rich...I think this is a reasonable trade agreement & hopefully shows our adversaries that we support Ukraine now & in the future.
alda...When you're between a rock and a hard place you do what you need to survive. I hope the deal is a favorable one.
heat...feels like its going to give trump what he wants and isnt to be trusted
ande...Any agreement that bolsters protection of European democracies against aggression by anti-democratic forces is most likely beneficial. I’m not a fan of this happening under duress the way it has. However, it’s somewhat ironic that the rare earth deposits that the Trump administration is seeking (to the extent they exist at all in economically viable concentrations) appear to be located in territory presently occupied by Russian forces. So in order to exploit those deposits under the deal we would first need to remove the Russian army.
tris...Hoping US backs Ukraine in fighting the war... Expect Trump to overshadow it all and hope our allies understand this situation . I hate saying I am American at this moment as I leave for Europe.
sylv...They have even up too much already. It Is greed showing to ask them to keep giving up things and for what. We have not helped them move on since Trump took office. What an embarrassment to ask them for anything.
cind...I would want Russia’s and Putin’s responses before deciding if this is good or bad or a scam. Putin never keeps his word and Trump is a compulsive liar so we’ll see how it goes. Zelenskyy is an honest and dedicated leader who deserves the same in return.
nanc...It’s a bit of a rebuke to Putin, as he has been against Ukraine joining the EU, plus the U.S. will not want to cede any resource-rich property to Russia, so it will be in their best interest to give Ukraine the tools they need to fight.
geor...We haven’t seen the entire document yet so I am not sure what it all means. I hope Ukraine gets America’s support against Putin as part of the deal and Trump doesn’t mess it all up!
rgar...Hopefully it will be a step to help end the war. It will provide support, money and jobs for Ukraine to recover. The US will getsome return for the investment we have made in the war and will make for Ukraine's future. It should be good for both countries.
jhmi...It’s greed. Plain and simple. A friend doesn’t ask for something in return for help. Shame on the Trump administration for this extortion.
bmic...Get rid of trump permanently
ebr....I’m happy Ukraine will be okay but I’m disappointed in the US and Trump and his ilk. If President Zelenskyy is satisfied then so am I. Slava Ukraini
then...We need to help Ukraine gain back all of the territory they have lost, including Crimea. If we have access to their minerals and give them the military equipment in return, to push out Russia it will be beneficial to both countries.
irvi...It feels similar to mafia asking protection money.
skea...Hope it is a mutually beneficial agreement and that Ukraine got a fair shake.
moni...I worry about the fairness of the deal and unfortunately the US trying to manipulate Ukraine and not live up to its promises because this is how Donald Trump operates.
kink...Step in the right direction
rodr...Trump should have just helped with out that
stbu...Ukraine was invaded without cause
brwa...they own and operate mines in Southern West Virginia. A good employer and good corporate citizen
mdul...I'm saddened that Trump walked away from the US commitment to protect Ukraine from military force or economic coercion, as outlined in the Budapest Memorandum that led to Ukraine unilaterally disarming their nuclear arsenal. Zelensky had little choice but to pay the ransom to Trump even though he does not appear to have gotten anything for it in the form of ceasefire, return of captured lands, financial rebuilding assistance, or anything else. The deal shows the world that the US cannot be trusted and that has wide ranging future implications. However, the US will benefit from the proceeds of rare earth minerals and that will have benefit.
k.si...About time. Good for the Ukrainian. President to not be bullied by trump
mdda...If the U.S. agrees to support Ukraine with weapons in its war with Russia, I believe it to be a positive outcome for Ukraine and Europe and an affirmation of U.S. support for democracy.
alic...Will we keep our end of bargain?
zaac...Anyone who feels negative about this deal should start paying the bill for the Ukraine themselves.
drba...If it really strengthens Ukraine's war effort and encourages Ukraine to join NATO, I'm good with it.
caro...why would they trust the US at this point? Trump will just use this to allow more access to Russia….and continue to try to weaken Ukraine
step...It seems that the Ukrainian government is an honest broker that recognizes that there is no free lunch. But, they clearly didn’t give away the farm to the US. They have control of the land and the extractions. They have also likely secured a better US partner against Putin bc the US now has a vested interest.
spkg...I believe that the U.S. has to support Ukraine in its war against Russia.
cb10...Actually, not sure.
gjla...Trump never lives up to his end of the deal. I'm afraid that Uk. will not get the arms and support from trump that they need. Trump is in too deep with Putin and won't risk ticking Putin off. And which one of Trump's minions will be in charge of this project.
spen...Trump can not be trusted. Trump and Russia are against Ukraine
rodf...Dont know the details of the deal
paul...It looks good, but I don't trust trump; he is a pathological liar.
cica...We’re extorting them.
cind...At least we get something out of all we have given
