USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group
The USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike group deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area to support anti-narcotics operations targeting Transnational Criminal Organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The group includes over 4,000 sailors, nine air squadrons, guided-missile destroyers, and missile defense ships. This deployment adds to a U.S. regional military buildup of eight warships, a submarine, and thousands of personnel. Since September, U.S. forces have conducted 19 strikes killing at least 76 alleged traffickers.
The buildup has increased tensions with Venezuela and Colombia; Venezuela is preparing a hybrid defense strategy with outdated Russian equipment, while Russia offers military support.

The AI Race Just Went Nuclear — Own the Rails.
Meta, Google, and Microsoft just reported record profits — and record AI infrastructure spending:
Meta boosted its AI budget to as much as $72 billion this year.
Google raised its estimate to $93 billion for 2025.
Microsoft is following suit, investing heavily in AI data centers and decision layers.
While Wall Street reacts, the message is clear: AI infrastructure is the next trillion-dollar frontier.
RAD Intel already builds that infrastructure — the AI decision layer powering marketing performance for Fortune 1000 brands. Backed by Adobe, Fidelity Ventures, and insiders from Google, Meta, and Amazon, the company has raised $50M+, grown valuation 4,900%, and doubled sales contracts in 2025 with seven-figure contracts secured.

Supreme Court SNAP
The Supreme Court extended a pause on $4 billion in SNAP food benefits for November 2025, delaying full payments to nearly 42 million low-income Americans amid a government shutdown.
The Trump administration appealed a district judge’s order for full payments, citing budget constraints. Only about $5 billion of the usual $9 billion monthly SNAP budget is available from contingency funds during the shutdown. States faced conflicting USDA guidance on benefit issuance, while a federal judge blocked attempts to reverse issued payments.
The Senate approved a bipartisan bill to end the shutdown and fully fund SNAP through September 2026; the House was expected to vote soon, potentially resolving the issue.

SoftBank Sells $5.8 Billion Nvidia Stake
SoftBank sold all 32.1 million Nvidia shares in October, raising $5.83 billion to fund a $22.5 billion investment in OpenAI, increasing its stake from 4% to 11%, potentially up to 40% without control.
It also sold part of its T-Mobile stake for $9.17 billion. These moves support CEO Son’s AI strategy, including the $500 billion Stargate data center project. Despite Nvidia’s 3% share drop and SoftBank stock falling up to 10%, the sale aims to raise $30.5 billion this quarter for AI investments.
SoftBank remains active in AI through Arm, Ampere Computing, and robotics talks. Concerns linger over OpenAI’s $1.4 trillion infrastructure plan.

Trump’s 50-Year Mortgage
President Trump proposed 50-year mortgages to reduce monthly payments amid U.S. housing affordability issues. A typical $415,200 home at 6.17% interest sees monthly payments drop from $2,288 (30 years) to $2,022 (50 years).
However, total interest costs rise by $389,000, and equity builds slower, reaching $100,000 in 30 years versus about 13 years for 30-year loans. The plan surprised some officials and has mixed support. Critics warn longer debt may burden borrowers into retirement and increase lifetime housing costs.
Experts favor increasing housing supply and lowering construction costs over extended mortgages for affordability.

Vitamin D3 Cuts Second Heart Attack Risk
A trial of 630 heart attack patients found personalized vitamin D3 supplementation cut second heart attack risk by 50%.
Patients with initial vitamin D levels below 40 ng/mL received doses adjusted to maintain levels above 40 ng/mL, often starting at 5,000 IU, exceeding standard doses. While overall major adverse cardiac events (MACE) showed no difference, repeat heart attacks fell from 7.9% in untreated patients to 3.8% in treated ones. No adverse effects were reported.
The study suggests prior trials failed due to fixed dosing without blood level monitoring. Researchers plan larger trials to confirm results and assess effects on other heart problems.

Sweeteners Under Scrutiny
Studies link erythritol and other low-calorie sweeteners (LNCS) to heart and brain risks. Lab tests show erythritol damages blood-brain barrier cells by causing oxidative stress, reducing nitric oxide, raising endothelin-1, and blocking clot-dissolving proteins, increasing stroke risk.
Human studies find high blood erythritol doubles heart attack and stroke risk. A Brazilian study of 12,772 adults over eight years associates higher LNCS intake with a 62% faster cognitive decline, mainly affecting memory and verbal fluency, especially in adults under 60 and diabetics; tagatose showed no decline.
LNCS may disrupt metabolism and increase sugar cravings. Regulatory agencies approve erythritol, but new data urge caution and more research on long-term effects.
