schl...Trump is an idiot
lyde...His "policy" - if you can call his whim of the day approach a policy - has ruined our international standing and damaged our relationship not just with China but all countries, allies and foes alike.
grac...The tariff rhetoric supported insider trading for the chief felon and friends but not the US economy. China has found other trade partners and had the last laugh.
kold...The are in no hurry to go back n some Of the damage will be permanent
chiu...A great deal will be made. Everyone agrees.
aldo...Absolutely idiotic and nonproductive. A true reflection of the incompetence of this administration.
ende...He is no negotiator
jllm...He thinks this passive aggressive philosophy works on the big boys, they play but their laughing
prab...Trump is not a negotiator he thinks bullying is the way to negotiate
pfor...Diaper Don is way out of his league with China. The Orangeman brought a knife to a gunfight.
paul...Trump simply doesn't know how to negotiate at this level. After all this bluster and false bravado, he has shown his true nature which is laughable. No world leaders will now take him seriously.
pjsm...The king of bankruptcies should not be allowed further grifting with any other nations.
flem...Trump has a falsely elevated sense of his influence on China.
kent...He is simply not smart enough to assess how to handle a very complex situation. Posturing and bullying are so much easier.
joem...The only idiot in the last 100 years to deliberately destroy the greatest economy on the planet and hurt the people he is responsible to safeguard.
jena...Pure insanity
aldi...We need China to respect the U. S. and not keep getting their way, spying buying land near our military bases ect.
anne...If the outcome is positive, it won’t have anything to do with Trump.
conn...Having recently visited Victoria BC this month it is evident that other countries view the US government under Trump as unstable, incompetent and unreliable. Even though he was not the person I personally voted for, the world views all Americans as ineffectual and powerless to govern their own country and harmful to the peace and stability of the world. US appears as a dictatorship run by a team of rich and ignorant incompetents with uneducated Americans supporting such a system.
cyou...Fucking moron for a President
tere...He gambled and lost our money, prestige and future trustworthiness.
shas...That man is only worried about lining his pockets and creating chaos and misery and trying to punish people who don’t like him or his evil destructive policies and ways
juan...I believe China is our sworn enemy and as such should be considered
atli...China seems to have an interest in collaboration and partnership that benefits both countries and the world. Trump's interest is in domination. A regrettably incompatible combination.
alyk...It's a an embarrassing shit show that will be a stain on America for generations.
kcme...He is doing a great job 😁👍
skif...I think Xiu is letting Trump spin out of control without having to do anything. He is negotiating with himself. Negotiating through social media isn’t negotiating.
bret...Trump killed the relationship. He may repair it but as of now it is broken
jonh...Trump burned it to the ground hurting Americans and Chinese. The Chinese will seek better trade relations with everyone but America to America's detriment.
kris...Trump is a con-man! But in this case he did what he said he was going to do. People were just not educated enough to know the consequences.
alto...The beautiful tariffs have done nothing but cause job losses and higher prices. Why would China throw the US a lifeline?
jbuf...China has been taking advantage of not caring about international laws and regulations for a very long time now. Trump may not have the best answers, but at least he is trying something new in order to promote change better trade deals for the US
gray...I hope that the us president gets his head out of his ass and stops playing games, and bulling other countries to make a better deal with china’s leaders. Therefore I’m optimistic that things will change.
ssba...Trump wants it one-sided in US favor and completing a successful negotiation will be delayed.
mdul...There are few instances where it is beneficial to be the least intelligent person in the room. When considered within the cohort of world political leaders, Trump is. perforce, the least intelligent person in each discussion involving global politics and economics with the others in his cohort. Additionally, his whimsical and chaotic positioning makes dealing with him a negative and President Xi seems to have the full measure of Trump.
wbru...I pray he knows what he’s doing. The American people aren’t very patient. He needs our support on this one.
boeh...Because ANYTHING involving Trump is a high potential dumpster fire.
zack...Orange Man BAD! Meanwhile in actual reality…Trump admin is forcing Industry back into the U.S. We can no longer be dependent on a communist state that uses slave labor among many other practices that are illegal in civilized countries. Did you people not learn anything during Covid??? Both Republicans and Dems ruined the middle class and sold out our country over the last 40 years. Time to bring it back! Oh I forget, everything the orange man does is bad. Gonna be fun watching the TDS people in a couple years when we are booming again. You don’t have to like Trump…but it’s time to WAKE UP
