newb...I dealt with now Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov 30 years ago. Mr Witkoff has no cards to play in this unequal dialogue of experience against ignorance.
chri...He is a traitor working for his own self interests.
earl...Shocked, really. And I should not be shocked by anything involving this administration.
ronp...Trump and his acolytes have always been Russian stooges.
elli...treason, plain and simple
ent....The fact that there were back channel discussions among top aides should not be a surprise—to me the takeaway is coaching Russians on how to butter up trump.
jmmd...There are no words to describe the naïveté of the man, as well as betrayal and embarrassment for the U.S..
donh...Supporting Russia’s war aims in Ukraine is a worldwide disaster awaiting us!
wolf...Deeply anti-freedom. Another step towards a global coalition of autocrats.
fran...Appalling politics by an appallingly corrupt system. Shameful beyond words
call...traitors gonna traitor
cger...Putin is evil and does not care how many lives are lost due to his activities. President Trump wants the killing to stop. He is doing his best to make that happen, as opposed to the last administration who did NOTHING but send money to keep it going. 80% of your readers are ignorant Progressive Leftist warmongers.
dian...Trump and Witkoff are an embarrassment to America , our history , standards and beliefs. It will take twenty years to be trusted or respected again, thanks don.
lori...Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize at any cost including throwing the world into war. Ironic.
rcal...The world knows Trump is an attention junky, just looking for praise with no care for the damage left in his wake. The last person to whisper in his ear controls the narrative. It becomes too easy to manipulate Trump
tubi...weak willed, easily manipulated people.
tech...He needs to be removed immediately. It is disturbing.
tous...Here now you surrendered everything, and take my wife also - anyone can write that trash. It will require great powers of hypnosis or extortion for Ukraine to agree.
alb7...The Kremlin needs more coaching. Finally there's someone in the West they seem willing to listen to.
spro...You lefties don’t get to vote on this. Your only solution was sending Ukraine as much $ as they wanted at our expense. Biden said as long as it takes and just don’t. Give me a break and leave negotiations to the people who know how to get something back and get it done.
cbro...It capitulation to Russian demands and you can't help but wonder why? Russia started this war and is responsible for killing tens of thousands of innocent non combatants. Why?
conn...Russia is our adversary. It always has been. It's blatantly obvious Witkoff and Trump are Russian assets or have been bribed with benefits post-war if they can achieve favorable terms for Russia
rsko...Is there a stronger way to express negative? Very, very negative. Clearly aginst the interests and safety of Europe snd even the US.
jamf...This war needs to end. Now.
cica...Steve Whitless is a tool, just like his boss and that moron son-in-law of his. The Russians are playing us like a violin. It’s humiliating for this country and it’s a tragedy for Ukraine. The Republican Party is a national disgrace at this point.
usct...I think, if this was a Democrat, Trump would call it treason and sedition. At the very least it is someone who has no idea what diplomacy is all about. It is another example of the shear incompetence of this administration.
susa...The ex KGB creature needs no instruction, as he is the master just as Trump is the naive clown. Trump only acts in his self interest. Currently, he desperately wants the Nobel; therefore, he will sacrifice Ukraine and his country if need be.
kind...Trumps administration is slowly but surely pulling us into a potential world war
levi...Negotiation involves both sides at the table. An envoy must not favor one side over the other.
barr...Power and money grab -
will...Favoring Russia is wrong.
chri...Insofar as stability in Europe is a core US national security concern, it could be borderline treasonous.
mbry...Clearly compromised and biased in his dealings. Not surprised as Ukrainian representatives were not involved or even invited. Wonder what hold Russia has on these negotiators besides money.
wmca...Russia only responds to force/pressure. They are the aggressors. Trump is handling like blaming the rape victim.
norw...Despicable
brad...What a joke of an administration.
twin...There will be no win for ukraine! Instead of supporting ukraine trump supports russia; always has! Russian puppet!
