mdul...I think one thing that both Democrats and Republicans can agree on is that Trump can and will change any deal and its rules at any time when he thinks it is helpful to him. He claimed credit for what he then called "perhaps the greatest trade deal in history" when he renamed the NAFTA to the USMCA. Since taking office, he has targeted both of his North American partners in sync with him passing whim of the day, despite the history and the trade deals. That is not lost on the other world leaders. They recognize that high praise and pageantry are the way to get Trump on board and they are simply stringing out any implementations to see what happens in the midterms.

I'd rather have people working to eliminate these people who are confirmed traffickers (unless you are implying they are not) than have thr drugs land in this country, perpetuating crime and killing our kids. mdul...MAGA supporters believe whatever Trump says so they firmly believe that the occupants on these boats are carrying drugs that mean 25,000 American lives will be lost for each boat that gets to the US. In light of that belief, they are fine with any action Trump takes, no matter the international consequences. Democrats and Independents want proof and accountability, the two things that Trump never wants to allow into the discussion. Lethal force is clearly illegal and unjustified in these cases but it is not the pertinent issue. Here, as in most of his policies, Trump does that he wants without any fear of being held accountable or being dissuaded.

beck...Start here but I want the illegals to have a path to becoming legal. They need to pay into our system to get health care, medical care and other benefits. They need a drivers license. However, as of the latest reporting (July-2025) over 93% of those booked into detention were never convicted of a violent offense. Additionally, in a separate report, among detainees held at 201 ICE facilities, 84% were assigned no “threat level” by ICE (which corresponds to no or very low risk of violent crime) and this is even with the bias their leadership has brought to make it appear as though they are succeeding with violent criminals. So, although the mission should be to focus primarily on undocumented immigrants with criminal records, that has not been the case and digging deeper into the world of immigrants, the percentage detained with criminal records is likely to reduce even further.

There are millions that enterred under Biden that are draining the tax payers dollars and overloading our medical systems. That one act alone means they don’t respect our laws and are willing to break laws. Those are not the kind of people we want coming to our country.
