US Strikes Iran

Operation Midnight Hammer involved seven B-2 stealth bombers and a submarine launching over 75 precision weapons against Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites.

Fourteen 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs penetrated deep underground, causing severe damage to Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities. Iran’s air defenses did not respond. Iran reportedly moved some 60% enriched uranium before the strike.

President Donald Trump called the damage “monumental” and hinted at possible regime change if Iran fails to “make Iran great again.”

Following the attack, Iran launched missile strikes at Israel but avoided direct confrontations with U.S. forces. The U.S. reinforced 40,000 troops in the region. The strike sets back Iran’s nuclear program but leaves uncertainty about remaining capabilities.

Should regime change in Iran be considered a goal in future U.S. strategies following this operation?

Meta's AI Hiring Blitz

Mark Zuckerberg is leading Meta’s aggressive AI talent recruitment, offering packages up to $100 million. Meta acquired a stake in AI startup Scale, appointing its CEO Alexandr Wang to head Meta’s AI team.

The company also invested in Safe Superintelligence and is negotiating to hire its CEO Daniel Gross and ex-GitHub CEO Nat Friedman. Despite these efforts, many top AI researchers remain loyal to OpenAI, which counters Meta with higher pay and roles.

Meta faces challenges including criticism over AI benchmark manipulation and delays in launching its flagship AI model. Zuckerberg personally manages recruitment, promising unlimited computing resources, but success in outpacing OpenAI remains uncertain.

Do you believe Meta’s approach of personally recruiting AI talent with massive financial incentives is the best way to advance AI development?

This Company with a pre-money valuation of only C$3million is completing a C$3million seed equity raise for the restart of the fully permitted Gold Road mine in Arizona, USA. The current low company valuation offers near-term potential for a significant re-rating from the production start, a public quotation, and an additional one million ounces of gold exploration upside.

The cost to build Gold Road from scratch today would be close to US$100 million and management plans to grow production to 20,000 ounces of gold per year in 2025/26. In a strong gold price environment this could lead to a US$40+million EBITDA in 2026 and potential for a very healthy dividend yield paid in physical gold and silver.

Management has a proven track record and plans to go public in Q1 2026.

GOP Shrinks Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill”

Senate GOP plans a vote on Trump’s tax-and-spending bill extending 2017 tax cuts, funding border security and defense, and eliminating taxes on tips and overtime.

The bill has been scaled back after Senate parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough ruled several provisions ineligible for budget reconciliation, which requires only a simple majority. R

emoved items include increased state costs for food benefit errors, a ban on illegal immigrants receiving nutrition aid, stopping Consumer Financial Protection Bureau funding, and merging the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board into the SEC.

One provision remains to withhold broadband funds from states regulating artificial intelligence. Senate Republicans aim to finalize the bill and send it to Trump by July 4.

Will the final bill shape tax policy and regulation positively or negatively for the next decade?

Tesla’s Robotaxi Launch

Tesla launched a robotaxi service in Austin, operating 10-20 driverless Model Ys within a 30-minute geofenced area. Rides cost $4.20, run 6 a.m.–midnight, and are limited to invited passengers 18 and older, with a Tesla employee onboard as a safety monitor who cannot intervene.

Tesla avoids hazardous conditions and relies solely on cameras for autonomy, unlike rivals using multiple sensors. Texas requires permits for autonomous vehicles starting September, easing approval but allowing revocation for safety issues.

Tesla plans a dedicated Cybercab next year and aims to expand.

Do you believe fully autonomous robotaxis can be as safe as human-driven taxis?

Unlocking Longevity with Rapamycin

Rapamycin extends lifespan in animals by 15-20%, matching effects of dietary restriction, while metformin shows no clear benefit. Trametinib, a cancer drug, adds a 5-10% lifespan extension.

Combined, they increase mouse lifespan by about 30%, reduce liver and spleen tumors, lower brain aging markers, and decrease inflammation without worsening rapamycin’s side effects. The combination uniquely alters thousands of genes linked to inflammation and cancer.

In studies with 876 mice, treated animals also showed reduced heart aging and healthier weight profiles. Both drugs are FDA-approved, enabling faster human trial initiation.

Would you personally choose to undergo periodic low-dose rapamycin treatment if proven effective and safe?

Ketamine Plus Treatment

A trial with 32 adults having treatment-resistant depression combined six ketamine infusions over four weeks with weekly psychotherapy in a supportive setting.

Depression scores dropped by about 30%, with reductions in suicidal thoughts and anxiety. Benefits lasted at least eight weeks, longer than typical ketamine treatments. Participants experiencing intense emotional or mystical episodes during sessions showed the greatest improvement.

The “Montreal Model” integrates traditional psychiatry with psychedelic therapy, using calming environments and guided mindfulness. This method can be applied safely in public healthcare, aiming to standardize ketamine treatment.

Given the study’s small sample size (32 patients), how confident are you in the generalizability of these results to the wider population?