ibmi...Retro extortion is a very odd thing to feel positive about. No guarantees? Is Ukraine being force-fed the actual, depreciated value of the arms support? ConOld Chump’s lie-based values? The full replacement cost of the arms (a scam)?
koze...Gives u some support and US presence there long term. Also ptivifrs uS with another source of minerals. May be s stepping stone to ending war.??
jllm...Foot in the door
falb...Like the Giving Tree, Ukraine keeps giving and giving and we hero taking and taking. They have been our front line against expansionist Russia and we must support their independence ad well as profiting from their resources.
wcrh...Very few details, but if it means we will continue to aid Ukraine I’m for it.
lora...this is a brilliant idea by Trump. This will stop Russia's aggression on Ukraine since it will now entail US assets. Russia does not war with the US or NATO, so this is a good peaceful deterrent.
deni...I hated the bullying but the war needs to end, and with a vested commercial interest now in Ukraine perhaps the US will be a more predictable partner.
neil...Typical hegemonic move by the regime changing USA
p_gs...This is larger than the economics between the two countries and will support Ukraine's feedom at a critical period of the conflict against Russia. Longer term it signals joint U.S. and NATO support for stability of Ukraine's future.
coll...I'm afraid we may take advantage of them.
join...Ukraine gets our help fighting the Russian invasion, and we get something in return. Putin has been trying to appease Trump without making any concessions. It sounds like a good deal.
olso...This deal appears to be more fair to all parties, but tying our essential military aid to mineral interests feels a bit like we’re blackmailing a friend.
gens...I don’t care for trumps extortion
jeff...Hopefully this means continued support for Ukraine!!!!
rsti...The US should support Ukraine and put more pressure on Russia by all means possible. Trump is Putins puppet. Trump has been negotiating for Putin and almost demanding Ukraine surrender on Russias terms. That’s unacceptable
drol...If trump is involved it has to be shady
karl...Ukraine needs the support from the US, and the our nation needs to support European nations from the aggression of Russia. Russia is not our friend and unfortunately nations have lost trust in our nation!
jame...Deals should not be signed with allies at the point of a gun. It is a shameful experience.
sims...Hope it’s a win win not a trump bully move that hurt people of Ukraine in the long run. I am interested to see if trump will help Ukraine defend against russia. Trump and putin are buddies 🤔
newb...The US needs to honour this and support Ukraine against Russia.
atli...This is the essence of Trump's art of the deal. Withhold something of existential value from your opponent until he is forced to agree. The rest of the world including Ukraine recognize the immorality of this arrangement but because of the power imbalance cannot do anything in the short-term to correct it. But, in the long term...
9812...Russia has only had very limited success in Ukraine I thought that Russia would have crushed Ukraine several years ago Russia has not and we, along with NATO partners, should not allow it to happen by cutting aid to Ukraine I would much rather expell the illegal aliens, then cut back on Federal and State aid as people find jobs. I am not sure if those people are anxious for a job but without public assistance it would be useful.
jema...I think it will be good for both countries, but I hope it will allow the US to resume military aid including long-range weapons and not just serve as payback for past assistance. Both the US and Ukraine desperately need Ukraine to win this war to stop Russian aggression!
bilk...Ukraine should not have to make a deal from an ally, who is part of NATO to assist them in war it’s more like extortion
ayo....I worry for the future if the international rules-based order becomes transactional.
jenn...This is Trump being greedy and blackmailing Ukraine. " If you want US help, I want this". Just like tariffs, he is testing his power and seeing who retaliates. He is a bully. Help Ukraine for the lone fact that Russia invaded a great country. But why strip them of even more?
gjok...As long as trumpism rules the deal it cannot be a win win which it should be
ham3...After 64 billion we should own the country including the reaources.
jwbe...I feel that Ukraine has been milking us via Biden for years. We have taken way too much financial abuse. Let the other connected European countries step up and do their part. We have been screwed by the Ukranians, and if I were our President, I would tell them to go to hell!
rhod...Depends on how strong assurances of Ukraine safety is.
gerh...Signed contract or not - Trump can never be trusted about anything he promises or does. That's because his personality is a sickness that either himself, or anybody else can do anything about. He should be put under guardianship, before it's too late, for both USA and all the rest of the world. As anybody else who is seriously sick, cannot be kept responsible for being sick. No one wants to be sick. Only the people around the sick person are responsible to take response of the desaster he is causing before the katastrof becomes too irreversible.
reds...The concept is great and seems to be a positive development, however, I assume it will take 3-5 years before any minerals are extracted from Ukraine's earth and by then the U.S. will have a new POTUS that could likely "renege" or reverse any agreements. I also question the likelihood that Ukraine has the REMs that we long for.
jcli...Just hope trump sticks to the agreement

