over...Either they are our allies or they are not. They are the victim of Russian aggression and if we want to maintain our position of power in the world people have to be able to trust and rely on us. Great power comes with great responsibility.
dbmj...Were no longer dependable, or trustworthy to our allies in the world. The actions we're using are an abuse of power, defy the constitution, we're becoming split from within our own population, and isolated from our allies. You can't have a democracy by using authoritarian measures. There's no consideration of the lives being lost by suspending aid to Ukraine. Does anyone remember the atrocities committed to all the innocent people who were raped, tortured and murdered in the beginning of the war?
bcon...The problem with behaving like a bully is, there will someday be a bigger bully.
mkot...US resumed aid way too early - why did resume supplying weapons to Ukraine if they want peace? Resuming the supply of weapons leads to more WAR not peace!
batj...The US has lost so much goodwill in the past few weeks. I doubt it will ever recover. Everyone will just look elsewhere for partnerships. Even China seems to be a better proposition. They aren’t unhinged.
cica...Trump’s destroying our credibility along with our economy. I’m wondering if he’s the Manchurian candidate? Certainly seems like it.
ehde...Everything Trump does weakens U.S. credibility. He is a disgrace to the country. He always try’s to be so high on honoring our military men and women while being a draft dodger himself. Can’t understand how people think he’s great. He’s destroying the country and everyone stands around praising him for doing it.
akyg...Ukraine did not start this war! Ukraine is not the aggressor! US promised to protect Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine giving up nuclear weapons. And this is how Trump treats US friends & allies?
sche...Should have never suspended it to begin with.
mich...Trump is a knob
pvol...It’s a typical Trump negotiating tool. He is the ultimate negotiator! The first rule is to have something the other party wants.
mich...It makes us look fickle and unreliable, and is a strong-arm tactic, not one of actual diplomacy. I don’t see any parallel threats being made to Russia!
step...The additional Ukrainian deaths during the suspension are on Trump's head.
jfli...Continue to support but get Russia and Ukraine together for talks.
chri...It should have never been suspended in the first place. Ukraine is an ally. We need to act like they are an ally.
paul...You cannot trust the Orange Baffoon. Something will go wrong as usual.
jton...Every ally must now wonder if the United States is a dependable partner when military support is needed. This stain on our reputation as a supporter of democracy will never go away.
tubi...for better or worse, the US made an agreement and dump reneged.
jimb...Russia is the enemy, why punish Ukraine?
mark...100% disagree, we suck! You do not do this to an ally, a friend that is a photo of Russia. It makes you feel like it’s time to a100% disagree, we suck! You do not do this to a ally, a friend that is a photo of Russia. It makes you feel like it’s time to abandon ship because it appears that the captain has already gone.
tlpo...Donald Trump is destroying our relationships with Allies and our National security. We need to get new leadership.
kold...It kills people. And it ignites the fascist Putin.
petr...This action creates a message that the US supports dictators to attack nations for no reason
kimk...Thankfully, Trump and Vance were not at the latest talks. They worry too much about their own egos and how they look on TV instead of what is good for the free world.
lynd...US credibility that fuels an unwinnable war is NOT credibility... it is simply a way for us to feel better about ourselves and our blessings. "Look how we help, aren't we good people!" But it's not actual help. It's not enough to win, and not too little to force negotiations so instead thousands of people keep dying. for what? Our reputation?
jodu...We betrayed Ukraine and should resume supporting them to the maximum effort.
juli...Trump is helping Russia
agsh...Putin will nOT negotiate. On the other hand, we do not have any kidea where themoneuy given Zelensky went or how spent.
lqbh...Would just be happy with an ethical human being in office
kexe...US actions appear to be heavy-handed toward Ukraine as if they are the aggressors in this conflict. We are not showing strength toward Russia, but deference. Russia has had three years to impose its will on Ukraine and they have only succeeded in proving that they have an inferior military.
dmlr...We don’t have enough information to judge the tactic
zeus...That shouldn’t make us look weak. It shows that we’re trying to negotiate that we’re willing to help. Why should we be given aid spending our money and they’re doing what they want with our money. They’re trying to find a solution. We’re trying to help, to stop the killing
char...Trump is too volatile and is beginning to act like Putin and Xi; maybe he thinks the posturing serves as a warning to them but it does not help global relations at all. We will eventually need other countries, and there is a middle ground where the US is not a doormat or a bully.
dewa...We should never have suspended aid to begin with
jlra...Aid to Ukraine should never be stopped even if for a short time. The only pressure should be on Russia. They invaded Ukraine and need to be punished.
lbkd...It means nothing unless and until Russia agrees to negotiate.
clos...Don’t agree with the suspension at all, glad the aid resumed
swjo...Isolationism leads to bigger wars. Woodrow Wilson and FDR both sat back and watched as the world went to war, both promised to keep us out and both lived to see World Wars. We need to support Ukraine. Giving someone else's property (country) to a bully only encourages the bully to try to grab more.
