U.S. Withdrawal from Iran

President Trump announced U.S. military withdrawal from Iran within 2-3 weeks, claiming objectives met, with Iran needing 15-20 years to rebuild its military.

The conflict, ongoing since February 28, involves Iranian attacks on Gulf states and Israel, prompting Israeli strikes on Tehran.

The UAE, hit by nearly 2,500 Iranian missiles and drones, is shifting from neutrality and preparing to assist the U.S. in reopening the Strait of Hormuz by force if needed.

The U.S. deployed three carrier strike groups to the region, using UAE bases and equipment. Oil prices surged amid the war, affecting U.S. gasoline prices. China, Pakistan proposed a peace plan; Gulf states favor continuing the war to weaken Iran.

Do you agree with President Trump's assessment that the war objectives have been accomplished?

Ballroom Blocked

A federal judge blocked construction of President Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom on the East Wing site, ruling the project lacks explicit congressional approval.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation sued, arguing Trump exceeded authority by demolishing the historic 1902 East Wing and starting construction without Congress. The Justice Department is appealing.

The ballroom, funded by private donors including Nvidia, Apple, and Microsoft, is designed for 1,000 people and aims to modernize White House infrastructure. Aboveground work was to start in April.

Trump also plans renovations of the Kennedy Center, which preservationists are suing to block. The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts approved the ballroom design 6-0.

Should the President have the authority to demolish and rebuild historic federal buildings without explicit congressional approval?

Think about your last doctor’s visit. You waited weeks for the appointment. Sat in the lobby for 30 minutes. Then got exactly five rushed minutes with a doctor staring at a laptop.

You aren’t crazy. The system is rigged.

Private equity quietly bought up American medicine. They poured $104 billion into local clinics last year. Their goal? Turn your doctor into a billing machine with a strict 15-minute quota.

The terrifying part? A burned-out, rushed doctor is 2.2x more likely to make a medical error.

While most people are stuck fighting surprise out-of-network bills, a small group of insiders are quietly opting out. They use a completely legal model to get 60-minute visits, wholesale lab prices, and 24/7 direct text access to their doctor.

We just published a massive deep dive on the "Velvet Rope Illusion." We expose the financial playbook ruining your clinic, and the exact 3-question test to find a doctor who actually works for you.

Your health is your most valuable asset. Don't let a corporate landlord manage it.

Tariff Refund Wait: 45 Days

The Supreme Court ruled on February 20, 2026, that tariffs imposed under the Trump administration’s IEEPA were unlawful. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will take up to 45 days to process refunds using its consolidating CAPE system, currently between 60% and 85% complete across its modules.

Over 26,600 importers, representing 78% of $120 billion in IEEPA tariff entries, have registered for digital refunds. CBP has collected or expects $166 billion in duties from 330,000 importers on 53 million shipments.

Initially, the system will accept suspended, extended, under-review entries, covering 63% of unpaid entries.

CBP plans to expand CAPE to include liquidated entries and enhance compliance and reporting tools, aiming to minimize litigation.

Is it possible for the Fed to successfully balance inflation control and economic growth during ongoing geopolitical uncertainty?

AI Shakeup

OpenAI raised $122 billion, valuing the company at $852 billion. Amazon led with $50 billion, including a $35 billion conditional investment tied to OpenAI's IPO or AGI development.

Nvidia and SoftBank each invested $30 billion. OpenAI generates $2 billion monthly, with enterprise sales comprising 40% of revenue, expected to reach 50% by 2026. It introduced ads, earning $100 million annualized in six weeks, and will replace its Sora AI video product with a new "SuperApp" combining chatbot, coding, and browsing features.

Anthropic leaked Claude AI source code twice, citing packaging errors but no customer data compromised. Perplexity AI faces a lawsuit alleging unauthorized data sharing with Meta and Google, which it denies.

Is the rapid growth in AI companies’ valuations, such as OpenAI’s $852 billion, justified by current AI capabilities?

Coffee & Pressure

Caffeine raises systolic blood pressure by 3–15 mm Hg and diastolic by 4–13 mm Hg within 30 minutes to 2 hours, lasting 3–6 hours.

About 31% of adults have hypertension; half are unaware, and 47% of treated cases remain uncontrolled. Coffee’s caffeine increases heart rate and narrows vessels, temporarily raising blood pressure, especially in rarely caffeinated or hypertensive individuals.

A large review found no link between coffee and long-term hypertension risk. However, adults with severe hypertension (≥160/100 mm Hg) who drink two or more cups daily double their cardiovascular death risk.

Experts recommend limiting coffee to one cup daily if severely hypertensive and avoiding caffeine before blood pressure checks.

Do the potential benefits of the phytochemicals in coffee outweigh its temporary blood pressure increase?

Microplastic Contamination Dilemma

Scientists studying microplastics in Michigan’s air found contamination from lab gloves, which transfer stearate salts that mimic polyethylene in spectroscopy tests.

This caused microplastic counts over 1,000 times higher than prior studies, with some gloves contributing over 7,000 false particles per square millimeter, mostly under 5 micrometers. These small particles pose greater health risks.

Researchers recommend avoiding gloves or using stearate-free gloves like those for electronics manufacturing. They developed methods to distinguish glove contaminants from real microplastics in past data.

The team will continue air microplastic analysis without gloves to prevent contamination, which may reshape future microplastic research and environmental policies.

Do you think current reports of microplastic pollution have likely overestimated the true extent due to methodological errors?