lkdn...Witkoff only wants to finish the agreement regardless of outcome so Trump can claim he stopped another war like he did with Israel and Gaza Ask the palistineans how that worked out. Ukraine has been abandoned by Trump. He doesn’t want to fund the war and doesnt want to piss off Putin because he has great development plans for Russia. In effect America loses is Ukraine loses. The Allie’s shoul punish Russia by taking all the money and using it to supply Ukraine with appropriate weapons and support their economy.
ples...Russia / Putin need to be stopped. The evil aggressor should not dictate terms of the ceasefire / end to the war. Conceding Ukrainian land is unacceptable.
mdul...If Trump's goal was to ensure his mentor and handler, Putin, got everything he wanted from the war Putin instigated and pursued, then this would be considered good negotiating. However, if the goal was to find a suitable and lasting peace, it was wholly ill advised. The next interesting piece will be to see what Europe will do. Given that the peace plan Russia handed to Trump for him to deliver as his own guts the Ukraine armed forces and specifically prohibits Ukraine from accepting military aid in the future, Europe would be correct in being concerned about Russia's next invasion through its southern front.
kold...pro fascist
paul...I'm so confused by the whole thing now, idk what to think anymore.
dbhe...This country should be opposing Putin's naked aggression. Witkoff and Trump act like agents for Putin.
katz...More corruption from the Trump administration
joej...It seems clear that Trump directed Witkoff to favor Russian interests. This proposal hands Ukraine to Russia with no assurances that Russia won’t restart Ukrainian aggression in a few years and take the entire country.
robe...The comments made about Krlley would be better placed here...
garl...Just bad political maneuvers and counter to ALL the intentions that the majority of Americans hold for Ukraine. Is it tantamount to Treason?
mgre...Unwise to give the kremlin rewards for invading Ukraine. It’s a black mark on the US to ask Ukraine to give up territory.
brod...Witkoff is actively promoting the interests of the aggressor.
nanc...We need less fawning over trump. He’s got his whole administration telling him lies to appease him. How about some truth for a change?
kend...Any peace talks without Ukraine at table non binding
lind...Just another maga moron in the tRump brigade
capt...Total Sham for anyone but Russia and Putin!
jrd5...Sell out to a known US adversary. Should all be tried for treason.
trud...No experience. It’s a joke. He Favors Russia.
c.ny...The current U.S. administration is not seeking peace plan between Ukraine and Russia, but setting up to invade Ukraine which would endanger the rest of Europe Alliance. For what? Obviously, Trump’s plan has no positivity for peaceful resolution for Ukraine & Europe, other than Trump’s and his minions’ long-term personal gain (no doubt disastrous to Ukraine, Europe Alliance and the rest of the free world).
kvas...I miss the days when the goal of a president in selecting his advisors was to find "the best and the brightest." This entire administration seems to be composed of butt kissing sycophants. They are, clearly, the worst and the dumbest.
davi...Fuck trump
john...It is an unfair approach
mend...He has no idea what he’s doing. We need to get serious about having a real team committed to ending the war and not rewarding Russia.
bjef...An incompetent picked by an incompetent. The answer is so simple.
katl...Corrupt and he should be fired! Trump is siding with Putin and BOTH cannot be trusted.
rpat...I think he’s incompetent. Ignorant of key issues. Should be sidelined.
milt...Only a fool would trust Putin. Remember he said he was not going to attack Ukraine. So weaken Ukraine’s defenses, no NATO troops or peacekeepers. It’s another Vietnam style treaty where we pretends to have a mutual peace treaty to save face when it surrendering to a cruel Putin aggressor. Trump is such a weak negotiator. What a weak man. The USA deserves better.
pete...Neither he nor Trump seem to have the slightest idea of how to find a deal for both countries. Clue: Any deal has to hurt them both but give them enough to settle.
rand...Witkoff is a Trump patsie doing the work of a Russian focused and beholden idiot
cele...The US should be working to make the victim, Ukraine, rather than framing a victory for the aggressor, Russia.
geor...Just another puppet of the Trump royalty.
jimi...Time for this war to end. Putin is responsible for too many people dying.
mrse...Whose side are we on?
rnub...He has more up his sleeve.

