Case Against James Comey
A federal judge found legal errors and potential misconduct in the case against former FBI Director James Comey, who faces false statements and obstruction charges for his 2020 Senate testimony on Russian election interference.
The judge ordered the Justice Department to release all grand jury materials from the September 2025 proceedings led by Trump-appointed, inexperienced U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan. The judge noted improper legal guidance and unusual grand jury deliberations, raising questions about the indictment’s validity. Prosecutors opposed the ruling.
The case began after Trump publicly pushed for Comey’s prosecution. The decision could impact other politically sensitive investigations tied to the current administration amid rising political and legal tensions.
Do you believe the judge’s order to release grand jury materials in the Comey case is necessary to ensure fairness or an overreach into prosecutorial discretion?Click to see live results and comment! |

But what can you actually DO about the proclaimed ‘AI bubble’? Billionaires know an alternative…
Sure, if you held your stocks since the dotcom bubble, you would’ve been up—eventually. But three years after the dot-com bust the S&P 500 was still far down from its peak. So, how else can you invest when almost every market is tied to stocks?
Lo and behold, billionaires have an alternative way to diversify: allocate to a physical asset class that outpaced the S&P by 15% from 1995 to 2025, with almost no correlation to equities. It’s part of a massive global market, long leveraged by the ultra-wealthy (Bezos, Gates, Rockefellers etc).

Market Jitters
The S&P 500 fell nearly 1%, ending a 138-day streak above its 50-day moving average. Bitcoin dropped below $91,500, with traders betting on a decline to $80,000. Alphabet shares rose 3.9% after Berkshire Hathaway bought a $4.3 billion stake; Nvidia and Apple shares fell ahead of earnings.
So far, 82.7% of 456 S&P 500 companies beat earnings estimates. The September jobs report, delayed 43 days, will be released Thursday; private surveys indicate a slowing labor market.
The Fed cut rates 25 basis points in October, with a 56% chance of holding rates steady in December. August construction spending rose 0.2% but is down 1.6% year-over-year.

What if you knew what the most powerful insiders in the country were really doing with their own money?
Not what they say on TV, but what they're actually buying and selling.
This week, we tracked 20 trades from 6 members of Congress.
A Vice-Chair on the House Financial Services committee just made ten separate trades. A Senator's spouse dumped up to $250,000 of Goldman Sachs. Another member, sitting on the Energy & Commerce Committee, just sold a major consumer brand and moved into T-Bills.
These aren't random guesses. They're signals.
While most people trade on public headlines, a very small group trades on better information. This is your chance to see what they see. We've analyzed every move.
If you're making financial decisions without this intelligence, you're trading at a disadvantage.
F-35 for Saudi Arabia
President Trump approved the sale of up to 48 F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, making it the second Middle East country after Israel to receive the fifth-generation stealth aircraft.
The multi-billion-dollar deal shifts regional military dynamics and may affect Israel's qualitative military edge, protected by U.S. law. Israel does not oppose the sale but seeks conditions requiring Saudi normalization with Israel and limits on where the jets are deployed.
Congress must review the agreement. The UAE’s previous F-35 deal stalled over security concerns. The sale aims to strengthen U.S.-Saudi ties, coinciding with talks on a broader security agreement during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit.

SEC Shifts Proxy Voting Rules
The SEC will pause rulings on common shareholder proxy objections, like filing timeliness and ownership thresholds, until at least mid-2026. This allows companies to exclude activist shareholder proposals, especially on ESG issues, by relying more on state laws such as Delaware’s.
SEC Chairman Paul Atkins supports this, citing compliance with state law, while critics warn it could effectively end shareholder proposals as known. Annually, about half of exemption requests to exclude shareholder votes are granted. The policy shift aims to reduce SEC workload strained by over 900 delayed registration filings and government shutdowns.
Democratic Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw opposes the change, calling it hostile to shareholders. Activists may redirect efforts toward challenging individual board directors.

Unlocking T Cells
Researchers identified that cancer cells induce T cell exhaustion by promoting CD47 protein on T cells, which binds thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) produced by tumors. Blocking the CD47-TSP-1 interaction with the peptide TAX2 reactivated T cells, slowed tumor growth in mice with melanoma and colorectal cancer, and enhanced immune response.
Deleting CD47 or TSP-1 similarly reduced exhaustion and tumor progression. TAX2 combined with PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor therapy outperformed either treatment alone in controlling colorectal tumors.
This dual blockade approach offers a potential new avenue to boost immunotherapy effectiveness, particularly for patients resistant to current treatments. Funding came from the NIH, Department of Defense, and cancer research foundations.

Gut Bacteria in Longevity Science
Researchers found that the antibiotic cephaloridine stimulates gut bacteria to produce more colanic acid, a compound linked to lifespan extension. In roundworms, low-dose cephaloridine increased lifespan.
In mice, the treatment improved aging-related health markers: males showed higher good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol, while females had reduced insulin levels. Cephaloridine acts only within the gut without systemic absorption, minimizing side effects.
This approach targets gut microbiota to promote longevity, offering a new direction for drug development focused on microbial-produced compounds rather than direct body intervention.
