West African Military Intervention Looms as French Embassy Attacked in Niger
- The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) bloc issued sanctions and threatened to use force if the military leaders in Niger fail to reinstate ousted President Mohammed Bazoum within a week.

Major DoD Compromise Reveals Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities
- The Air Force is investigating a “critical compromise” of communications across 17 DoD facilities by one of its engineers.
- The investigation was prompted by a report that the engineer had stolen government radio technologies and had “unauthorized administrator access” to Air Force technologies.
- The engineer’s home was raided and evidence was found that suggested he also had access to communications of the FBI and various Tennessee state agencies.