Would you personally pay more for a vehicle equipped with advanced safety features like back-seat child alarms and automatic braking?

  • 52% Yes
  • 44% No
  • 4% Other

EmailComments
susa...I don't want my car thinking for me or driving for me.
doct...Republicans ARE the problem. Pick a topic. Any topic.
matt...This is a stupid question. Would I pay a dollar more? Yes. How about $15,000 more? No. You need to include a dollar amount in a question like this.
ples...Automatic braking CAUSES, not only prevents accidents. It’s analogous to the technology originally used in the Boeing 737-MAX planes that took away pilot control and caused 2 tragic plane crashes before the technology was adjusted and pilots were given full control of the plane’s trajectory. Investor in tech that shuts down devices / smart phones when engine is on. That WILL save lives!!!! Our drivers are too distracted. That’s why accidents haven’t diminished.
tomp...The Auto Braking, NO. I hate it. It has almost caused me to be in an accident several times. I should be in control of my car. The Child saftey , yes.
ljta...It is ironic that tariffs aren’t noted as part of the increase in the price of cars. It has to have had some effect.
bjef...If there are two similar vehicles, one with safety features and one without, I will most assuredly ignore the one that doesn't have well documented safety features to say they are cheaper. Being dead because there are no antilock breaks or a child is dead because their brain dead parent left them in a car is ridiculous, paricularly when antilock brakes actually help the average driver approach the breaking skill of a professional which we all can use. This is a stunt to reduce the price of vehicles. The real villain is..drum roll..tariffs and the American obsession with massive blocks of metal trying to imitate a semi truck while at the same time requiring massive engines to provide acceleration reserved for race cars (which their vehicles couldn't possibly handle in any situation other than a straight line.) with more cup holders than there are hands to hold drinks among other useless features. They could do away with the beep for people not wearing seatbelts. That's natures way of getting rid of the idiots behind the wheel. If you don't have enough sense to wear a seatbelt, why should we let you on the road?
lkdn...Automakers have used these devices to explain their price hikes. We are asking to reduce costs in government, medical care, insurance etc. Perhaps we can look into a DOGE program for automakers and weapons programs.
bhad...Can you even buy a car without these new features? I don't think so!
mgre...Rear view cameras have made driving so much safer. I’m looking forward to back seat child alarms.
brad...I have no interest in the features myself, but the cost to add them is minimal and doesn’t hurt anything.
john...Basic math shows 25% inflation is 47,500.
sesi...I have it in one of my vehicles and riding around in Houston is near impossible. As soon as someone cuts in front of me, my truck brakes hard which causes others behind me to slam on their brakes as well.
tomd...I hate to be so blunt, but if someone doesn't know there is a child in the back seat of the car that he/she is currently driving, then I believe that person shouldn't be driving - period. So why in the world should I be forced to pay extra for an annoying alarm that would distract my driving only to tell me the obvious? As for emergency brakes, I can see both pros and cons to this scenario. Therefore, I would like to see real-world test data that either supports or discredits this approach prior to a decision.
nanc...Maybe getting rid of steel and aluminum tariffs would help.
ronp...Because cars are still going to be driven by a human and that’s the safety problem you will never fix unless your god
jald...Why do you need to be reminded your kid is in the back seat? Seriously these features are not needed and not wanted due to costs making the car more expensive so now you will need a 10 year auto loan just to afford this.
katl...Tell the current administration and Senate to stay out of this. Safety and the health Americans is the only thing that should matter.
tuck...I think they’ve increased their prices enough to cover installing these safety features
kvas...The current administration doesn't care whether you live or die. If you die, you're just a "loser."
stub...Once you have used a well implemented set of advanced safety features, you never want to go back!
perm...People should be responsible for their own driving. Pay attention to the road and surroundings, not drive distracted.
katz...The safety features are needed as cars/ trucks keep getting bigger, heavier and more dangerous to human lives.
pete...Greater safety has a value.
blue...I already have this in my car, at a price, yes. My question is, where is the automobile technology that disabled cellphones upon starting the car, except for emergency use?!
mend...I think all vehicles should have these features. They also should reduce the distractions of big screens would be a bigger safety gain I think of all cars are equipped with the proper safety. The price will go down on up just to the volume.
orey...Automatic braking on my current vehicle is a feature I wish I could turn off. I do not need an alarm to tell me there is a child in my backseat.
tere...No brainer , something has to keep the rest of us safe from the stoners , drinks, and texters. Should be. mandatory on all new vehicles.

How much do you trust Medicare’s ability to negotiate fair drug prices moving forward?

  • 49% Low trust
  • 26% High trust
  • 25% Neutral

EmailComments
alb7...The federal government has set providers reimbursement rates (prices) for public financed programs for years - not necessarily well - but that sets the benchmark for provider/carrier price negotiations in the private markets. We'll see how private plan drug prices are affected.
pete...As long as they are given the power to negotiate freely, they can and will do a great job!
cger...Finally we have a President who is looking out for Americans and bringing health care drug prices down in America.
katz...This is what Medicare does, when not being influenced or led by unethical leadership. I still have confidence in Medicare's ability to negotiate better pricing as they are the largest insurer in the nation. It will be better when we have the current very corrupt administration out of office.
bjef...As long as Trump and his cronies are in, any drug cuts will probably line their pockets meaning even more cuts could have been made.
cica...Going forward, I can’t trust anything that administration touches. This is the most corrupted administration in American history by a mile. That’s if we have much history left after this.
kvas...High trust under any other administration. No trust whatsoever under this administration.
cats...I’ve just been prescribed a drug with a co-pay of $1000 per month. It is none of the drugs on the list. I am told it is normally $5000 a month. I live on social security alone. The pharmacy industry is killing us. 12 price reductions every couple of years isn’t enough help the number of Americans who need these meds.
aunt...Do these savings move to lower out-of-pocket for private insurance and medicaid?
meca...The feds know how to do this. They’ve done it for years in the veterans administration, resulting in significantly lower prices.
walk...Hard to say, but who else is there in the US
chri...When a bulk buyer like Medicare pays a higher price for Ozempic than I do retail at a Mexican pharmacy something is wrong. The US state has been captured by corporate interests. Eisenhower warned us about this in the the 1950s.
katl...Trump’s administration is failing the American people.
robe...At one time high but not anymore especially currently.
lkdn...Medicare is the largest provider of medical insurance in the country. They have enormous power to influence prices. Politicians are in their pockets as are drug companies. Citizens United allowed way too much control by companies to influence politics. Our government programs won’t regulate as long as politicians are making money
doct...Single payer would dramatically improve America’s healthcare system.
kif....These are not a price cut to Medicare, these drugs are new to Medicare. This is a windfall to these drug manufacturers to provide weight loss drugs to a large group of people that have access to taxpayers to pay for it
mend...Congress needs to get involved and drive down prices in the US to equal that of the rest of the world we no longer have US citizen can afford to foot the bill
spro...It was Trump, not Biden in his first term who got diabetes meds down to $35 and here are 15 more. Trump could cure cancer tomorrow and you would stay negative. You don’t deserve him and hope your TDS is treatable

