mdul...Trump's mentor and handler, Putin, has made clear that he needs his protege to bring his opponent (Ukraine) to heel and to get Ukraine to agree to turn over their land and children while simultaneously agreeing to strip themselves of any ability to defend Russian aggression in the future. Ukraine originally gave up their nuclear weapons in exchange for a promise of security from the US and Russia (and the UK). That promise turned out to be worthless as the leaders of those two nations now collude to make Ukraine part of Russia. The "28 step peace plan" was just a summary of Russia's wants and desires from this war so Ukraine simply can't accept it as is, but Putin won't accept any meaningful wavering from what he needs Trump to deliver to him. The future is bleak for Ukraine.

kvas...No change is necessary if the community has public safety laws and regulation in place already. What would they change if the do have such laws? We can't outlaw guns. The Right's attitude is everyone should pack their own heat. Yeah, that's a brilliant idea ... if you want to discourage anyone from ever holding a family event again.
rick...What they should do is outlaw weapons which allow a single person to kill so many people so quickly and then follow it up with aggressively getting those weapons out of circulation. Keep in mind, the right to bear arms was to allow citizens to push back against the government: not to massacre other citizens. What we have now is the very type of government exerting threat backed by force of arms against citizens. I don't see any gun owners rising up to confront them: just killing kids.

We see stories all the time now of people sitting in their homes and being killed in cross fire or mistaken locations. We see mass shootings (now averaging two per day) at any venue. The people going to events of any kind didn't set out with a view that they might be subject to gun violence. There is simply no way to mitigate possible gun violence from parties such as these until and unless our elected leaders decide to tackle gun violence with the same emphasis that Trump is using to supposedly address fentanyl importation (although not his tactics, please). By the way, the number of American deaths from gun violence and from fentanyl overdoses are just about exactly the same.

bjef...Why do you ask these questions. Glioblastoma is a death warrant, basic life expectancy at detection is 275 days or so. Yes, if it works, yes. Fast track it. The outcome can't be any worse with it than it will be for sure without it. Asking questions like this is not how medicine would look at it. Once proven to work, by all means apply it to those most in need of it. You can't have a better test situation and the treatment group serves as its own control because the outcome was guaranteed. Any improvement would be a plus.
cand...I believe they should be fast tracked as an option only if the patient completely understands the lack of testing and what that might entail. If a patient opts to try this "unproven" method especially with a tumor that is fatal, then it should be their decision. Now, insurance coverage is going to be a whole other matter!
