Warrior Dividend
President Trump announced a $1,776 "warrior dividend" to 1.45 million active military members, totaling $2.57 billion, funded partly by tariffs and a July 4 law. He linked the amount to 1776 and defended his economic record, claiming falling inflation and blaming Democrats for prior price hikes.
Inflation stood at 3% in September, down but still concerning. Polls show persistent public worry about the cost of living, with Trump’s economic approval declining. He highlighted tax reforms and defense spending increases.
Democrats criticized the speech as disconnected from everyday struggles. The address aims to reassure voters ahead of the 2026 midterms amid ongoing economic anxiety.

Is a Third Term Possible?
Alan Dershowitz met with Donald Trump presenting a draft book arguing the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment may not clearly bar a third presidential term.
The book outlines scenarios, including an abstaining Electoral College and congressional selection, allowing a third term. Trump found the topic interesting but reportedly does not intend to run again, affirming in October 2025 he believes a third term is unconstitutional.
Republican donor Miriam Adelson pledged $250 million if Trump runs again. Legal experts largely reject Dershowitz’s views, calling some scenarios “absurd.”

Most wealth advisors are still obsessed with IRS brackets. They are fighting the last war.
I just went through a forensic audit of the new "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (OBBBA), and the data is clear: The federal government is no longer the main variable in your wealth equation.
The real threat is now hyper-local.
The US has split into two fiscal species: "Winner" states and "Loser" states.
If you are a high-earner in a "Loser" state (NY, CA, NJ, MA), you aren't just paying taxes. You are paying a "residency penalty."
The 14.4% Spread: The cost of staying in CA vs. moving to a zero-tax state is now mathematically irrational.
The Estate Cliff: In NY, earning $1 over the limit can trigger a tax bill of hundreds of thousands.
The "Hotel California" Risk: States are creating exit taxes that track you even after you leave.
Federal planning is maintenance. State planning is survival.
If you have assets to protect, your zip code matters more than your bracket.
US Boosts Taiwan Defense
The US approved an $11.1 billion arms sale to Taiwan, including HIMARS rocket systems ($4.05 billion), howitzers ($4 billion), Javelin anti-tank missiles, drones, and artillery.
Taiwan aims to enhance asymmetric warfare capabilities with mobile, effective weapons. A supplemental $40 billion defense budget for 2026-2033 was announced. The deal is under Congressional review with broad Taiwanese political support.
Separately, the US Senate passed a $901 billion 2026 National Defense Authorization Act, raising troop pay 4%, funding $800 million to Ukraine, $175 million to Baltic states, and maintaining 76,000 troops in Europe.
The NDAA repeals Iraq war authorizations and ends certain Pentagon diversity programs, focusing on military strength and alliances.

I found something weird in the lobbying filings this morning.
Usually, spending shifts in boring, predictable increments. But a company called Hawkeye 360 just broke the pattern. They went from spending $0 in Washington to dropping $2.2 million in a single filing period.
That is not a budget adjustment. That is an invasion.
Here is what the media is missing: Hawkeye 360 doesn’t build tanks or planes. They specialize in "RF Mapping"—using satellites to track electronic signals from space.
The sudden spending confirms a massive shift in Defense policy. The government is quietly moving from building spy satellites to buying the data directly from commercial vendors.
Hawkeye 360 is private. You can’t buy them.
But you don't need to.
There is one specific public stock that is already positioned as the primary vendor for this new "Commercial RF" budget line. While Wall Street is distracted by AI, this company is quietly securing government contracts that guarantee revenue for the next decade.
This is the kind of asymmetry we look for: A private signal that triggers a public windfall.
The filing just hit. The crowd hasn't reacted yet.
AI Investment Frenzy
OpenAI is in early talks to raise tens of billions of dollars, potentially valuing the company at $750 billion, though details remain preliminary.
Indian AI firm RRP Semiconductor surged over 55,000% in 20 months through December, the largest rise globally for companies valued above $1 billion. Micron Technology expects Q1 revenue of $18.3–$19.1 billion, surpassing the $14.4 billion forecast, with adjusted EPS of $8.22–$8.62, nearly double estimates.
AI-driven demand boosts valuations, stock rallies, and chip sales, but analysts warn about the sustainability of rapid price increases amid a possible market bubble.

High-Intensity Interval Training
A study with patients newly diagnosed with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) compared high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to moderate home exercise over 12 weeks.
The HIIT group increased aerobic capacity by 16% versus 1.8% in the control group and showed improved muscle endurance. Muscle biopsies revealed enhanced mitochondrial function post-HIIT. Disease activity remained unchanged, indicating no increase in inflammation or muscle damage.
Researchers conclude HIIT is safe and improves fitness and stamina in IIM patients, potentially reducing cardiovascular risk and aiding independence. The study is limited by size and duration; further research is needed to confirm long-term effects and benefits.

Cannabis Fights Ovarian Cancer
CBD and THC together slowed ovarian cancer cell growth and migration in vitro, affecting both platinum-sensitive and resistant cell lines. The 1:1 CBD-THC combination showed stronger effects than either compound alone, potentially reducing metastasis.
Healthy cells experienced minimal harm. The treatment restored regulation of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, often overactive in ovarian cancer, which may reduce tumor growth and drug resistance.
Ovarian cancer causes the highest mortality among gynecological cancers and current treatments have limitations. These findings suggest cannabis compounds could lead to safer therapies, but the results are preliminary, requiring clinical trials and further research. Legal and regulatory challenges for cannabis-based medicines remain.