Inflation pressures show continued price rises in energy and food despite slower retail gains. Which do you think will have the bigger impact on the economy in the next 6 months?

  • 78% Persistent inflation will weaken growth further
  • 19% Inflation pressures will ease, supporting the economy
  • 3% Other

EmailComments
katl...Thank you Donald Trump for making America weak!
nanc...Don’t see anything in the works that will curtail inflation.
doct...More than anything, I am sure that the evil regime will try to hide the data.
norm...Products cost more, hence people will have less disposable income, for dining out, vacations, etc.
crai...The rate of inflation will go down and affordability will go up as interest rates come down, as people see their incomes go up with tax reductions and as jobs increase driven by the massive investments by foreign companies are making in manufacturing in the USA. High paying jobs in automotive, steel, shipbuilding, AI and others. This is rebuilding the industrial base of the country.
pete...A poor administration doing the wrong things for the wrong reasons, plus investors very likely to figure out that AI is not all it's been cracked up to be, will ensure inflation persists.
chri...inflation in essentials (consumer staples), deflation in discretionary purchases. CPI will become bifurcated along the lines of the economy. Housing will continue to drive most of the inflation story (as it's the heaviest weighting as well), but autos, travel, etc. will turn the corner and begin to decline, partially offsetting inflationary headwinds from food and healthcare and housing
bjef...inflation pressures will ease because no one will have a job to purchase anything. Not sure how low inflation has any effect on helping the economy. Low inflation and job growth is what we need. AI will cut jobs and the business won't keep all their old employess and pay them the same salary while reducing their hours: nope, they'll fire as many as they can, make the rest still work 40 hour weeks and you'll have even more people without income to fuel the economy. I'm all for efficiency, but business has shown time and time again, they will grab profits first and worry about not having anyone to purchase their product later.
kvas...We left the world of logical connections in the rear view mirror when Comb-Over took office. Are you seriously trying to make logical connections under this administration? Come on out from under your rock and join the rest of us in trying to follow Comb-Over's idiocy.
suet...It never reverses to Previous levels
brad...The fun is just beginning…

Would you consider changing your diet to increase choline-rich foods if it may protect your brain health?

  • 87% Yes
  • 9% Maybe
  • 4% No

EmailComments
doct...What does that even mean?
aunt...Needs more study in much larger numbers of cases
cger...I say yes, but I have been trying to lose a few pounds for a year now and haven't succeeded. YIKES!!!
pete...OBVS!
ljta...I don’t actually need to change my diet as these are normal staples in the food that I eat. But it fascinates me that these foods are not in younger people’s diets.
kvas...I'll trust my doctor's advice, thanks.
nanc...Already have.
bjef...Of course, it would help if I knew what foods were choline rich!

The study suggests brain areas can dynamically "rewrite" sensory reality. Do you find this idea:

  • 67% Fascinating and believable
  • 22% Unsure
  • 10% Overstated or exaggerated

EmailComments
cger...Just look at how the Progressive Leftist are rewriting history. Have you seen the new show about our revolution against England????? Progressive Leftist are insane and dangerous people and need to seek mental health care.
crai...I don’t understand how anyone reading 2 paragraphs could have an informed opinion on any medical topic.
kvas...If anybody doubts that your brain can make you see things the way you want to see them, spend a few seasons umpiring high school baseball games. People sitting in seats 150 feet away from the play, at exactly the wrong angle to be able to see the ball meet the runner at second base, and full of prejudice in how they want the play to be called will swear that your out call was beyond wrong, that you must be biased against their little Jimmy or their little Jimmy's team. Yeah, of course the brain rewrites sensory reality.
bjef...Everything you see is based upon the brain identifying the percentage of three electromagnetic frequencies detected by the three cones in the eye that are responsive. So we don't see colors-we see electromagnetic radiation in the visual range and the brain teaches us what certain combinations mean. So since everything is a construct to some degree, it's interesting, but how can we apply that to do anything?