mary...It makes us look petulant and vindictive
amay...Ukraine is not the problem in these efforts to create a ceasefire. Russia is the one who needs to agree to a ceasefire. Unfortunately, right now, there is no incentive to do so.
ajs0...Wrong way to apply pressure as we now have Ukrainian blood on our hands.
msol...Allies can't trust the US when aid is given and taken away at a whim
twin...Russia is not going to stop. They are ruthless in attacking ukraine! Russia is not our friend!
geor...I think Putin, Rubio, and trump are playing Zelenskyy but he has no choice but to play along. I have no confidence this will end well.
jamf...Critically important negotiations going on with Ukraine. A mineral's deal will benefit all parties. President Trump is a skilled negotiator and world leaders are aware of this...
iris...should not resume AID. just end this war
dawn...If you don’t get a ceasefire agreement from both sides then what are we doing here. It makes no sense. Timing is key so maybe there is a plan that’s not readily apparent yet.
revl...The US should support freedom, global democracy and prioritize our relationships with allies. Pulling back on support of Ukraine is shortsighted and arrogant in the long run.
crae...It pressures all countries to make a Cease fire work between Ukraine & Russia! And sends a message… America Wants World Peace !
mah3...We made a commitment when Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons to provide them security. Reneging means the word of the US has no credibility. Also, supporting Ukraine, who Russia attacked, is the right thing to do, but doing the right thing isn’t what drives this administration.
scoo...Wtf??? We blackmail our allies and pit them in to week position to help russian? Wtf happened to usa, pathetic idiots in charge.
wetm...It makes us a bad friend.
psat...Whatever it takes to end the war. People need to get past their hate and let the president do his job.
clrh...it was a vindictive, cruel, disgraceful action
ebr....I'm disgusted by the Trump administration, as per usual.
jwtu...We have to do what’s right for America first. It was the right decision at the time
apet...The White House rift was should not have occured. It is usually just a press show after everything has already been agreed to and buttoned up. To retaliate the way that was done I believe cost lives and was beyond what was necessary. The recovery of the peace negations however is a very good thing. Let’s see if the President put enough pressure on Russia with the sanctions or the threat of them to have them accept the terms.
kc37...It shows that we hold true to our word.
andr...Amazing how the parties have switched. Neo cons have infiltrated the Dems.
ned....The burden of negotiation should not be placed on the invaded sovereign nation.
john...Trump is all in with Russia.
mgre...War sucks! MAGA-ts are disgraceful and despicable for their siding with putin. We’re doomed!
jrv1...Stay strong
msin...We do need to keep a tight reign on our money but sudden nervous and jerky diplomacy is not the way to do it.
judy...I don’t agree with DT’s cruelty first approach. Ukraine deserves better.
fcse...As Rubio says, “the ball is in Russia’s court.” We’ll see how interested in peace Russia is.
jane...It makes us an untrustworthy ally
cmes...PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE PEACE. If you put Americans there to do mining, Putin will not kill them, he will be reluctant to start war with US Putin knows the game. So Ukraine, do the minerals deal, stop fighting, Putin, back up and go home. END THIS WAR.
kati...Resume no matter what. Ukraine is key and Russia should not be rewarded
ahaf...The US should not be doing anything to give Putin an advantage. Shame on us!!
mark...Idiotic of Trump to in any way undermine our ally. Traitorous, in fact, to be so chummy with Putin. Trump's is a weak, unAmerican Administration.
kngi...It not only weakens our credibility, undermines our allies, and diminishes our stance and moral authority throughout the world.
pguz...The US needs to decide who's side are we on and then proceed accordingly .
chri...Trump is a traitor and a fool.
mdul...I think it is beyond a stretch to believe that any world leader, other than Russia's Putin, will choose to rely on the current or future POTUS. Trump has not abided by a single agreement that has come into his view, even those that he negotiated himself (e.g. - USMCA). When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, Ukraine had the world’s third largest nuclear arsenal on its territory. US policy has always been to seek to limit nuclear weapons since wider ownership of them can. and likely would. lead to them being used against US interests. So, in 1993, the U.S. government engaged in a trilateral process with Ukraine and Russia. The result was the Trilateral Statement, signed in January 1994, under which Ukraine agreed to transfer the nuclear warheads to Russia for elimination. In return, Ukraine received security assurances from the United States, Russia and Britain. Those assurances were defined as both the US and Russia would refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine. They would also refrain from economic coercion against Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine, threatened to use nuclear weapons, and Trump also resorted to both military and economic coercion. Trump even goes so far as to say that this buys future security assurances. Ukrainians are likely to at least regret every having accepted US and Russian assurances in exchange for nuclear disarmament and I suspect the rest of the world leaders will consider this history before dealing with the US in any meaningful way.

