Good morning news friend! Discover today’s defining stories and the future they set in motion. 📰🌟
Your CPA is optimizing for April 15th. You need to optimize for the decade. These goals are mutually exclusive.
Here’s the hard truth: Most CPAs are just compliance machines. They file "clean returns" to avoid audits today, but that safety is costing you millions in the long run. We call this “Temporal Malpractice”.
While you’re high-fiving over a refund, you’re walking into hidden traps:
The Window Problem: Missing Roth conversions during low-income years.
The SALT Blindspot: Ignoring state tax drag that compounds to six figures.
The Volatility Penalty: Triggering Medicare surcharges because you didn’t model a liquidity event.
This deep dive is a system patch. It teaches you to stop being a passive taxpayer and start running your household like a Capital Allocator.
Stop playing the game one move at a time.
I also extracted the “12 Questions to Ask Your CPA” script from the guide.. Use it to find out if your advisor is playing checkers while you’re trying to play chess.

Fed Holds Rates Steady
The Federal Reserve paused its interest rate at 3.5%–3.75%, after three cuts in late 2025. The vote was 10-2, with dissenters favoring a 0.25% cut.
Chair Powell cited solid economic growth, a 4.4% unemployment rate, and easing inflation above the 2% target. The Fed upgraded growth forecasts and removed downside employment risk warnings.
Markets responded calmly; the 10-year Treasury yield rose to 4.26%, stocks were stable, and the next rate cut is expected no earlier than June. Powell faces a DOJ probe and political pressure ahead of his May term end, with Trump expected to name his successor.

U.S. Population Growth Slows
U.S. population growth slowed to 0.5% from July 2024 to June 2025, adding 1.8 million people—the slowest since 2021.
Net international migration dropped sharply from 2.7 million to 1.3 million, driving the slowdown. Births increased slightly to 3.6 million but didn't offset lower immigration. All states saw immigration declines, with California losing about 9,465 residents due to migration and domestic outflows.
The South leads in domestic migration gains, while Florida, especially Miami, saw declines. The Census Bureau projects immigration could fall below the pandemic low to 321,000 this year.
Reduced immigration and modest birth growth align with current border and visa restrictions, impacting states with historically high immigration.

I love longevity hacks, but this one actually kept me up at night.
Most guys worry about heart attacks or cholesterol. But there is a "Silent Assassin" lurking in your body right now that kills 30% of its victims within 12 months of striking.
It’s a hip fracture.
If you enter a hospital with a broken hip today, there is a 1-in-4 chance you won't be alive next year. For men? The odds are even worse.
I just went deep down the rabbit hole on the Bone Density Blueprint. It turns out, your skeleton isn't just a rock—it's a bank account. And if you are over 45, you are losing "money" every single day.
The scariest part? 50% of people who suffer a fracture don't even have osteoporosis. They are in the "gray zone" that most doctors ignore until it's too late.
We spent 50 hours breaking down the science of skeletal armor.
The "Calcium Paradox" that calcifies your arteries instead of your bones.
Why walking is useless for density (and what you need to do instead).
The "Protein Scaffold" you are neglecting.
Don’t become a statistic.
Big Tech’s AI Bets
Microsoft, Meta, and Tesla are significantly increasing AI investments in 2026. Microsoft’s quarterly spending hit $37.5 billion, up 66%, with two-thirds on chips; Azure revenue grew 39%, and cloud backlog doubled to $625 billion, but shares fell 6.5%.
Meta boosted capital expenditures 73% to $115-$135 billion, aiming for “superintelligence,” with Q4 ad revenue up 24% and expenses set to rise up to 44%; its stock rose 10%.
Tesla plans over $20 billion in capital expenditures, including $2 billion for Musk’s AI startup xAI; 2025 revenue dipped 3%, but automotive margins improved, and deliveries are expected to rise 8.2%.
Combined AI spending by major tech exceeds $500 billion in 2026.
Do you think AI growth in cloud computing (e.g., Microsoft Azure) will drive the next wave of digital transformation or simply reinforce existing tech monopolies?Click to see live results and comment! |
Massive Residential Proxy Network
Google seized multiple domains linked to Ipidea, a large residential proxy network operating at least 13 brands and controlling over nine million Android devices across 220 countries.
Ipidea’s network also involved 600+ Android apps and 3,075 Windows files. Residential proxies route traffic through hijacked consumer IPs, facilitating criminal and state-sponsored cyber activities, including a 2023 hack by the Russian-linked group Midnight Blizzard.
Founded in 2020 with several hundred employees based in China, Ipidea claims to oppose illegal use. Last year, hackers exploited Ipidea’s infrastructure, hijacking two million devices to form Kimwolf, the largest botnet ever, conducting massive DDoS attacks.
Google’s multi-faceted takedown targeted court orders, technical seizures, and Android protections to disrupt this network.

Night Owl Risks
A UK Biobank study of 300,000 adults over 14 years found night owls face a 16% higher risk of first heart attack or stroke than intermediate sleepers. About 8% were night owls, 24% morning people.
Night owls scored worse on heart health metrics, especially women, who had a 79% higher chance of poor cardiovascular health due to poor diet, smoking, and insufficient sleep.
Misaligned internal clocks may disrupt metabolism and heart risk. Behavioral changes like quitting smoking, improving sleep, and diet can help. Study limitations include self-reported chronotypes and mostly white, healthier participants.
The study links late sleep habits with increased cardiovascular risk.

Cancer Bubbles
Scientists identified extracellular vesicles—tiny particles carrying cancer proteins and genetic material—that enable metastasis by altering healthy cells.
Researchers created liposomes mimicking these vesicles, achieving up to 50% protein encapsulation, aiming for 90%. Fluorescent tracking shows these bubbles influence cancer spread, especially to the liver.
Liposomes also deliver drugs like curcumin and paclitaxel directly to tumors, improving treatment precision and reducing toxicity. Future work focuses on enhancing encapsulation, understanding vesicle composition, and animal testing.
This approach could block metastasis and improve survival by targeting cancer’s spread mechanism through these nano-sized bubbles.