avaa...He should be deported he's a convicted felon and it's too late he's already done global damage with tariffs
andr...It's obvious that he's trying to decouple from China.
chri...We can't win by making the same mistakes in industrial policy and state control of the economy as the Communist Chinese.
mike...Trump is a MORON Orange Dictator!!
dpit...Trump doesn't know what he's doing.
jmbe...Just look at the damage Trump has already done, and China's unwillingness to give in to his bullying. It's going to be a long 4 years!
rpik...Trump is a poor negotiator. A more subtle well planned process works better with the Chinese. The collatoral damage from his bombastic approach is really not smart.
sy_o...Change is uncertain for every country involved however this has to have a great outcome for U S from nothing to something Financially is a win it will have some hangups but in a short time we will see favorable results sy
jean...Problem caused totally by Trump. He will blink first .
elgo...Too much too soon & way too disorganized.
barr...The American economy was growing until Trump was elected. This trade war with China is hurting Americans and destroying our Global alliances.
tuli...Trumps tariffs are helping China build trade relationships with people who used to be our reliable allies….sheer stupidity
mhey...China will call Trump's Bluffs.
garl...As a nation, we seem to be governed by the Junior Varsity or worse. I have more faith in other leaders than our own for intelligence and ability to navigate global policy issues.
gibl...If tariffs are bad, then why does China charge them on us. They could greatly reduce them on us and we’d reduce for them. They are not our friends and we have lost our Mfg jobs to them for cheap Temu crap. On top of that hundreds of thousands oh US citizens have died from fentanyl that comes from China. They need us more than we need them.
chri...trump is to much of a bully
matt...Stupidity sums it up
jjpl...He never had a chance of beating the Chinese. They know how to deal with petty dictators. And they have been in international trade far longer than Americans and play it better.
dean...He has completely botched the tariffs.
mend...China is a bad player but they will continue to play so best to figure out a way to play together. It’s require friends everywhere so probably should stop making enemies out of friends.
csur...i'm optimistic this administration is re-negotiating the terms of international trade for US domestic businesses. Multi-national conglomerates can suck it.
barb...He’s a hot headed mercurial guy - a temperament not suited for Foreign nor Domestic policies.
tubi...while needed, it was poorly implemented, then unexplicably "nerf'd" for a privileged few. also, his gloating and bombastic exaggerations adds to the confusion about the intentions and how it will or will not benefit. no plan whatsoever.
hhau...There will not be any meaningful agreement while Trump is president.
1212...This president is totally inept and is trying to ruin our lives, our global relationships, culture and 401K's! This is a president that cheats at golf, abuses women and and is trying to rip apart the fabric of our society that was originally based upon immigration and diversity. History will measure this autocratic ruler as the worse and most destructive leader of the western world.
come...Tariffs are bad. Competition is good.
fore...He’s an economic idiot. China will bury us by calling in the 800 billion loan.
dja....Who can predict? This whole process has been chaotic and lacking even the slightest indication of an "end game".
cedr...He is destroying our relationships with friends in the theater further reducing our influence and power.
robs...The Chinese government has an extraordinary track record of deception and deceit! Authentic relationships require trust, and the Chinese are untrustworthy!
deb_...He is too arrogant with leaders and I don't have confidence in his negotiations.
nanc...Trump is on Mars. He is viewed as an idiot by Xi and Putin, but considers them friends.
rjna...Eventually agreements will be made but Trump has made worse (rather than improve) the relationship between our countries that will take years to repair. And Trump’s tactics will have a negative impact China’s interest in future dialog on a host of non trade issues such as Taiwan, technology and medical research.
lpa1...China will hold out for longer.
sfpo...China is not talking about Trump negotiating against himself.
davi...Things will improve. To continue down the wrong path is insanity
just...This is so biased
went...Trump is embarrassing us with his tactics amd loose cannon Pilicies. He turns Gold to shit.
hsea...Fair is fair. We need fair. For years it has been unfair. Do want needs to be done for the US to be respected and not pay countries off to be out friends.
cica...This entire administration’s tenure will end badly for all of us, except possibly its primary author. Of course that’s the way it was always going to be. 49.3% of the American people knew that going in. I’m not sure what to make of the rest of us.
agba...This is an absolute economic disaster. Many small business owners and farmers will go under, losing their livelihood.