Which is more important to you in a budget bill?

  • 56% Reducing government spending
  • 33% Expanding funding for key programs
  • 11% Other

EmailComments
moni...There are systems in place, or were until Trump upended them, to cut waste through the Inspectors General, audits and Congress. The indiscriminate slashing of funding and jobs across agencies that keep this country moving is going to have a devastating impact on everyday Americans regardless of their political affiliation. The idea of “Fraud, Waste and Abuse” is a highly overused catch phrase meant to manipulate people into thinking Musk and Trump are making cuts to help Americans. They are not, they are cutting services in order to have money to give the ultra rich tax breaks.
jamf...Government spending has been absolutely frivolous!! Time to tighten up! We don't need a Department of Education...the States can manage this. Education must be changed as current data suggests we spend more per pupil than most other countries- and the results have been "underwhelming"...
erwi...While I do have issues with the current administration, I do agree with reducing government spending and inefficiencies. If done right with no hidden agendas, then it is in the right direction. Otherwise, it's self-promoting for personal gain.
lqbh...Fairness, common sense, compassion, empathy
kabm...Maintain current funding for key programs, examine all areas of govt to do decide where budget cuts make sense before getting rid of them.
revl...Pulling back on core values of America is going to throw the global economy into chaos. We will be left unsupported when it matters the most.
nick...Eliminating waste in our government should be priority #2, only behind our defense.
robs...Extremely disappointed that this Republican led Congress has poorly veered out of step with DOGE, making the new DOGE cuts temporary. CONGRESS needs to align with Trump by legislating "lasting," difficult to change, reduced government spending!
cica...How about a tax on the billionaires? How about taxing people who made more money than they know what to do with? Apple Google Amazon Microsoft, these are great American companies. They got their start here. They would never have flourished anywhere else but here in the United States. It’s time they pay a little bit more in taxes than they’re doing. And no, they shouldn’t be cutting any social programs not Medicare not Medicaid not Social Security.
zeus...We should not lower our defenses cause if we have an invasion or a war we will not have food on the table. We will not have a job building on military is a very important thing for our safety for the quality of life in this country. there are a lot of essential programs that are abuse And are wasting taxpayers money. People have become lazy and expect the government to do things that they should be doing mother should be getting up in the morning and feeding their children, not sending them to school expecting the school to feed their children. My parents made breakfast for me before I left in the morning. I did the same thing for my children, I knew what they were eating and if they were eating Meals on wheels, I worked with an agency in caregiving and many patients house at the house never ate those meals. The refrigerator was stuffed with those meals to be thrown out another waist unless it’sused properly. and the list goes on and I know there was a use. I worked for the federal government. I know a lot of employees sit around all day on their phones or on the computer not doing work not even on site and the bosses couldn’t do anything because of the union there’s a lot of fixing up to do in this country because the hard-working people are either ones feeling it all these people that work from the house. A lot of them are not working you hear the background the children’s talking running around or whatever and they don’t answer the phone or they hang up on you so wake up America and stop complaining. We have the best country in the world
jrom...Use common sense , no pork or pet projects. Fund essential programs: infrastructure, defense, border.
john...Audit all DoD agencies to make accountability of funds spent
stay...I’m hoping that supporting the cuts in spending and the overall reduction in the federal payroll will send the message to congress that loading bills with ridiculous spending on ridiculous projects will end the way in which bills are written. Bills should be limited to language that is clearly understood and the money loaded in them is limited to only one issue.
i27g...If it really were to happen then it would be an effective strategy to keep future tax increases and federal debt issuance in check. I have serious doubts that overall material spending cuts will be voted into reality.
