pete...Whilst, given the background, this might lead to temporarily better trade relations with Japan, it is another step on the path away from free trade which served the US economy so well for many years. The pain will come.

And have you noticed that most of the publicly traded corporations in the US are actually eating the tariffs and taking quarterly losses they have room to take while remaining profitable in annual earnings rather than passing them on to US consumers, and this is DRIVING the S&P 500 to achieve ALL TIME HIGHS!!!

Look at the number of wins for the US over the past 6 months. The speed and degree of deals has been astounding. Trump keeps on winning for America. Dementia Joe didn't do a damn thing for America.