Is the U.S. government's intervention in Google's advertising business justified?

  • 74% Yes, it's necessary to ensure fairness
  • 26% No, government should not interfere in business practices

EmailComments
elgo...We are not supposed to be living in an oligarchy. Even the playing field.
jllm...Do you really think this government understands any business practices, they’ve fired the smart people and hired the interns for less money, should go well
cica...This country did quite well from the inception of the Sherman antitrust act onward. We’ve gotten away from that.
jbuf...Monopolies suck!
wbru...Checks and balances are necessary.
zack...Monopolies are still illegal last time I checked
atli...And if Google can be broken up, then the U.S. should next address the Amazon monopoly.
jjpl...Pure capitalism is inherently unfair and leads to abuses and to wild swings in an economy. The role of government is to temper the wild swings, to protect the public, without unnecessarily impeding the growth of business.
chri...this is why we had national trade agreement so no company can become an monopoly.
ken....Antitrust laws have been passed more than 100 years ago in the US to address monopolistic abuses by the Sugar, railroad and petroleum industries among others. They still have a rightful place today.
fitm...Shouldn’t innovation be rewarded? If a company develops systems that are better than anyone else’s shouldn’t they reap the benefits?
rbda...The market will play out as it should. There are always disruptors that will upset every industry, no matter the curren tleader
jste...Capitalism requires the government to intervene in monopolies and price fixing so we get the benefits of supply and demand.
mary...Yes, in the spirit of Trust Bustin’ Teddy Roosevelt!
csur...The advertising dominance of Facebook and Google duopoly reinforces the global power and technological reach of U.S. companies. It also poses serious threats to marketplace price discovery, competitive alternatives, small business sustainability, and marketing innovation. With so few cost effective platforms available, businesses face limited choices and rising costs—conditions that will hinder long-term creativity and growth. Addressing the imbalance is both a critical challenge and one that can't be fixed by addressing Google alone.
brod...The federal government is the only thing between corporations and our throats.
went...I wish congress would stop Trump from becoming a dictator
srcl...I would only say no because of the current administration...I wouldn't want them interfering in my business.

What is more relevant for the economy right now. Steady labor market stability or declining housing starts?

  • 80% Steady labor market stability
  • 20% Declining housing starts

EmailComments
jllm...The labor market was stable due to build back better, unfortunately with stronger employment comes higher wages which the (this student economic failure) believes caused inflation, although transitory, never had a chance to come under control, enter DICKHEAD,25% 401 gone, unemployment will rise prices will increase, inflation, stagflation, 25% more gone, the sky is failing the sky is failing.
emyo...The impacts of declining housing starts have yet to show up in the labor market numbers. They will.
lyde...We need people to be able to work, especially in the face of rising costs of just about everything due to the tariffs. Housing starts are a key economic indicator, but people need to buy food and clothing first.
zack...Labor market are about to boom too!!!
flat...I didnt send feedback must have hit something by mistake
elgo...People need stable jobs to buy homes.
cica...Yes, as long as you have at least two jobs or one job working overtime you can keep up with rising inflation brought on by this administration’s chaos.
stev...Fed can’t even begin thinking of cutting rates in an inflationary environment with a stable employment market.
erwi...These stats are based on the last 2 quarter momentum where contacts and projects have alredy in place. Wait for another 2 quarters before you see the real economic situation. It's not going to be good.
jbuf...More people working means more people can afford homes
come...Wiping out trillions of dollars of value cans ever be good

Do you believe that the shooter’s familial connection to law enforcement affects public perception of the incident?

  • 61% No, the focus should be solely on the act itself.
  • 39% Yes, it changes how people view the situation.