kbki...Thoughtful deliberate careful cutting of non-essential expenditures with the approval of Congress is important to reduce government spending. Musk/Trump slash and see what happens approach without Congressional approval is NOT the way to reduce government spending. It is unconstitutional!
codf...There's no accounting of where the money goes.
jani...Trim the fat while maintaining social security roads and defense spending.
jhmi...Expanding funding for social programs and reducing defense spending is most important to me
paul...The way the reducing government spending is being done is horribly wrong.
mah3...If they appropriately taxed the rich they would be able to fund the key programs. Instead they give breaks to those who don’t need it and just continue to hurt the working people
desa...A key tenet of our constitution calls for our elected representatives to serve the needs of our people.
cmes...Reduce the budget since they found BILLIONS in waste and fraud, they just proved they don't need what we were sending them in the past. The past the money was just propping up the Dem party. Now we know what the real budget numbers need to be.
vivi...I’m neither for nor against reduced government spending. Any action taken should be done with full transparency and with a plan for how to cover for departmental reductions and cuts. Hello, funding for health, education, national parks, and scientific research. Ignoring critical infrastructure will bite us in the ass down the line. And handing these responsibilities off to the private sector will weaken our country’s position and leave it vulnerable to nefarious players here and abroad.
mend...It’s important to get rid of fraud and abuse, but not at the cost of indiscriminate firing. Also we need to cut spending so I see no reason to cut taxes until the spending is cut.
cgat...Cuts need to happen, but not at the expense of those less fortunate.
9812...Debt is either a minor issue or a blatant curse to one's life. Our national debt is a blatant curse to our life in America. Can anyone count to 1 trillion in one life time? No. We haven't been able to pay billions. Somehow, someway we MUST reduce our spending. Congress MUST work together to maintain our lives but reduce spending in the process. Cuts must be made and taxes MAY be increased. But we cannot continue on our current path of idiocy
srcl...They are screwing with Medicaid and food programs.
kngi...Maintaining funding for key programs (SS, Medicare, Medicaid, foreign aid, etc.). Adding funding for increases in IRS operations, auditing (Governors General) and appropriating new funding for sytemic analysis of how to increase govt efficiency.
alex...The government not wasting our money by shutting down the government and going home for months while they're paid for it
larr...If our government doesn’t stop spending like there’s no tomorrow some day there won’t be another tomorrow. It’s just ridiculous what they spend money on. Be accountable and transparent.
mich...Doge's cuts are without merit and based on nothing at the expense of if good jobs for Americans..
rmby...Not cutting all the valuable programs and increasing the deficit by proposing tax cuts for the top 1%. The initial proposal showed a 41/2 trillion tax cut not for lower income families but for the rich & companies. This tax cut would increase the deficit by 9 trillion dollars over 10 years. Meanwhile cutting a budget which was proposed to cut 4 trillion which reduces key programs but not the deficit. There’s no win here. Stay tune and educate yourself.
mshe...Trump needs to be limited in his ability to spend tax dollars.
over...Maintaining funding for key programs, and the staff who work to ensure it is spent how intended and that contractors fulfill their obligations
jodu...The Trump administration doesn't know the definition of discretion.
kati...Presidential power needs to be accountable and Congress needs to maintain its authority over spending.
jrv1...Prioritize. There will be some pain, but needs to be done
avaa...But do it the right way not just Willy billy like the republicans are doing.
wetm...Reduce funding intelligently, not with a chain saw, and maintain or increase key programs.
jeff...Tax increases, not cuts
anne...Trim the fat and use that for vital investments.
tomd...Simply put: We, as a country and like nearly all households, need to live within our means. As evidenced by our HUGE deficit, it is clear that we have been over-spending for a long, long time, and that needs to stop.
chas...This is the wrong time to expand the executive’s discretion over funding.
msol...We need Congress to relearn how to compromise. A balanced budget is important and there should be a give and take in terms of programs to be funded or reductions in spending for other programs. Currently, our representatives and senators are too partisan and too worried about reelection, rather than doing what they were voted in for by their constituencies.

