing that matters to him. If in the end he refuses to stop his war, annihilate Russia through financial levers and through arming Ukraine to the teeth
meli...ALWAYS diplomacy over war
zack...Not many pay attention of how diplomacy actually works. Biden had a “hard stance” on Putin for 3 years. Which resulted in over a million deaths and zero contact or push for peace. Just death by US taxpayer money while the war machine made billions. When did the left become the party of endless war? Trump will bring peace and the left will hate it. Watch! The war will end and coordinated propaganda will run with “Trump is putins puppet”. Yet somehow people still don’t see actual reality.
rose...Putin wants to expand his empire. I doubt he will agree to a ceasefire unless he gets to keep a large part of eastern Ukraine. This would be very bad for NATO and for the US.
kold...Allowing a fascist dictator to invade and take over part or all of a country is something the free world should never, never allow. Of course, the USA is no longer part of the free world. We, too, have a fascist dictator.
juli...tell russia to fall back. Trump IS putin’s best friend
atli...Return to Putin's reasonable prewar conditions and settle.
mary...It’s all theater with Trump and Putin. Don’t expect to see behind the curtain
john...Take a strong position when Russia is economically and military weakened. This is only effective way to bring him to the negotiation table
mrmi...The Kremlin has made it abundantly clear that their long term goal is to rebuild the Soviet Union. To ignore that goal would be foolish. It would also demand a serious investigation into whether or not the President of the United States is in fact a Russian asset
cont...Ukraine is the victim, we should be doing everything we can to support them.
petr...Putin needs to be stopped. Trump is acting like Putin. So it is a bad situation.
pjsm...Putin’s attempt to take back the areas of the former Soviet Union are frightening and need to be halted without the reward of the invaded areas being handed over to him.
davi...Respect Russia’s nuclear superiority
andr...Seriously just get this done. How many times has the military industrial complex tricked us?
ebr....Putin is a war criminal, a kgb agent. He should never be trusted by anyone.
racx...As a regional bully, Putin has threatened use of nuclear weapons to help stall western resistance. We need to call his bluff. We need to stop him before he invades the Baltic states. Strong support for Ukraine and NATO is the only way to stop Putin.
henr...Putin is the aggressor in this war.

Are inflation concerns overblown, or is rising PPI still a major issue?

  • 83% Still a major issue—costs remain high
  • 15% Overblown—prices are stabilizing
  • 2% Other

mrse...Inflation, coming down, will now be fueled by the tariffs
patp...impeach Trump
fcse...We have yet to see the consequences of tariffs.
zack...We went 4 years being told things weren’t that bad. They even changed the definition of what a recession is. Most of the Biden Admin economic numbers were fluff, this is a fact. But only after a few weeks of Trump MSM propaganda is telling us that things are terrible and it’s all trumps fault. 🤡 🌎
cica...Trump took a perfectly good economy and he destroyed it. Prices are up all over the place. Our retirement accounts are dramatically down and all of it was completely unnecessary. This is all nonsense. Every single thing he does.
mdul...Costs remain high and it appears that the consensus view is that they are just going to continue rising. Trump himself has done a full 180 and saying that they are going to rise while pointing to some fantastical world where it all adjust back in favor of his policies.
chiu...Bias politicians and media blowing it out of proportion and no mention of positive aspects of GOP actions
jllm...Inflation a part of life, when uncontrollable it effects us all, unfortunately our leaders think making our lives more miserable will solve it, might work on the small stage but this is the big time baby.
rmac...Unfortunately for Americans the Biden administration screwed the pooch and most food prices will never come down!
aubr...It’s not just looking back 1 month or 1 quarter, or even 1 year. We need to look back 5 years. What did things look like in Jan-March 2020. This is why people are struggling. It’s that we had crazy inflation and while the rate of monthly inflation has slowed, prices have not corrected, and we now have this new benchmark that’s untenable.
andr...The best real time inflation index is "Trueflation", which is backed by a decentralization concept called "oracles" and integrates with the blockchain. It usually front runs the CPI by about 45 days, has proven to be very accurate, and is currently at 1.5%. I am surprised more people don't know about this.
henr...The price increase speaks for itself.

Do you think the US should increase or reduce sanctions on Russian energy?