EmailComments
chri...The act itself is what matters. However, the question of how a third party was able to access the service weapon does need to be addressed.
jbuf...I don’t think that it should, but I believe that it does.
tubi...not sure how legislation could have fixed this. this is part domestic issue and part social issue. IMO, we've taken away teaching the skill of parenting from the education system and left it to parents, who probably werent taught well enough themselves. and while not every kid will need the guidance, some will.
emyo...The shooter used a weapon he would not have had access to and was shot but not killed by police. Impossible to not wonder why.
erwi...No irregardless of how many die from violent shooting or even if it involves mass shooting of children, the laws on gun control will never change with the Republicans and NRA in power.
bren...As a gun owner and so.eone who is Pro gun rights. Yes, it does change the public perception when you not only give the shooters name but also their family background as well. STOP SHARING THE SHOOTERS NAME AND STORY. IT ALLOWS SOCIETY TO BECOME COPACITIC OR IN SOME CASES SYMPATHIZE WITH THE SHOOTER OVER THEOR BACKGROUND!
nanc...It’s all part of the pro-gun climate, sadly.
atli...Law enforcement gun owners can be just as irresponsible in their management of fire arms as the average gun owner. All parents should be held responsible for the criminal use of their weapons by their children or by any other person who has access to the unprotected weapon whether that person is a child or another adult.
whig...Your options are asymmetrical. The first asks if it actually changes perception, and the second asks if it shouldn't change perception. Both can be true.
jenn...These questions are not mutually exclusive. You can both feel that the law enforcement connection WILL change how the situation is viewed AND that it shouldn't. Since republicans regularly argue that more guns in the hands of lawful trained citizens will make us safer, this situation does run counter to that. More guns means more uncontrolled access to more people no matter what.
jllm...Take some responsibility for his upbringing

Do you believe that the advancement of CO2 to CO conversion technology will significantly impact climate change?

  • 63% Yes, it’s a game changer
  • 37% No, it won’t make a difference.

EmailComments
atli...While this may offer a small benefit to the war on climate change with considerable additional investment, there are already inexpensive solutions that we just simply need to implement.
cica...I don’t know if it’s a game changer yet but it’s worth a shot, right ?
chiu...Climate change is a natural phenomenon and can not be changed by man
lyde...Its expensive but we need to start somewhere or we should look for another planet.
zack...The climate will continue to change. Pretending politicians can stop is completely asinine!!! You people got played…again lol
cedr...But we need to look at the complete cycle cost which includes manufacturing of the catalyst, transport, etc.
chri...While the technology may change things, the climate has already been altered. Remediation is now more important than niche CO2 reductions.
jllm...Sounds like it, but its something we wouldn’t have developed because we won’t support research done by the best and brightest at our colleges because we don’t support them
lesa...Maybe. The technology would have to be used globally. And what are the byproducts of this process? I’d like more info.
trdy...Well it’s a good start, and with further research in that and other areas there should be some differences. We have to do something about global warming.
come...I could be right or I could be wrong. But why take the risk?
jbuf...Plant more trees. Trees need CO2. Trees make O2. Climate change happens regardless of human intervention. We should not pollute and we should take care of Mother Earth. But climate change happened regardless of what we do. Ice ages and periods of global warming have been happening for millions and billions of years. Humans are full of themselves to think we can control as much as many of us believe that we can.

Do you believe that the advancements in PROTACs will lead to significant improvements in cancer treatment?

  • 64% Yes, it’s a game changer
  • 22% No, too early to tell
  • 14% Unsure

EmailComments
atli...All promising research should be pursued. But unfortunately the current administration is more interested in subsidies for the rich than for scientific research.
jllm...I know we have to be careful and the timeline always seams to long but I am totally optimistic
jbuf...I’m not a scientist and have no clue. But anything that may kick cancers ass is worth looking into in my opinion.
cica...As with the previous question, I don’t know if it’s a game changer yet, but it’s definitely worth a shot, right?
husk... That’s one of the very reasons we shouldn’t be defunding universities.
lesa...I wouldn’t say no, but it is too early to tell. I hope the funding for cancer research can be restored.
flem...Trump will pull funding for the research before it gets off the ground.