How do you feel about the recent GDP contraction?

  • 68% Concerned about future economic stability
  • 31% It's a temporary setback that will resolve itself
  • 2% Other

EmailComments
iren...Alas, DJT did not thing his "beautiful tariffs" idea through to its end.
lora...American people are idiots! After we have 20% inflation with Biden and the democrats we expect Trump to fix everything in 90 days. That is ridiculous to have that expectation. Trump will turn the economy around just like he did in his first term. Under the democrats with increased spending and future tax hikes on all people is unsustainable.
ebr....It’s happened before and will happen again.
nanc...Doesn’t look good. Another shrinking quarter and the U.S. will officially be in a recession. And for what??
davi...we knew this was coming. No surprise...carry on.
geof...Trump
cb10...All one man's doing. How can we let this happen?
tomp...Continued negative reaction to Trump's policy shifts and tarrifs may cause a recession.
mich...Trump is like a drunk stumbling though a display of glass with a broomstick in his hands. He cannot manage our economy.
rich...This confirms what the Economists have been forecasting
swfo...Too much reliance on a few in the Executive Branch with these erratic tariff executions; not conducive to development of an integrated economic strategy for the Country
jllm...When you upset the norms, there’s always consequences
mdul...Peter Navarro, Trump's economic adviser, was even trying to make the contraction seem like an expansion through some bizarre logic chain. It's important to note that very few of the effects from Trump's trade war have even started to be felt yet, let alone seeing the effects on employment when combined with his DOGE layoffs. It seems unlikely that this is just a temporary setback.
koze...Dectease government's spending influenced that. Private entitity spending inceased.
jame...A catastrophic own-goal by a deranged thug in office, and a callow and spineless Congress failing to bring him to heel and see charges brought for his treason.
zack...It’s a temporary setback. Trump admin will create a strong economy. But it will not happen over night. The U.S. gov has sold out our country for many decades. It will be an up hill battle since the losing party will fight everything Trump Admin tries to accomplish.
jald...First time a President of the US is actually doing something to bring jobs back to help the middle class. I’m perfectly fine with some pain if it gives me a chance for longer term gain. Otherwise as a lower middle class working man I will not have a shot at retirement if things don’t change.
kold...Nothing Trump is causing will go away quickly, much is permanent.
bwea...Give it time, but not 4 years.
jema...It will only get worse. People are snapping up goods now that they know will increase drastically in price in the very near future. It will take years to build up manufacturing and supply chains in the US and it won't even start until the world and US companies are assured the tariff and trade war has stabilized.
ham3...This is a reset / turnaround. Most cannot fathom what this means.
bret...Q1 GDP is not the concern as imports drove the decline. The effects of tariffs have not even begun to hit the economy other than a slowing of hiring.
shan...Our President is an idiot
9812...The adjustments have created problems for some For example Bush Beans raised their prices under Mr Biden Since Mr Trump’s return I have seen Bush Beans back to $2 per large can. Personally I like it. It is a cut to the inflation created by Mr. Biden. At least I hope it is.
karl...History has shown that tariffs are a poor concept for the economic growth of a nation. It becomes a consumption tax or a flat tax! Trust the economists and not the politicians!
robs...How does everyone feel about the U.S. having to spend more on annual interest payments for our $36 Trillion National Debt than the U.S. spends on annual National Defense now that China's military capabilities have surpassed the U.S. because for the past 25 years the U.S. buys 5 times more from China than China buys from the U.S.? Having to pay, at most, $2,500 to $3,500 more on average annual consumption because of tariffs on Chinese goods is the very least of our problems!
sims...Concerned that the administration will do unrepairable damage to trade relations. Maybe the countries will come to the table or the demands by the administration will be too unreasonable for them to accept 🤞🏾
cica...Thanks, Maga voters
dian...This needs to be done.