  • 92% Increase—pressure should be maximized
  • 7% Reduce—they aren’t working as intended
  • 2% Other

cica...We should be doing everything we possibly can to hurt Russia. They need to withdraw from Ukraine and Crimea. Let’s face it. Russia has always been the shit stain on the face of Europe. They’ve never helped one of their neighbors and usually they’ve done nothing but meddle and cause problems for them.
zack...END THE PROXY WAR!!!
dled...Russia is not a friend to US
racx...Sanctions are working and they alone are not enough to discourage Putin.
jllm...Petal to the metal
atli...Cut off oil transport on Russia and all other countries. Save the world from environmental collapse.
ebr....Punish Russia for attacking the sovereign nation of Ukraine. I stand with Ukraine.

Do you trust Meta’s Community Notes to provide unbiased fact-checking?

  • 82% No, it will be manipulated like other fact-checking systems
  • 14% Yes, crowd-sourced moderation is better than corporate fact-checkers
  • 5% Other

EmailComments
miss...Since corporate “fact checking” has been shown to be obviously biased and often wrong, it should be abolished. Crowd source “fact checking” may be better, but is subject to a lot of bad actors, bots, and people with too much time on their hands. At the least, Meta should endeavor to make sure the people responding are real by requiring proof of existence from multiple and provable sources.
drol...You can bet if it's coming from any algorithm from X if they're in cahoots then it's going to be manipulating the public and making money for the billionaires. Beware
andr...The decentralized crowd-sourced approach is not perfect, but is so much better than the centralized approach which we've seen governments all across the globe manipulate and used to censor. How this isn't clear to people shows how susceptible we are to propaganda and echo chambers. Free speech used to be a core tenant that liberals supported more than conservatives and now it's upside down. My mind is blown.
jllm...It’s a shame, but true,
into...Don’t trust Meta or Zuckerberg based on past experiences
alic...No I don't trust it specifically because it is Meta which is controlled by Mark Zuckerberg. Other fact-checking systems are not necessarily manipulated. This question could have been worded better.
mary...Stop by 4chan for a preview of how this will go
step...X is demonstrably suited to propaganda. There is no solution to the social media propaganda machine without informed users. Reddit is able to support nearly propaganda-free content because it's user base is seemingly more educated, on average, than Facebook/Insta's. This is coupled with aggressive moderation. The moment Reddit starts controlling its moderators, all bets are off as the informed will be silenced in favor of click baity propaganda. God help us all.
jess...Oh right lol. Algorithm from X. This is so dangerously stupid.
trag...A good idea in the wrong hands. I suspect this forum will be used to monitor what citizens are saying and identify those who do not support the current Rumpian regime
cica...According to old Zuckerfuck himself, we are in a new cultural moment. This guy can’t be trusted with anything. Just another oligarch.

Do you believe medical breakthroughs like this will significantly improve pancreatic cancer survival rates in the next decade?

  • 94% Yes, scientific progress is accelerating
  • 6% No, the disease is too complex to treat effectively

EmailComments
mhel...Trump's war against NIH will curtail advancements in all phases of cancer research.
jllm...It,s nice to see we all still believe in the scientific community, why don’t we vote that way.
henr...There's already a significant number of pancreatic cancer patients who are surviving way beyond the 4-6 months period of 40 years ago.
jimb...Yes the disease is complex but Trump wants fewer $ spent on research and scientists...slows progress
cica...Yes, things are getting better just as Trump and his thugs are cutting funding to research and all kinds of areas. Thanks, Maga.
rayd...Trump administration has cancelled all cancer research.
atli...Another reason to fund NIH research.
mjg....Mores research is needed. However I believe the Musk Trump administration will cut and slow down the vital research . This will slow down all the progress made over the last few decades . Our national and international collaborations work and now is in serious limbo.

Have you or someone you know taken finasteride or a similar hair loss medication?

  • 71% No
  • 29% Yes

EmailComments
atli...Concern over hair loss is a sign that you probably need mental health treatment more.
amy....Both my husband and I are on it. I have not noticed any side effects, my husband reports less sex drive but not substantial enough to come off the drug. People need to see real doctors and use regulated pharmacies and make educated decisions
padd...Had an adverse impact on erections and discontinued it
rlyn...yes. and didn't make the connection but I have been using it maybe for a year or so and have had many issues......mental not sexual related.... glad I saw this, stopping taking it. I have used it topical though, not oral.
jllm...Thought about it, not enough risk reward.
jodi...This person experienced sexual dysfunction
pric...Severely and negatively impacted my friend’s son. Should be banned!!!
ffkd...No to little side effects experienced
rose...My son has taken it for years. He has had some mental issues but I don't have any way of knowing whether they were connected to Propecia.
