pman...Free trade -
zack...Wait I can’t buy slave produced products while grandstanding about how important human rights are????
tahe...That high a tariff will have a huge negative impact on consumers!
atli...A trade war on solar panels is a war waged on the planet.
beve...ARE ALL COMPANIES INVESTIGATED- BOTH DOMESTIC & FOREIGN?? AT WHAT FREQUENCY?? IF THIS IS NORMAL PRACTICE FOR ALL BUSINESSES & COMPANIES E.G. REGULAR INVESTIGATIONS- & ALL ARE ON A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD- GREAT! ALL FOR IT!!! IF NOT- ITS BLATANT BIGOTRY- DISCRIMINATION & RACISM. WHAT ELSE??
cica...Investigating is always important and it’s important here. 3000% tariffs sound absolutely ridiculous. Of course what would you expect from this administration? They’re lazy and they go from one extreme to the other. If you have no idea what you’re doing just double and triple down on it. That’ll work.
aran...The Trump Administration is against innovation in the field of alternative energy sources, period. They could care less about ensuring fair competition. You don't re-energize industry at home by making materials way more expensive.
jllm...Sounds like a plan
andr...The notion that, in a global inflationary environment, American consumers are being flooded with goods that are "too cheap" is Orwellian at best. The Trump administration really seems to want to hike the price of goods everywhere and covet scarcity as fundamental good.
perm...There also needs to be transparency about the toxic components of solar panels. Perhaps not as environmentally friendly or conscious on a large residential scale as many think.
lcas...If foreign companies are inflating prices for low quality goods then an investigation is warranted.

Should the U.S. threaten tariffs to gain better access to India’s e-commerce market?

  • 58% No
  • 42% Yes

tomg...This administration is all about bullying and the world is saying enough
jllm...Have we lost all our negotiators to accomplish this without destroying our economy
serg...Tarrifs should be the same reciprocal rates
atli...Threats of tariffs are in themselves bullying, an unfair business practice.
arth...Once unfair trade practices are defined, and a policy is set for all, action has to be taken in accordance with that practice.
ebr....Americans pay tariffs, not the outside country. I don't understand why he thinks it's a bargaining chip.
lesl...The US is currently demanding the sale of TikTok because of Chinese ownership! Why should we punish other countries with tariffs if they won't let our greedy profit corporations in their markets?
beve...Tariffs are going to bite the USA in the A**!!!!!
vicc...There should be equity in global trade markets.
flem...Ethics, anyone?

Do you agree with Education Secretary Linda McMahon that taxpayers should not bear the burden of student loan defaults?

  • 77% Yes, taxpayers should be protected
  • 23% No, it's part of supporting education.