Would you quit your job right now if you had another offer?

  • 63% Yes, better pay and conditions matter
  • 37% No, job security is more important

EmailComments
zeus...I’m retired and work part time to make ends meet. But if I was young again, I would not stay in a job. I had nothing to offer.
cmes...Of course I would. There is a group out there that is just loyal to their boss for various reasons including family ties. Keep in mind, the whole left side of Florida did not do its annual seasonal hiring jump in Dec/Jan to handle the snowbirds coming down. In fact, thousands of people lost hospitality jobs due to hurricane Helene wiping the beach off the map all the up in to NC and TN. So those folks lost businesses and jobs that cannot come back until the sites are rebuilt. So there's like 10 to 25% of the your job loss issue adding in the Cali fire losses too among other things. Nobody seems to want to discuss that job/business loss that cannot be made up by adding construction jobs because half the workers are undocumented. Between Palestine, other natural disasters, you had a big hit last year.
kare...Industry needs to stop seeking cheaper labor—there are too many inexperienced “Directors” who don’t know how to prioritize, plan or implement anything. US WORKERS ARE THE BEST -IF YOU BELIEVE in them. US workers want to work better— help them by training everyone, not just the higher-ups. Stop paying CEOs. astronomically. High salaries & giving Management staff career traks to advancement at the expense of those doing all the work. Lastly, It’s time we end the protections of horrible bosses who make work life hell . We all know this happens yet we act like it doesn’t exist. A majority of the workforce who quit or leave a job say it is because of one bad apple Supervisor Who is on an ego trip that costs more money & resources to their subordinates, the company and society as a whole.Stop protecting bad managers. (I am mid level management & I am all for putting an end to this practice of protecting and allowing those bad leaders to continue.)
mich...There is no such thing as job security, best to go with conditions and pay that are more suitable to your well-being.
kevi...If a recession comes, which this administration is seemingly trying to push recklessly, the newest hires get cut 1st. Especially higher paid nee hires. The "majority" who says yes... good luck.
cb10...With trump in office, not a good time to change jobs. He has purposely created chaos and uncertainty.
jrv1...It’s not all about pay
bail...I am self employed.
over...There doesn’t seem to be job security anymore
mah3...With the ping pong of nonsense that Trump is doing with the economy, who knows who or what is going to be next on the chopping block.

Do you believe AI-powered brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) will become a mainstream medical tool within the next decade?

  • 87% Yes, the technology is advancing rapidly
  • 13% No, we’re still far from practical use

EmailComments
mdul...I think we will see a limited number of such implementations in the next decade but there will be too many safety concerns to allow this to be a "mainstream medical tool" in that time frame.
kell...When someone is told they could have the ability to once again have independence, they are going to take it.
paul...But will we be able to afford it?
ebr....Nobody is afraid of robots taking over the world? They must not have seen Terminator or Terminator 2.

Are you involved in AI or tech-related work?

  • 79% No
  • 21% Yes

EmailComments
paul...No, thank goodness.
zeus...I know that is done wonders for the medical field and physical therapy for people have had injuries if it’s gonna help make something more efficient as long as it’s something that’s being monitored because I know it’s a dangerous thing for a computer to get smarter than humans

How concerned are you about microplastic contamination in food and water?

  • 75% Very concerned
  • 23% Somewhat concerned
  • 2% Not concerned

EmailComments
mich...We have to get plastics out of the environment. They support the Petro industry and are destroying our environment.
chri...It is one visible change to our environment in the past 40 years that correlates with so many new health problems.
jjkr...Plastic use in all forms skyrocketed with COVID. We need to get a handle on the situation to at least bring usage back to that pre-Covid level. For example, school lunch went from trays and silverware to all plastic at our school. For “our safety” everything is enveloped in plastic and then discarded.
codf...It's everywhere,in the water, soil beef,fish.
lesl...Plastic is everywhere all at once. You can barely exist without it in some form or another. I want it to be stopped while the planet still lives.
davi...We'll probably not know much more about this as RFK, Jr. is a moron and is shutting down investment in studies like this.
nord...Plastic is not healthy period for anyone if it is contaminated even by 1%.
mary...Ecology has become very resistant and commonplace recently.
flyb...Fossil fuels are literally killing us and all other life on earth! MAKE POLLUTERS PAY!!!!!!!
sdmc...Plastics have been used in household products and beyond for almost 100 years. Where is the evidence that the existence of plastics harms humans? Are more people harmed by broken glass or plastic use annually?
1.el...We should go back to glass.
9812...Are the meds for E coli over used? Does that impact the germs resistance?
jwtu...Detrimental
park...I'm more concerned about it in my body but if we can get them to care about the water that's at least a step.
ebr....Between microplastics and Monsanto's Round-Up, I'm surprised we're still doing as well as we are as humanoids.
pjsm...Like diamonds, plastics are forever. We are being overwhelmed by our own consumption of plastic goods. Destruction of the natural world including human beings is very scary especially when we have governments and the oil industry promoting these products.
zeus...I think it’s harmful. I know our body is absorbing all the plastic and all the clothes that is coming in from China. Everything has plastic in it. I Kountry does not care about our health with all the chemicals in the food they keep adding and adding more junk and now the clothing that you wear all day long has plastic in it. We need to go back to glass when we store our food and heat up the food if other countries don’t do that don’t put additives in their food. Why are we doing it?
