Individual taxpayers provide more than half of the federal taxes collected. 2/3 of corporations pay no taxes. Corporations are not people (not matter what the US Supreme Court believes). Individuals don't have a voice in our federal government. That is taxation without representation, which was the main trigger for the Declaration of Independence.

bish...Its usually only for the Christmas lists the kids have given us, or for hard to find appliance fixes (water filters, heating element, or dishwasher rack replacement part). I miss our local Sears and thriving Mall, it was more entertaining than opening my laptop and hitting the purchase button to make these same purchases.

akyg...I’m in a smaller town. It is more difficult to shop local for many items. Now this wasn’t the case prior to the Big Box store and Amazon. I hope with all those profits, Amazon is paying its workers a fair living wage and paying its fair share of taxes.

dd.b...I compare prices, delivery costs, delivery time and quality of items for purchase between other stores before buying almost anything. Amazon usually comes out on top for all categories I consider! Delivery time is probably my 1st consideration. Prime one-two day delivery just can't be beat! I also love Prime return policy on most items. Then where I live I can return items to a local store that does the return packaging for me! Amazon Prime does it all, is why I shop Amazon regularly!

dian...So far, the Big Bang theory seems to explain most of the phenomena about which we have information. However, if in the future, additional information suggests that another theory is a better explanation, then it would certainly be logical and rational to update our theory about the Big Bang creation of the universe.
dd.b...Actually the jury's out for me. I did believe 100% that the universe was created by God. But I've had some experiences in my later life that has my religious beliefs challenged.