zack...I’m old enough to remember the “Biden” admin openly defying the Supreme Court when they ruled that “his” student loan forgiveness grift was unconstitutional.
sail...I have student loans and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to get my degree- I now use this degree to make more money than if I didn’t have it - I see student loans as an investment in future earnings so I’m frustrated by the notion that someone else should cover the cost of my advancement. Yes! Pay your debt and maybe some forward as well for the next guy!
dest...I paid my student loans back! And taxes! Financial aid for a portion is great but free education is an realistic and bad economic policy.
atli...If education were free to all, the many great minds among the financially less well off would not be wasted.
bfir...Support education, the more people educated the less stupid this country will become, just look at us now.
ruff...Education costs are astronomical. Students are bearing the brunt of corporate greed.
lbkd...The Universities and Colleges were the main beneficiaries.
tkmo...It’s fine to impose collections, but only if bankruptcy is allowed the borrowers
to55...Horrible policy , to punish young students who are trying to learn !
marc...Not only was this forgiveness program illegal it is unfair to all the people who did not go to college or have already paid back their student loans. There is not a logical argument for this forgiveness other than Dems were trying to buy votes. End of the day, if you borrowed the money you have to pay it back. Costs of secondary education needs to be looked at and most universities are to blame for the student loan problem, so let's look at the underlying problem and correct that.
mdev...They took out the loan. I repaid my student loan, sacrifices to going out to eat, not getting a new car to do. It teaches budgeting and accountability.
trag...As much as I want to be generous and help students alleviate some of their debt, I believe that if someone takes out a loan they are responsible for repaying it. Many taxpayers are paying off their own loans and shouldn’t shoulder the added burden of others who are having difficulty paying their loans. I think we need to look at establishing more low cost loans and a longer term payment plan that is more manageable
majo...Student loan program is structured as a boon to lenders, not really as an effective aid to students. Program is part of the government's retreat from supporting public goods and, more specifically, education.
mah3...Let’s not support students looking to better themselves but by all means let’s bail out big banks and now farmers who are impacted by the disastrous tariff “policies” created by the man they elected
aran...I don't think enough people understand how hamstrung our young people are by student loans. The current system of financing higher education is. The people don't want to support it despite the fact that in California it would only cost each taxpayer 64 cents a year to refund the UC system. Then tuition goes way up and the middle class can't afford to send their children to college anymore. Then their children take out loans and spend the rest of their lives paying them off. A college degree in any subject, including English (!!), remains one of the most reliable existing predictors of future economic success. But now the energy and enterprise of the young are in an economic vise, making it hard for them to innovate, support families (new people), buy homes or even pay rent in many places. These are YOUR children and it's YOUR economy that are in peril. I prefer to protect taxpayers through policies that enrich rather than impoverish. This country is getting poorer every day because taxpayers are ridden by the beast that tells them someone else is getting their stuff for free. They need to learn--perhaps some additional schooling--how to buck that beast and understand that vitality depends on long-term as well as short-term investment.
dism...Creating too many “snowflakes.” Pay your loans back…then perform conscriptual national service.
perm...The only reason to ever forgive a student debt would be upon the death of the actual student borrower.
bimm...I’m all for education but the individuals who took out the loans should be responsible for repayment, not the taxpayers. If they couldn’t repay they shouldn’t have borrowed.
dree...I paid for my education loans
husk...It should be no different than any other loan.
rose...The citizens of the US should not be financially liable for decisions made by others irresponsibly. Never buy what you cannot pay for is sensible financial planning.
area...Education is a basic human right that should be the responsibility of every country’s leadership.
cdru...U.S. taxpayers pay taxes on everything else, social security, welfare, war, etc., so education should be included.
jrv1...I paid for my children’s Education. If you don’t pay back, I have to question your moral values and also the quality of education you received.
tomg...Yes, taxpayers should not pay for student loans, but students should have a better and more affordable loan program
usct...We subsidize farmers, car manufacturers. We subsidize the wealthy. We should help these kids with college debt so they can become a part of our economic system. So they will be able to purchase homes, cars, and raise families. Biden was right to do what he could to eliminate college debt. It was an economic rebalancing.
miah...An Educated society benefits all of society. As is, 99.9% of my taxes currently go into the pockets of a select few and benefit no one.
walk...Why is this even a question? I have to pay my bills, good deal or bad deal. If someone is that bad off, then file bankruptcy. Needs to be a lesson learned, some education loans are a bad investment
rjna...Allowing forgiveness of these loans is setting a dangerous precedent to young people that there are no consequences or risks in accepting loans. I would imagine the banking, auto and mortgage industries have substantial interest in seeing the past trend of loan forgiveness reversed.
beve...That doesn’t mean taxpayers SHOULD NOT support education!! LACK of education has us where we are today!!
serg...Provide interest free collection
tere...Some kids go to schools they can afford, ie community college and then a state school. Some work part time and summerers. Thank being said some people were lied to about degrees, post college employment etc.
cica...It’s not either/or. This should be some relief. Especially if that relief means that people burden with student loan debt will be able to purchase a home which will then contribute to the economy and a positive way. Not sure what the interest rate on a student loan is, but it should be fairly negligible since we’re investing in our own future.
rgar...I am in my 70s. I never borrowed anything from anybody that I did not repay. We used student loans for a part of my oldest daughters education, we repaid it alll on time. The idea that people should get by without repaying their debt is rediculouse. There my be some circumstances that deserve review and refinance by the government at low rates. This was an attempt to purchase votes for the Libs and OBTW the courts told Biden he could not forgive loan debt and he ignored them. Another mess created by sleeoy joe that has to be cleaned up.
boge...STUDENT LOAN HOLDERS ARE TAX PAYERS
jllm...What’s wrong with this picture, a simple mortgage gauge is two and a half times the borrowing amount, why is it 5 to to times for a student loan
ehdt...The pause in payment should have been brief and for a very small number of people who were highly impacted. Repayment should have started years ago. Many taxpayers have already paid, or continue to pay their student loan debts or made arrangements for deferment or loan extensions when needed. Why should these taxpayers now also pay someone else's loans?

Do you agree that the potential savings advertised by Uber are misleading without clarifying the subscription fee?

  • 89% Yes, that’s definitely misleading to consumers.
  • 11% No, consumers should do their own math.

beve...Not an UBER fan- or any organization that puts profits over people.
lady...I applied to be a delivery driver, and once I found out that it would not be something I desired to do, they wouldn’t let me cancel my account and told me that I owed them money from deliveries when I never even started making deliveries.
juli...I was misled too. Are there any discussions about refunds to users for fraudulent charges?
jllm...Sounds like a money scam

Do you feel optimistic about the future of vision restoration therapies following this research?

  • 94% Yes, significant progress is being made
  • 6% No, I remain skeptical about outcomes

beve...As long as continued research is not blocked by the current administration- all types of solutions can be found if given the expertise- money- & time.
jllm...I hope the research isn’t being done at one of our prestigious universities because we’ll have to wait another four years before we can get the job done
trag...Scientific research continues to yield beneficial outcomes and could make significant findings in the area of vision restoration. However, the rampant bludgeoning of federal funds to universities and other research centers puts this research and others in jeopardy unless it is funded privately

Do you think CAR T-cell therapies will become the gold standard for cancer treatment in the next decade?

  • 84% Yes, they are the future
  • 16% No, other therapies will take precedence

EmailComments
jllm...Ask me again in 2028 maybe 2026 I hope
cb10...If trump is allowed to continue on his path of destruction, all research will be halted, nothing will be the "gold standard". Shame on him and those who are enabling him.
