Maduro Captured
The U.S. captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife in Operation Absolute Resolve, deploying over 150 aircraft, including F-35s and F-22s. Special Forces stormed Maduro’s Caracas safe house after months of CIA intelligence gathering.
Maduro was flown to the U.S., facing narco-terrorism charges in Manhattan. Venezuela’s Supreme Court named Vice President Delcy Rodríguez interim president, with elections mandated within 30 days. President Trump announced U.S. oversight of Venezuela during the transition, involving major oil companies and potential troop deployments.
The US will enforce an oil “quarantine” targeting sanctioned Venezuelan shipments, seizing oil via court orders to pressure the new regime.
The US demands Venezuela sever ties with Iran, Hezbollah, Cuba, and end drug trafficking, preventing oil revenues from aiding adversaries.

OPEC+ Holds Steady
OPEC+ will keep oil production steady through Q1 2026, pausing output hikes despite a 18% price drop in 2025 and an earlier increase of 2.9 million barrels per day.
The group includes Saudi Arabia, Russia, UAE, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Iraq, Algeria, and Oman, supplying half of global oil. Political tensions persist, especially between Saudi Arabia and UAE, but OPEC+ prioritizes market stability.
The US captured Venezuela’s president, promising investments to revive its oil sector, which holds the world’s largest reserves but produces under 1% of demand. Experts doubt near-term Venezuelan output growth.
OPEC+ awaits clarity on these developments while forecasting a global oil surplus in 2026.

I track my net worth religiously. But I recently read a deep dive that made me realize I was ignoring my most critical asset class: my brain.
If you’re over 45, this should scare you: Your brain volume is currently shrinking by 5% per decade. You are losing "neural capital" every single day.
But there’s a loophole.
It’s called "The Cognitive Reserve Protocol."
The report breaks down the famous "Nun Study." These women had brains fully ridden with Alzheimer’s pathology—plaques, tangles, the works—yet they had zero dementia symptoms. They functioned perfectly until they died.
How? They built a fortress of "Cognitive Reserve."
This isn't about doing Sudoku. It’s a biological protocol:
How to trigger BDNF (the brain's fertilizer) through specific exercise.
Why "Type 3 Diabetes" is starving your neurons.
The "Superager" blueprint to keep a 50-year-old brain at 80.
The Lancet Commission says 45% of dementia is preventable. You can't afford to be on the wrong side of that stat.
Don’t let your brain go bankrupt. Read this now.
Tesla Overtaken by BYD
BYD surpassed Tesla as the leading global EV seller in 2025, delivering 2.26 million vehicles, up 28%, while Tesla’s deliveries fell 9% to 1.64 million.
Tesla’s fourth-quarter sales dropped 15.6%, impacted by the end of the $7,500 U.S. federal EV tax credit. BYD’s international sales grew 150%, reaching 1 million outside China, especially expanding in Europe. Tesla introduced lower-priced Model Y and Model 3 “Standard” versions, but price cuts disappointed investors.
Despite delivery declines, Tesla’s stock rose 11.4%, supported by investor interest in its robotics and self-driving ventures. Tesla’s core EV sales generated $21.2 billion in Q3. The EV market shifts as BYD expands and Tesla faces increasing competition and policy challenges.

I hate losing money. I hate losing money to bad investments, and I really hate losing money to unnecessary taxes.
If you have built any real wealth, you have a silent partner waiting at the finish line: The IRS. And they want 40% of everything above the exemption limit.
But right now, we are in a historic anomaly.
It’s called the "Estate Exemption Superwindow" (2026–2028).
We just uploaded a deep dive on exactly how to navigate this. The new "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" just uncapped the exemption to $15 million ($30 million for couples).
This guide explains:
The "Dynasty Trust": How to shield your assets for generations (not just your kids, but your great-grandkids).
Valuation Discounts: How to legally transfer a $30M business while only using $15M of your exemption.
The "Superwindow" Strategy: Why waiting until 2029 could cost your heirs millions, even if the law is "permanent."
This is the playbook the ultra-wealthy use to stay ultra-wealthy.
If you plan on dying with zero, ignore this. If you plan on leaving a legacy, this is mandatory reading.
Keep your money.
US Hiring
The US added about 60,000 jobs in December 2025, totaling roughly 670,000 for the year—far below 2024’s 2 million. Unemployment edged down to 4.5%.
Hiring slowed as companies, benefiting from AI automation, maintained output with fewer new employees amid cost pressures and trade uncertainties. Layoffs remained rare, producing a “low-hire, low-fire” labor market.
The Federal Reserve cut interest rates three times late in 2025 but remains cautious, seeking clear inflation decline before further easing. Employers expect moderate hiring in 2026 despite a 13% drop in hiring intent.
Economists warn a prolonged hiring freeze is unsustainable due to retirements, with risks of recession or stable hiring ahead.

Worsened Type 2 Diabetes
Sulphonylureas, common type 2 diabetes drugs like glimepiride and glibenclamide, may worsen the disease by damaging pancreatic β cells. These drugs cause β cells to lose their insulin-producing identity, reduce key gene expression, increase cell death, and lower insulin secretion.
Over time, this diminishes drug effectiveness and accelerates diabetes progression. The loss of β cell identity may be reversible, offering potential for therapies to restore function.
This research explains secondary failure, where sulphonylureas stop controlling blood sugar effectively, and urges caution in their long-term use. Further clinical studies are needed to validate these findings and guide treatment adjustments.

Tattoo Ink and Your Immune System
Tattoo inks contain heavy metals and chemical pigments that migrate to lymph nodes, causing prolonged inflammation.
Studies show ink can kill macrophages, weakening immune defenses and altering vaccine responses—mice with tattoos had reduced antibody reactions to COVID-19 vaccines but stronger responses to flu shots.
Red, yellow, and orange inks commonly trigger delayed allergic reactions intensified by sun or immune changes. Ink pigments, originally for industrial use, may break down into potentially carcinogenic compounds, though no direct cancer link in humans exists.
Tattooing carries infection risks, especially with poor hygiene. Regulations vary globally. Experts recommend caution, including avoiding vaccinations in tattooed skin. More research is needed on tattoos' long-term immune effects.
