Just facts, you think for yourself

Do you think enough is being done to address the issue of mental health in society?

  • 95% No, more action is required
  • 5% Yes, there are sufficient initiatives

EmailComments
dsde...I think Our society is breaking down because individuals and families are breaking down. We need a ground to approach that invests in families and their mental health and wellbeing. People are really hurting.
atli...Tragedies will continue as more money shifts to the rich and to wage war and from services that benefit society and the many.
apac...For to many years the mentally ill have been released into the public left to defend on their own, where they don’t or won’t take their meds to stay on track or if left to their own devices just can’t. Going unchecked because of their mental illness “rights” 30 ppl suffer their consequence and the 30ppl families and friends suffer now as well and the long term effects of PTSD can be years for several of them. Do the math on how many were effected by one person
djpe...our government's have failed to address this problem for many yers now. They rather put the unfortunate that have mental issues on the street then safeguard the public they are supposte to be working for. screwed up world for sure/
lyne...There is lack of understanding and maturity ch needed treatment for mental health. No wonder we have so many homeless, these people are not capable of working.
vedi...So much blame on mental health . Yes root cause of ALL the problems is mental health.
tamm...Helping people with mental illness helps us all.
scot...There are so many more services needed for mental health. We should be talking more about mental health coping skills in schools. We should also be funding more programs for this. I believe we live in a society that fosters these problems also- that capitalism and social media are large contributors.
nanc...We were starting to address this huge problem, but now have done an about face. This administration seems to be against anything health or science related.
jvsr...Additional resources are desperately needed. It should also include long term capabilities built in to address housing & professional treatment.
cbal...Mental Illness is something not even the military wants to deal with.my brother served in the US Navy, after his mental illness came out he was immediately discharged. He was given an honorable discharge under General conditions. He was to be later diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia with illusions of Grandeur!! RIP BIG BRO I LOVE YOU🥲
2nur...The homelessness in USA and Canada are certainly related to the mental health issue
koze...Mental health issue are behind most mass tragedy incidents like this. We have to have people secured until they are well. There must be some method of red flagging these individuals. Multiple encounters with the police over mental health issues would certainly be one of them.
mdul...There is always more that can be done but the core problem has been more that people with mental health issues don't always want to seek or continue treatment.
bede...More intervention is needed with children in schools. Guns need to be monitored as in countries with few murders.
bmol...Family is crucial and needs to be part of the American society. You can't just depend on the government to solve mental issues. Accountability should start from home - complete sets of parents, who give time for their children; involvement of extended families (e.g. grandparents, aunts, uncles).
rmac...We need to lock these people up in mental hospitals
cdru...Faith integration is making a slow mark in the field and because spirituality can’t be measured, insurance does not want to pay. If Jesus Christ, the creator of all souls was invited in the counseling session, no doubt, mental illness would quickly decline. Of course, people would have a choice whether they want to establish a relationship with Christ, and those would be the ones totally transformed.
stev...…..low cost or free mental health clinics are badly needed all over the U.S…
seta...Mor hospital beds and assisted living situations are needed for people who aren’t manage h on their own.
mary...You can lead a horse to water….
cour...A “vehicle” didn’t ram into people, a person in a vehicle ran into people. Just like a gun doesn't kill someone - a person using a gun kills someone.
kbki...Our medical system does not support medical treatments for mental health recovery and the drugs that mediate the symptoms are cost prohibitive.
karm...How is that not deemed terrorism when it was an intentional act on a group of innocent people? Mental Health or not, actions should have consequences.
opti...the number of people killed and injured by the mentally ill driver proves that not enough was done to screen him or maintain him in treatment.
mark...These people need help and they are not getting it. More money is needed for this cause.
ctmy...There are so many hurting, anxious and mentally ill people who need to have the Lord in their lives.
jllm...Road rage is a mental problem, how many of us have that, let’s address it, solve it, move on
kata...I feel very bad for mentally ill It is not their fault that they carried that illness at the same time I don’t like innocent people to lose their lives
jhen...I've provided mental and behavioral health clinical services since 1976 and the nation and it's government have always devalued these services and for ALL ages of patient recipients.
ypsi...The Republicans defunded mental health programs. Ronald Reagan naively believed that families and local communities (churches) would be better suited to help mental health patients and the homeless.
jamf...This is MORE than mental health! It's a loss of family structure, loss of spirituality, loss in value of; and the miracle that is human life. It is a societal sickness...not just this individual.
msme...And I believe this needs to be combined with our food habits and looked at broadly.
tom....Well meaning activists have ELIMINATED beds for mentally ill over the past decades. There are no State Hospitals for the mentally ill anymore. Beds IMO cannot be increased by capitalism, mental illness does lend itself to a profit driven McDonalds model. I speak from experience, my middle son was severely autistic and was taken by the CV19.

