TikTok Under Siege: Zero-Day Hack Targets Celebrities and Brands

A zero-day hack is compromising TikTok accounts through malicious DMs. Accounts, including CNN, Paris Hilton, and Sony, are affected.

The malware spreads just by opening a DM, no clicks required. TikTok's security team is aware and working to fix it. They are helping affected users regain access and enhancing security.

Last year, over 700,000 Turkish accounts were hacked due to insecure authentication methods. In 2022, a single-click vulnerability was found in the app.

For now, experts advise avoiding opening DMs on TikTok until the issue is resolved.

In April, US job openings fell to 8.06 million. This is the lowest level in over three years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The decline was broad, affecting sectors like healthcare, manufacturing, and government.

The number of job openings per unemployed worker also dropped to 1.2, the lowest since June 2021. Hiring rates remained unchanged. Layoffs also remained low, and quits rate is at its lowest level since 2020.

Economists believe the job market is normalizing from its pandemic disruption. This could help the Federal Reserve manage inflation without causing mass unemployment.

Elon Musk Diverts Nvidia AI Chips from Tesla

Musk disclosed that half of Tesla's $10 billion AI budget will be for internal projects. Nvidia hardware forms about two-thirds of Tesla’s AI training superclusters costs.

However, an Nvidia memo reveals Musk redirected 12,000 AI chips from Tesla to xAI. This action delayed Tesla’s access to over $500 million worth of processors.

The move caused concern among Tesla shareholders about Musk's commitment to the EV maker. Tesla plans to expand its Texas Giga factory to house 50,000 Nvidia H100 chips for Full Self-Driving training.
