Good morning news friend! Discover today’s defining stories and the future they set in motion. 📰🌟

I love longevity hacks, but this one actually kept me up at night.

Most guys worry about heart attacks or cholesterol. But there is a "Silent Assassin" lurking in your body right now that kills 30% of its victims within 12 months of striking.

It’s a hip fracture.

If you enter a hospital with a broken hip today, there is a 1-in-4 chance you won't be alive next year. For men? The odds are even worse.

I just went deep down the rabbit hole on the Bone Density Blueprint. It turns out, your skeleton isn't just a rock—it's a bank account. And if you are over 45, you are losing "money" every single day.

The scariest part? 50% of people who suffer a fracture don't even have osteoporosis. They are in the "gray zone" that most doctors ignore until it's too late.

We spent 50 hours breaking down the science of skeletal armor.

The "Calcium Paradox" that calcifies your arteries instead of your bones.

Why walking is useless for density (and what you need to do instead).

The "Protein Scaffold" you are neglecting.

Don’t become a statistic.

Trump’s Davos Return

President Trump returns to the World Economic Forum in Davos with a large U.S. delegation, including Secretary of State Rubio and Treasury Secretary Bessent.

He will push housing affordability reforms, notably banning large investors from single-family homes, and escalate trade tensions by threatening tariffs on eight European countries over Greenland.

Trump proposed a “Board of Peace” to oversee Gaza reconstruction, requiring $1 billion buy-in and granting him decision power, drawing mixed reactions including Israeli opposition and interest from Russia.

The forum’s focus shifts from climate and innovation to geopolitics, trade disputes, and AI’s impact. Klaus Schwab resigned as WEF chair, replaced by BlackRock’s Larry Fink and André Hoffmann.

Do you view President Trump’s personal attendance at Davos after six years as primarily a positive or negative development for U.S. global influence?

Climate Risks for Homes

Over 25% of U.S. homes face severe climate risks amid rising extreme weather events, causing $115 billion in damage and 276 deaths last year.

Federal tools like FEMA’s Future Risk Index were removed, leaving private firms like First Street to provide climate risk data, often for a fee. First Street’s models, used by insurers, forecast risks up to 30 years but face accuracy issues and conflicts with other providers’ ratings.

High climate risk scores reduce home values and delay sales, as seen in cases like John Simeone’s disputed flood rating. Lawsuits have been filed against firms for alleged misleading scores.

Experts advise caution when buying and recommend community-level government planning.

When buying a home, how important should climate risk scores be in your decision?

I just got my bloodwork back. My doctor said I was fine. After reading this deep dive, I realized "fine" just means "average," and average Americans die of heart disease.

If you are over 45, you are relying on diagnostics from the 1970s.

Standard lipid panels use the "Friedewald equation"—a 50-year-old math problem that estimates your risk. It fails constantly. Half of all heart attack victims have "optimal" LDL levels.

This report breaks down the "Advanced Protocol" you need to demand:

  • ApoB: Why counting the "boats" (particles) matters more than the "cargo" (cholesterol).

  • Lp(a): The genetic "sticky killer" found in 20% of people that statins do not touch.

  • Soft Plaque: Why a Calcium Score of 0 does not mean you are safe.

  • The Stress Test Scam: Why your treadmill test will show "normal" even if your arteries are 69% blocked.

  • Don't bet your life on average care. Get the real data.

China's Population Crisis

China’s population fell by 3.4 million in 2025 to 1.405 billion, continuing a four-year decline. Birth rates hit a record low of 5.63 per 1,000 people, with 7.9 million births versus 11.3 million deaths.

The fertility rate remains near 1.0, below the 2.1 replacement rate, despite policies allowing up to three children and incentives like cash payments and extended maternity leave. High child-rearing costs and lifestyle preferences deter births.

A new 13% tax on contraceptives sparked controversy amid the decline. The aging population (23% over 60) strains pensions and shrinks the workforce.

Without immigration, China’s population loss may continue, threatening economic growth and social stability.

Do you think China's population crisis is recoverable?

24/7 Tokenized Securities Trading

The NYSE is developing a blockchain-based platform for 24/7 trading of tokenized securities with instant settlement, using stablecoins for funding.

This platform will operate separately from the traditional NYSE and requires regulatory approval. The NYSE owner, ICE, is collaborating with Citigroup and Bank of New York Mellon to support tokenized deposits.

ICE has invested $2 billion in Polymarket but the new platform is independently developed. JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and State Street have launched tokenized money-market funds.

Nasdaq seeks 23-hour trading approval, while Robinhood and Charles Schwab expanded hours. If approved, the platform could enable continuous trading of blue-chip tokenized shares, blending traditional finance with crypto technology.

Do you think 24/7 trading on the NYSE will improve overall market efficiency?

Inflammation’s Off Switch

Researchers identified epoxy-oxylipins as natural inflammation "off switches." A drug (GSK2256294) blocking the sEH enzyme raised epoxy-oxylipin levels in 24 volunteers, reducing intermediate monocytes linked to chronic inflammation and speeding pain resolution.

One epoxy-oxylipin, 12,13-EpOME, inhibits p38 MAPK, a protein driving harmful immune changes. Separately, obesity triggers chronic inflammation via overactive NLRP3 inflammasome in macrophages, driven by oxidized mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA).

In obesity, phosphorylation switches off the SAMHD1 enzyme, causing excess DNA building blocks that damage mtDNA. Mice lacking SAMHD1 develop inflammation, type 2 diabetes, and fatty liver.

Targeting these pathways could lead to new treatments for chronic inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and cardiovascular illness.

When it comes to treating inflammation, would you prefer a drug that reduces pain quickly but doesn’t affect visible symptoms (redness, swelling)?

Psychedelics without Hallucinations

Researchers developed new brain drugs that activate serotonin 5-HT2A receptors using a light-driven method combining amino acids with tryptamine.

Of 100 tested molecules, five showed 61%-93% efficacy in lab tests; compound D5 acted as a full agonist with 93% efficacy. Unlike typical strong receptor activators, D5 did not trigger hallucinogenic behaviors in mice.

This indicates full receptor activation without hallucinogenic side effects, offering a novel drug structure for treating depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Further studies aim to understand D5’s unique effects.

The approach is simpler and environmentally friendly, potentially enabling psychedelic benefits without perception alterations.

Do you think the absence of hallucinogenic effects might reduce the overall therapeutic benefit of serotonin receptor drugs?