Should the U.S. maintain restrictions on semiconductor exports to companies like Huawei?

  • 76% Yes, for national security reasons
  • 24% No, it hinders innovation and competition

EmailComments
geor...I am not sure stopping restrictions on semiconductor exports will affect companies like Huawei, but it might stall them a bit and give US companies a chance to be competitive so we don't have to rely on China for our security.
jllm...Yes or no answer is not applicable here, the slow exports of certain chips, which keeps the company highly profitable while innovating newer ones seems to be the way to go
atli... Only cooperation over competition will save the world.
sere...CCP doesn’t need our help. We need but don’t get their help or resources.
brod...Chinese companies like Huawei are tools of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Communist Party, whose ambition is world domination. Don’t let’s help them.

Will the current cost-cutting trend lead to greater efficiency or a decline in corporate competitiveness?

  • 55% Decline in competitiveness
  • 45% Greater efficiency

EmailComments
elin...Both
nanc...It’s hard to compete in this climate, when the future is so uncertain.
mary...But President Trump just posted on Truth Social: “massive numbers of jobs are already being created, with new plants and factories currently being built or planned.” What explains this disconnect?
dsny...Cost cutting at business will be due to reduce the increase cost due to tariffs, not due to increase productivity or technology advancement.
kbki...The current chaos drives companies to short term goals rather than long term profitability.
cica...Corporations are basically pulling everything in tight and hunkering down for 4 more years of crazy. There’s a delusional psychopath in charge
jllm...It must be very difficult for some people to move forward always seem so safe to just stay at home with the covers. Pull up in your head.
geor...Companies who are reducing their plans to expand can't take a chance on what is going to happen in the marketplace due to crazy tariff exploitation. When there is no plan or the plan changes from hour to hour, companies have no choice but to hold off until they know what is happening market wise.
jlcg...Both.depending of how long uncertainty will prevail.
atli...A decline in US corporate competiveness can't happen fast enough to benefit the 95% of the rest of the world.

Do you believe that the shift to natural dyes will ultimately improve food safety?

  • 82% Yes, it’s a necessary step for consumer health
  • 18% No, it may not significantly change safety standards

EmailComments
tubi...no doubt about it.
kear...Banning petroleum based dyes should have happened decades ago.
luis...Why did we as a society ever think it was okay to allow *petroleum byproducts* into our foods?? Worse yet to feed this to generations of children for their whole lives?? It is horrifyingly difficult to eat to eat a truly healthy, real, non-toxic diet in the USA today
juli...Food dyes are a small problem. This is a smoke in mirror's distraction. It is our overconsumption of food energy in the form of excessive fat, sugar, and sodium as well as sedentary behaviors that make up the vast majority of our problems today. We need to pay more attention to the elephant in the room.
erni...It’s ONE step in the right direction.
koze...I hope it is a first step.
atli...Even fools like RFK, Jr can do something right 1% of the time.
geor...Not sure if makng these changes in food dyes will make a difference, but I believe it can't hurt while the artificial dyes may be harmful.
jlcg... Only marginnally.compared to a well regulated (i.e.formal authorisation after extensive testing) regime. Strictly enforcing hygien norms in processing is much more important.
nord...absolutely, if it is made with natural dyes, our bodies usually tolerate them. Made with petroleum is not good for our bodies! Common sense. Other countries use natural. Just get our food healthy again!
yell...It’s way overdue
nanc...Long overdue!
kale...I was truly shocked to learn that many foreign countries have banned the dyes from foods sold in their countries, the same foods sold here with the dyes and loads of other chemicals. Why did we allow this??? I’m thrilled the food industry is being called out to right this wrong!
boos...More people are dying from mental health issues than food dyes in there food
jllm...Will someone please keep us safe
rgar...You missed by blaiming RKK Jr. for an action. You should have blaimed the food industrys for putting petrolium in our food. If they could prove it was not a health issue they would be fighting to continue to use them. We should all be thanking RFK Jr. for his initiative to improve our food supply.

Do you believe that the potential benefits of ashwagandha outweigh its risks?

  • 68% Yes, benefits outweigh risks
  • 32% No, risks outweigh benefits

EmailComments
jllm...Just another pill to take
geor...Yes we should keep testing ashwagandha, if the test results over time show the benefits are much higher than the risks, then it is a definite go! But with Kennedy at the head of our entire health system, I would want to make sure the real professionals approve of ashwagandha.
coal...More research on side effects is needed
glos...Reducing cortisol levels is central to many health issues and could reduce inflammation from autoimmune diseases
chuc...I tried it with magnesium and my side effect was so severe. I could not breathe, I was crying to get air. I had magnesium citrates before on its own that was no problem at all. But this particular vitamins has magnesium with Ashwagandha for better sleep was not suitable for me. I almost end up in the hospital. So I couldn’t outweigh the risks.