Do you trust that the growth in the AI sector will lead to better job opportunities in the future?

  • 67% No, it will likely automate jobs away.
  • 33% Yes, it will create new roles.

EmailComments
rgar...Some jobs will be automated , others will be created. There are many jobs that cant be automated and many that automation is not practcle to deploy and use. The thought that A I automation will do everything is way overreach.
jald...I’m a welder and I’m not worried about AI taking my job or my wife’s job as a dental hygienist. Anyone in the trades is going to come out good when it comes to AI implementation. A lot of customer service and office jobs will disappear. Learn a trade or be obsolete.
lora...Yes, it will create better jobs for the future. Americans need to ensure that their children are getting a good education and not being indoctrinated at school about Transgenders and sexuality. They need to have an education which will make them employable vs being unemployed with mental issues.
jllm...Ask the auto makers this question
zack...AI is going to completely change the world in the next 10 years. Many of these respected college degrees will be useless then
lesl...Just like gas did to coal and plastic to earth materials and automation lines in manufacturing. The future holds new inventions that enable humans to do other things. This is not necessarily a bad thing.
soft...People are getting dumber by the day relying on AI. Esp students using it for homework answers. We are relying too much on tech. Critical thinking and problem solving is becoming null
jema...It will create some jobs, but this gain will be far offset by losses caused by further automation. Both Meta and Amazon stand to lose the significant income they currently receive from Chinese companies.
atli...Anyone who believes that automation creates jobs needs to look at mining. More results with fewer workers which widens the inequality gap. It is time for a guaranteed minimum wage.
kold...Some new jobs but overall less
bret...Early into AI, new jobs will likely be created but at some point in the near future, most jobs will be eliminated.
ebr....Old people and handicapped people all need jobs too, and simple jobs are best for them. Some automation is ok but not all of it.

Should the U.S. Army prioritize drone warfare over traditional land combat capabilities?

  • 90% Yes, drones are the future of warfare
  • 10% No, traditional capabilities must be preserved

EmailComments
kimk...Must read: "Ender's Game"
sims...Hopefully trump don’t credit for initiating this plan but he will
lora...We need to have drones which will save our military lives. We need to insist that our government negotiates peace vs war.
jema...Yes, and we need to send advanced drones to Ukraine to drive back the Russian invasion
robs...Didn't you mean to ask "Should the U.S. Army prioritize drones over it's previous focus on DEI & changing the culture of the U.S. Army while it falls behind China's Military like it did during the past 4 years under Democratic President Joe Biden?"
rich...It allows our army to fight & lessen the potential harm to them in war
jllm...Anything that will save my brothers lives is a plus
shpe...Just look at Ukraine!
zack...We have been using drones to murder innocent people for over a decade now. The only thing the two parties can agree on it war!
rgar... You should have had a third option. Drone should and will become a part of traditional opertions tool box just as they have in Ukraine.

Do you think non-invasive treatments are preferable to medication for mental health issues?

  • 84% Yes, I favor non-invasive methods
  • 16% No, medication has its benefits

EmailComments
lora...The government should insist new drugs put on the market actually cure mental health vs just hiding the symptoms which make the mental health issues more severe. Pharmaceuticals and Psychology doctors do not want a cure since it will impact their money they earn making people dependent on drugs.
jema...You asked the wrong question! This very study confirms that medication given after the ketogenic diet was the key factor in shrinking the pancreatic cancer in mice. Both the diet and the medication are non-invasive treatments. Often, non-invasive treatments such as these shrink tumors to the point that they can be removed by micro-invasive surgeries.
soft...For cancer yes. The question is gor mental health. And no. Mental health requires steady meds.
9812...Who prefers to be cut over taking a pill?
ebr....I can attest, sometimes medication is necessary when nothing else works quick enough. The less side effects, the better.
jlcg...What has the question to do with the information? And what is it supposed to mean anyway?
amyl...lifestyle medicine can prevent and treat 86% of chronic diseases. The problem is that keto diet is going to lead to other problems and there is not one diet for each problem. A whole food plant based diet is the best to prevent and treat disease acrosst he board.
rgar...Again you should have had a third option as the two types of treatments should be combined
ham3...Surprised that this is not 100%. Cannot imagine what the 16.5% are thinking.
cb10...Wrong question for this.
jllm...If we’re talking about pancreatic cancer, anything is better than just watching it
